3 Weeks In...

3 weeks ago today I started back to low carb after a few years of doing my thing. Which apparently was eating out of control and gaining 40 pounds over where I was since the last time I low carbed.

Something inside me changed this time around. It wasn't about looking better it was about being healthier. So I approached low carb with a bit of a better mindset.

Today in rounding out April, I've lost 15 pounds and a total of 11.5 inches.

I'm looking forward to seeing where May brings me.

I don't post an awful lot on the forums, but I read them every day and all of you here continue to help and inspire me.

Welcome back Amylynn!

We all approach this WOE with different mindsets. When I started before it was all about losing weight to look better. Now this time I too am doing it for health reasons as well as wanting to look better.
I haven't lost much so far but I've lost the brain fog, my knee doesn't hurt any more, and I have so much more energy!

That's how it was for me, Jo!!
I think many of us had that mindset -- the most important thing was lose the weight and look good. I thought once I lost the weight I could eat like "normal" carb-eating people. I've got the t-shirts in size Medium to 4XL to prove that I was so wrong.

Holy Hannah, it's taken me until this time around to figure that out! I'm a slow learner what can I say!

Anyhow... Amylynn!
HUGE CONGRATS on the 15 lbs -- that's awesome.

There are wonderful people in here with years of experience doing LC and staying at goal (which is my next step in my personal journey). We are all here to support and help you on your way to your personal goal weight!

Wishing all of us continued success on our personal LC WOE journeys!!

Thanks everyone, one day at a time. Some days are easier than others that's for sure.

On some days, it's one hour or one minute at a time!!

If you follow whatever LC WOE plan you are doing (with no cheats) you will see results!

I often wonder if being morbidly obese wasn't my cross to bear, what other cross I would have? Cause you know we all have to have our crosses to bear...

Wishing all of us continued success on our personal LC WOE journeys!!
