Starting Today...again....

I wanted to pop in here to keep myself accountable, I am starting over again, I was never really a Low Carb success story because I always gave up, well not this time. I am determined this time to become a success story. So today, March 5, 2014 I have begun my journey in earnest. I am at the highest weight I have ever been in my life, over 250 lbs. I have well over 100 pounds to lose. I feel so unhealthy, I don't recognize myself in the mirror and most of all I am disgusted I let it come to this. I know I have a very long journey ahead of me, but felt starting today on the first day of Lent will at least keep me accountable for the next few weeks, and hopefully at the end I will see results and keep plugging along. Today, to start I am giving up alcohol, I know this hinders my weight loss and caused much of my downfall, I am starting STRICT Atkins, and I will squeeze a walk in every day. Three steps to the new me.

I am starting today also! I thought the first day of Lent would be a great day to start. I LCed years ago and lost about 60 lbs, but I have gained all of it back and then some over the last 6ish years.

Just finished lunch. I did well yesterday and so far today. I am drinking more water than I normally do, so I am making more trips to the restroom. Does that count as exercise? (Just Kidding!)

Day three is creeping up on dinner time, I have been fine so far, and I know I will be tonight too. I am going to go home and make an omlette, I am not really hungry,for dinner. My fiance and kids are having pizza as it's lent. I don't think I will cave, I have never really been a fan of pizza. I will miss my wine tonight.

Sorry, it's been a very busy couple of days. I felt like I was dragging yesterday, but today I feel better. I made meatballs for dinner and they were so good!

Count me in .... I've had too many failed attempts to count. I've also had several 30 to 40 lb losses only to regain. I know lc works and Im ready to see a healthier me. Today I restart at 336lbs

Hi! I've been mia a few days but still on plan and still going strong! Weekend had a few tough moments but I made it through. I will weigh in tomorrow and post my week one results! Hoping everyone makes it throught today! One day at a time!!!!!

Back to report I am down 2.6 pounds I was hoping for more. I guess it's not 2.6 pounds gained - but after working hard and staying true it seems like a small reward. Oh well maybe there will be a woosh next week.

Yesterday I was down 2.2 pounds, which was 6 days. Today my scale didn't work at all. I am hoping I just need to replace the batteries. I will weigh tomorrow and just go with that for the one week mark.

katrun - Have you checked out the Atkins 72 thread. I did and have found some good advice. I found a meatball recipe that is so awesome I am making another batch this evening. I think I could live on these meatballs.

Still going strong - I resisted the urge to weigh in this morning - I want to see miracle numbers - and I know that isn't going to happen. Just need to stay strong this weekend!!

I am a daily weigher. I just have to know every morning. I know that daily weighing doesn't work for everyone. When will you weigh in Katrun?

My weigh in day is tomorrow - 14 days in. I messed up Sunday and had wine and carbs but got right back on the horse Monday. I am sure the scale will not be kind to me. On a positive note my fiance bought me an elliptical I am so excited to start working out! Hopefully tomorrow morning I can start, is it better to weigh in before or after a workout?

Just checking in to see how you are doing katrun? I'm doing pretty well. I've been researching more about LC and checking out some You Tube videos and I've been experimenting with some new LC recipes.

I'm starting again too. It's been a few years for me and I've gained back all of the weight I lost plus some. It's nice to meet you and I'm glad I'm starting again too.
