I have got some squishy going on too, so hopefully I am due for a whoosh soon, weigh in was yesterday was down .4 , so makes 11.4 for month-still hoping to hit the 15 pound mark this month, if not my original goal was 10-15 so I will be happy

wow - went to a chinese buffet friday, thought i ate well (shrimp, veggies, salmon) but I guess not. bloated out, up 3 lbs, ugh... at least clothes are still fitting loosely so I hope this is mostly excess water weight.

Probably is fluid. They use MSG under other names. You'll be back to weight in no time!

Going to podiatrist today. They said I don't have gout.

Happy Belated Easter ~ Cooked for 10 and it was a great meal. Awesome actually having 4 days off work. I did have some stuffing and gravy. Wished it wasn't so

So nice to have friends from out of town and family over visiting.

Still haven't done the walking tape but the knee is feeling better. Hard to keep to a routine with people around.

Oncloud ~ What did the podiatrist say? Thanks for recipe and on the pounds gone.

Mary ~ So nice to hear from you

Reptogirl ~ You are doing awesome!

Sk8termom ~ Like Oncloud said, it is probably the MSG.

Yay!! 70 lbs gone. 251 this morning. Such slow loss for several months and so happy to be moving down again. One more pound to make May Day goal. Keeping fingers crossed.

Doc took xrays and said it is gout. May be caused from my lessened kidney function. I have to wait 3 weeks until it is completely out of my system and get blood work and go back...??? Thanks for asking!

Happy Tuesday ~ Attempting to get back in the groove, now I have a sore throat

Just finished meditating and now I'm off to write in my journal.

Big decision to make. There is a job that I have been asked to apply for. I for the most part love my job but the new job would be a bigger challenge, however, the last job that I applied for and didn't get, was heartbreaking. What to do ???

Oncloud - so proud of you. I am not glad that you have gout but glad that you have confirmation of the diagnosis.

Sk8termom ~ another pound bites the dust

Mary ~ how are you doing today?

On Cloud-sorry I haven't checked in for a while-the cheesy cauliflower bake-I found a recipe on this site under recipes. The heading was cauliflower.
It basically consisted of a bag of cauliflower thawed mixed with 2 eggs, 1 cup cream, 8 oz. shredded cheddar, (2 cups chopped ham-I left this out since I was cooking ham too!), salt/pepper and baked for 45 min at 375. I added some mustard and Worchester too.
It was a hit!
Although I was up 4lbs on Monday-I stuck to plan so I think it may be portions and salt.

Heading out to see the neurologist today. First visit to her today. Hope all goes well. Trying to stay in the present and do what I can today to help recover today.

Another half pound gone today! I have the doctor scales that you adjust weights for measurements. The 250 notch will be hard to cross! Each decade is hard but it seems the weighted notches are super hard. Next notch is 200 and slide top bar all the way to the right again! I'll be happy to get there.

Thanks Cindy. It is nice to know exactly what I'm dealing with.

JoLynn- That recipe sounds really good. I'm going to try it when I lose a couple more pounds.

MaryMary- Hope all goes well today. Let us know.

Cindy-Big decision. Would you regret not trying? And would your current job be in jeopardy if you went for it? I say go for it if your current position wouldn't be in jeopardy. If you don't get it, enjoy where you are!

Wednesday Check In ~ Just finished my meditation and I'm off to write in my journal. Cold is still lingering.

JoLynn ~ The recipe sounds and if my boss found out I was applying, she would not be happy but I might regret not trying. Still putting it out the universe, praying and meditating about it.

Mary ~ How did your appointment go?

OnCloud ~ Way to go!!

Cindym - when I apply for a job I think I might like, but am not sure, but others think I might be good at, I ask them why they want me on their team, why they think I would be a good addition to the team, what I coukd bring to the group, in other words, do a reverse interview. Instead of them interviewing me, I am interviewing them to see if I woukd really like to take a chance on them and see if it would be a good fit. I them give them all the reasons why I think I woukd be a good addition and then leave it in God's hands. I have no control over the results, just over the present, the now. If I give the present everything I have to give, the results will be exactly what they are supposed to be with no manipulations or regrets. At least it sounds good.

I saw the neurologist yesterday and she said I might be able to try working a couple hours a couple days a week in a couple weeks as a test. They don't want to risk any setbacks, that the injury wasn't just a bump on the head and will take time to heal. She told me not to try to remember things that with a concussion, chances are I won't remember anything more.

At least spring is finally hear for us New Englanders and the daffodils are starting to sprout.

Thursday Check In ~ Still not feeling 100%. Had a meeting at the new place today and had a great chat with the person who wants me to apply for the position (she is not the person who is responsible for hiring - she is the office manager - the board will be doing the interviewing and hiring).

I'm thinking many things. 1. We have just decided to partner to do an event and 2. With a large Board and from a small town - I just think the fact that I applied will "get out" and what if after the interview, I don't want the job.

I'm really beginning to wonder whether the stress from all the thinking is what is causing me to not feel 100%

Thanks Mary ~ I love your idea and have contemplated asking my friend if I could have a "meeting" with the Board ... not an "interview" ?? Great news from the Neurologist.

Oncloud ~ Sorry to hear that you are still having pain with your foot. Are you going back to the Dr?

Down .5lb this morning. 249.5 now. Met and surpassed my goal! So happy!!

Cindy- Doc said to wait 3weeks before getting blood work and then go back. Just going to have to live with it for now. I do believe stress causes physical pain and lowers immune system. Bless your heart! Yes, I live south of Atlanta. Lol

Just started it, the therapists kept telling me to stay focused in the present when I would start to talk about going back to work, or worrying about the future. When I came across the book I thought it might help. I will let you know. Echardt Tolle is the author.
