Binzi is his birth name and other than that I don't know of its meaning. If he were a young pup we would probably change it, but he is 9 years old, so he will get to spend his remaining years with us. Hopefully we will have him for at least 5-6.

He had gum disease so they pulled 9 teeth and he has some knee issues on his rear legs but other than that he is in good health. He has been neutered by the Humane Society. We feel we are pretty lucky to have him too.

Auntie - Thanks for the recipe. I will give it a try-maybe a variation with pumpkin. Sounds good

Mary- So happy for you!

Strawberry- I too tried making pudding with almond milk. Ended up freezing it in little cups when it wouldn't set up. My DD loved it.

Cindy- You have a rough schedule. Hope you don't have to be back to work early after getting home so late.

Auntie - Thanks for the recipe. I wrote it down and will try it one day when I am no longer on induction.

JoLynn - I wish I had thought about freezing it. I ended up stirring a whole tub of cool whip into it, which didn't help too much. My husband ended up eating chocolate soup, LOL

Today is my weigh day and I lost 4 pounds!

My July 4th goal was to be under 300 pounds, which would mean I will have to lose 9 pounds in the next 10 days. I'm not so sure that is an attainable goal at this point, but I'll keep working on it.

I had a few struggles eating this week. I fell into old habits of binge eating late at night even though I wasn't hungry. At least I don't have any bad-for-me foods in the house, so it wasn't disastrous. I got myself back on track yesterday and didn't wake up today feeling guilty over what I ate the day before.

Yay!! 248.5lbs this morning!! m Finally seem seem to be moving again. Not much hope of reaching 240 but am so happy to be under 250. Spent several months going between 250 and 253.

MaryMary- I know you and DH will be great parents!! So happy for you.

Auntie- Love the idea for the chocolate muffin!! I make muffins in mugs all the time. Love them and they are a great, good for you dessert!! No carbs in flaxmeal! I use different flavorings with the same basic recipe. Maple is good in the morning!

Strawberry- I understand the night snacking!! That has been my downfall many days! I too eat legal foods but too late and too much!! I have been fighting the urge lately and it's working for me right now. I wanted to eat ( notice wanted not was hungry) last night at 9:00 and actually went into the kitchen. Looked at fridge and poured myself a glass of filtered water!! Was down a whole pound this morning. First time I've lost a whole pound in one day in a long time!!!!

Cindy- Hope you can get some rest soon!!! Does your DH work long hours as well? Could you possibly take a weekend off or just a night away from home to just leave everything behind and talk? Praying for you!

Strawberry and Cloud and Sk8ter - WTG on the losses !! I won't be hitting my goal of 220 either, but I am down to 229.. so it's a new decade for me too !

Cindy - I'm doing ok, thanks. Walking the track at the local community college every day, muscles are getting stronger. Still sending prayers and positive thoughts out to you

Preparing to go away this weekend with son and family, DIL's parents, brother and family and best friends. 14 of us heading north to "Storyland" in NH. The kids are 4, 3, 2, and 1 and they should have a blast. I volunteered to plan - and shop for - the food for the weekend, so should be able to stay on plan.

Congrats to strawberry, cloud and skater - I know it's a great feeling to break through the barrier.

JoanneO please enjoy yourself in Storyland. I have fond memories of our time there when our kids were little.

Binzi's first night well well. He is totally housebroken, calm cool and collected.

Hi, y'all,

MaryMary: Binzi is so cute!

oncloud9now2: boy, can I identify with night snacking. After the dishes are loaded, I try to turn off the kitchen light and not go back in there. What a great idea to just drink filtered water.

Scale has moved again, in new numbers.
Hope I can hold it there, then lower.

strawberry~ if you use just flax meal and don't add nuts or other yummies, you can do the MIM on induction.

I often add poultry spices and chicken stock to make a faux bread. Let me tell you it is great with sliced turkey and veggies when the sandwich monster comes knocking at your door.

JoLynn~ for pumpkin I use a heaping spoonful of pumpkin puree, some heavy cream, sweetener to taste and spices THEN add the beaten egg. This way I can adjust the sweetness and spices. Each MIM needs a pinch of salt. Just helps the flavor.

Cream cheese and sweetener whipped together with some vanilla make an awesome 'frosting.'

Good luck and let me know how they turn out. I am trying to find my written recipe for the pumpkin mix. Mix up a big batch then all you have to do is add wet ingredients when the time arrives.

OOOoooo I forgot about cream cheese frosting! These are sounding almost dangerous. But I'm glad there is something LC that I can go to when the mood arises.

I have a huge priaise! My DH has been doing LC with me and today his doctor took him off of his cholesterol meds and is going to be testing his blood pressure over the next two weeks to determine if he can be taken off of BP meds. At home, it has been averaging 110/70. He was so happy he was tearing up.

Jolynn - great news about your DH!
MaryMary - enjoy Binzi!
onCloud9 - congrats on the weight loss!

Have to run around town after work today to get my son's hockey skates repaired. What fun... I love watching him play though, he is so amazing on the ice.

Had 4 wings w/Dollar Tree wing sauce for dinner yesterday, zero total carbs
Made some cheddar cheese/parchment paper "cheese crackers" for a late night snack. About 1g carbs altogether.

My office has broken air conditioning and it's so hot. Drank lots of water yesterday. Hopefully it will be fixed today.

Week is flying by .... didn't have any meetings last night, came home and immediately fell asleep on couch. Still feeling tired today.

Mary ~ Awesome that Binzi is working out so great. Animals have so much unconditional

JoLynn ~ Pumpkin does sound Sometimes but this week and next week my schedule is crazy. Great news about your DH.

Strawberry ~ pounds gone forever!!

Oncloud ~ pounds gone forever!! Yes DH works long hours but they are scheduled, right now it is 4 - 10 hour days and and 1 - 8 hour overtime shift every week and they fluctuate every 2 weeks from days to afternoons. That is why we had scheduled a couple of days off but didn't end up going.

sk8termom ~ pounds gone forever!! Hope air conditioning is fixed.

JoanneO ~ Awesome about the walking and continuing to be grateful for the prayers. Sounds like you have a great weekend planned and how brilliant to organize the food.

Slender ~ pounds gone forever!!

Auntie ~ Love the idea of having frosting

Good morning - at Special Olympics Summer Games here in Ohio with my 27 year old daughter. She is doing roller skating freestyle, figures and dance later this morning. Can't wait to watch her.

Breakfast was down in the hotel lobby - not ideal but had 2 hard boiled eggs, topped them with some cream cheese and a small container (1 TB?) peanut butter. Better than the cereal/bagels/waffles that were the alternative.

Have a great day everyone!
