1/15- no weigh in - had to go out of town for the day for business; got on the road early.
1/16- 260.2 lbs
1/17- 257.8 lbs. rededicated myself to doing the right
1/18- 255.0

1/19- 253.4 lbs. First week down - 8.4 lbs. lost
1/20- 252.6 lbs. on road today sightseeing with our foreign exchange student= hope I don't gain. Have to be on the road again tomorrow for my once a week trek for work.

250, give or take two. That number has been an albatross around my neck for the last month or so. But, I have the feeling there's a good run of weight loss in my very near future.

Hello again everyone - I know I kind of disappeared there for a while, but I'm still doing the whole eggs and bacon thing. It's time to get back into the daily weigher mix. I look forward to seeing you all around.

I'm here. Like clockwork. Even when I dont want to weigh, i still do. Good for me. Bad eating yesterday made me cringe before stepping on the scale because I keep creeping higher and higher. I had some potato salad yesterday and of course cookies. And I kept going back for more. and more. ugh. Wish I could find something else to make my taste buds dance like cookies do.

Terri, how about going back to your big omelets, hamburger patties, carbsmart ice cream with pb. The hardest part is getting the cravings under control and getting the appetite back in check. After the holidays and carbs carbs carbs I am having a difficult time getting back to low carb foods. Lets keep trying!

Cathy.... back....Sorry I missed your post. I "think" I remember you from the last time I was here too.

Z.... back....I definitely remember you. Good to have you back. 100 lbs in just over a year is phenomenal!!! Good job.

Terri....The best way to get rid of the sugar cravings it to give up ALL things that taste sweet for 2 weeks....even the zero carb artificial ones. If that doesn't do it, you might try what I do for my Winter Shakes. I usually do this for dinner....unless I'm going out or to a family/friend's house for dinner.

1 & 1/2 scoops of Protein Powder (I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard); Splash of SF Davinci's Syrup; 1 to 2 Tbs HWC (gotta have some fat in there); and just enough water to make it the consistency of brownie or cake batter (add the water a little at a time....like 1/4 of a tsp or less). Then I stir in 1 - 2 TBS Cool Whip. That should take care of any sweet cravings. It has a goodly portion of Protein and VERY few carbs.

easier said than done, right? If I had control over my will at all times, I wouldn't have a weight problem in the first place!

Zay, I still eat the same foods. The omelettes, the hamburger patties etc. The cookies are an unwelcome guest!

Terri - I absolutely love the Atkins "Caramel Nut Roll" bars when I want something sweet. Only that flavor though. It's like a real candy bar. I also make the "3 minute chocolate cake" from Linda Sue's website and yesterday I made a chocolate peanut butter frosting for it. We went to a birthday party and my husband was tempted by the cake, so I promised I would make him one at home. I haven't found a good cookie sub yet though. Not one that isn't more similar to a dog treat anyway.

Sammi, I feel your pain. I too, am simply eating too many carbs. BUT also, I'm blaming the weather. I HATE winter and I tend to try to hybernate. I will find any excuse NOT to go anywhere but work, and walmart. I can't motivate myself to go to the gym. I tell myself, "as cold as it is, you walk outside sweating like that and you'll catch your death!" PLUS, I have a wood burning fireplace that is NECESSARY to keep rolling in my house to keep warm. Hubby being a trucker, and gone all week, that fireplace job falls on ME.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Spring just can't get here soon enough. And you will NEVER hear me complain about the hot weather in the summer!

Terri, me too. I've been hibernating. It is too painful to go outside. It was -15 yesterday morning when driving my son to school. soooo cold. ouch!
