I'm basically following a high fat low carb diet, keeping my carbs under 20 a day.

I really eat a variety of proteins, mainly chicken, fish and eggs. I pull my carbs mostly from Atkins approved vegetables. I keep my calories around 1300 a day.

A regular menu for me is:

B 2 eggs, protein of some sort, coffee with almond milk and sweetener.

L Salad with protein, usually chicken or tuna

D Protein and vegetables

Snacks are usually proteins and fat, maybe some pepperoni, or cheese.

I drink 3 litres of water a day, and I track all of my food.

I don't know how long this rate will continue. I know a lot of it is water since I only started a week ago. But the lost water feels so great on my joints and my stomach feels so much lighter. I am eating so much fat I am so surprised. I am so glad I found this site.

Sammi, I've found that what works the best for me is to really be diligent in logging everything I put in my mouth and to make sure I drink water. If I don't my memory conveniently "forgets" the pieces of cheese, the extra pepperoni, things I wouldn't even think about before. Writing it all down keeps me accountable.

I had a week with no loss just the scale bouncing around. I ignored it and kept on doing what I knew I was supposed to be doing.

I don't do cheat days, I really just stick to my plan.

I also read a lot on this forum. It keeps me motivated.

I've been visiting my Dad in MN, which has been fun but sadly the facility does not share WiFi. I have been good, no extra carbs or other slip ups. It's relaxing here. Just woke up to some noisy wild turkeys, loved it!

Just reading a 5-4-14 article from Dr Mercola on riding our bodies of toxins. Seems we are on the right track with losing weight. Accorded to him, there are so many toxins stored in fat that it gives me new determination to get excess weight off!

I like traveling but like going home too, miss dh

Hope we all see loses!!

Don't get discouraged, I bounced between the same pound for about a week and then the scale moved. I think our bodies just somehow need to frequently adapt.

Jess....I feel your pain. I, too, bounce a LOT. Sometimes deserved and sometimes not!! However, the difference in how my body feels (hurts) when I stick to plan keeps me here.

Hey there you guys are! I was looking for the May post.
Ah well I am still hanging in there. Retaining weight I go up then down every other
Day by 2.5 lbs so I range from 217.50 to 220.5

Its the weather messes with my mood
And it don't take much for me to gain. But a lot it takes for me to loose.
I will keep going though. You guys have inspire me to!
