loads to report SIGH don't quite know how to phrase it. home visit went well I AM APPROVED:jumpj oy: so a stipend and HEALTH INSURANCE and they are talking of getting ken a walker and a ramp. soo relaxing after the stress of that (soo excited i forgot to ask HOW MUCH! but she mentioned tier 3 before which is the highest i guess i will find out around July 10th) then kenny and ashley come in EEK i know she should have been working until 5 SOOO mollykins turns 7 months the 5th. and she is going to be a big sister soon! i WISH i could be happy about it i really do but my calculations are 13-14 months between the babies! she hasn't had a real chance to be a baby yet . and dang nab my son is acting like a real loser KWIM?? one of those on the draw and being a real : GO GET HER" as we say around here. and all he could talk about while he was here was computer games he was trying to get Steven into(insert roll eyes and big sigh smilie here) IDK
he was raised better than that and needs to get his hind end out there to support his family and stop making babies he can not support in the manner they deserve
seems if i get good news something always comes right behind it
i am so grateful i got the caregiver position

Oh my gosh, Deb I'm so excited you got it!!!! I know that's got to be a huge relief!!!!! Yay Not sure what to say about the second baby; hoping he'll step up and be the responsible person you raised. Just the same, you'll love the new baby as much as Molly!!

Deb I am so glad you got the caregiver thing. I really hope the ramp and walker happen, I bet it'll make it a little easier.

Not sleeping; feeling very stressed about not being able to drive for at least 3 months. I feel like I can't really mention it in real life because I don't want to draw attention to it. The fact that I know I won't be driving is really upsetting. I spend 4hrs a day in my car; I don't know exactly how I'll be getting back and forth to work. Whatever it ends up being will be a big change in my day and will be beholden to others for some help; that is something I am really not good at.

Kathy- I love to travel and experience different cultures. I haven't done much though. I've been to the Bahamas, Jamaica and Mexico. I would love to go to France, Scotland, England and more islands. Oh, and Canada. I would like to drive up the east coast and see all the lighthouses and beaches and then ferry into Canada.

I didn't look into that, but did see neurologist today. He thinks the seizure was caused by a scar in my brain (mesial temporal sclerosis). I have to have an MRI to determine if there is a scar; that's scheduled for Tuesday. But then won't be back to neurologist until 6/24. At least a good thing is my boss finally sounds understanding at least to me in texts; I'm sure she's b*tching that I'm not there b/c I have a huge deadline for a huge project July 1st. But she said she wanted me to take care of myself and not worry about work and she did send me flowers. Now, my goal for the rest of the night is to stop crying already!!! I'm exhausted!

Sleep is not my friend this week. I wish I could fast forward to a different time. Tomorrow I really need to focus on getting rehydrated and eat more than once a day.

A long time ago I knew this woman from Australia and we would send pictures from our journeys/" cyber" vacations around the world. We would choose a place and plan excursions and send pictures describing what we did. Maybe it sounds a little hokey, but it was fun too. I still remember when I "went" to Tasmania and had a run-in with a tasmanian devil! Lol

Awww, Kathy, that sounds like fun. That would get your mind off daily stresses. Do you still know her?
Sorry you're not sleeping well but it's certainly understandable! Have anything to help you sleep? It might be something good to get from doc just for now. I've always heard that sleep helps healing.

The neurologist doesn't want me taking anything beside the seizure medication, no vitamins, nada, not even any coffee. I think the vitamins make me feel good, but he said no. No to everything, I really don't make a good patient because I'm so stubborn, but I'm doing what I've been told. I'm bored out of my mind and feel so trapped.

Hey Kath-- The cyber vacations sounded awesome not hokey at all. I haven't been in your situation, but I have been so depressed that I stopped functioning, stopped sleeping, and lived in a 24 hr day panic attack. The only things that brought me comfort was writing letters to my loved ones and reading books.

Thanks, Becbelle. I wish I could be back at work, but I know I'm not up to it this week, physically or emotionally. I'm hoping I'll be up for it on Monday. I've had a few offers to help me get into work and another to stay with one of my friends at her home during the week. I told one of my friends about my concerns with the need to transfer trains (I'm horrible figuring out public transportation) she said she'd make sure I knew where to find train to transfer to. I feel stupid when it comes to this stuff and pretty anxious about it and am having a hard time giving up control, especially about not being able to drive :-(

Kath, it sounds like you have options. When you are physically able, use them. I know it is hard to accept help, but ask yourself if you would do the same thing for that person. If the answer is yes, go for it. Sometimes it is a greater blessing to the person offering the help than it is to the person receiving the help.

There are several times in my life that I wished that I had accepted help. I wound up getting in bigger messes and disasters than if I had just let someone help me.

Thanks, Lucky. You're right, of course I would help someone else in same situation. If I'm up to it, I'm going to try to go in for Monday. Right now that feels so far away. I'm hoping this dizziness, uncoordination and disorientation from medication goes away soon. I'm not enjoying any of it. And I think having to cut out sleeping pills and caffeine is a bit tortorous. At least tonight I slept for 4 hours it's the most I've gotten all week and I drank more water yesterday than rest of week, still can barely eat, tongue still hurts so much from biting it. And other upside is I finally didn't cry at all yesterday; ugh wed. was a cryfest.

Thank you all for the prayers and support!

Yay for no tears!! Sounds like things are getting better. Give yourself permission to do nothing for the next 3 days. Resting should help.

Kathy, in our office, we are not allowed back to work after an accident or illness such as you and I had without an official form entitled "Medical Release to Return to Work" form, signed off by the doctor that releases you to regular duty or with restrictions or needing accomodations. Many of the symptons you describe, I have still, and ai am still not allowed back to work. Please check with your physician before you push yourself to return and put extra stress on your brain that is trying so hard to heal itself. Stress is a killer.
