Couldn't sleep tonight, too dang hot in my house >.< we're getting up to 79 today o.O So, decided to make my first LCF post, might as well kinda introduce myself. I'm 25, 5'4", live in West Texas (Odessa/Midland area), married ~2.5 years, no kiddos, 3 doggies - a heeler mix, her dalmatian mix puppy & a black/brown doxie

Been overweight my whole life, can't remember what I've weighed at various points throughout my life, but I do know I wore a 16 in 6th grade. Last tried low carb in Fall of 2012, lost about 50# over 4 months, but have managed to gain it all back as well as adding an additional 30#. After a few overwhelming breakdowns about my weight and how I feel about myself, it's time to get off my butt and get it done.

I could definitely use the support of a community and I can't wait to get to know you all!!

Kalwoma!

Hope everyone's pipes are all unfrozen. This weekend's going to get into the 40's maybe I can stop feeling so cold then!

I am so glad it's the end of the week, it's been a long one at work; can't wait until I get home tonight!

Thanks Mary & Kathy! Trying to get the day off to a good start, have a bacon quiche thingy in the oven now, will be ready when hubby wakes up. He just might have a heart attack when he realizes I've actually got breakfast made and he doesn't have to eat cereal LOL

Might have to turn the air on today, 79 might be a little rough after being in the single digits last week :\ Good luck to everyone who's dealing with cold weather today!

Kalwoman, what books have you read to prepare for this new chapter in your life. It is life changing? I do it no matter what happens. I am a different calmer person wiyhout sugar and grains in my life.

I haven't read much so far, I have a habit of buying a book and then not reading it lol Have The Primal Blueprint (read), Wheat Belly (unread), and a couple weight-loss autobiographies on the shelf at the moment. I think I've got even more stuff on my tablet I haven't touched lol What would you recommend I read?

Welcome Kalwoma! I am very new here also. I haven't read many books, but I have heard that Wheat Belly is really good. I would be very interested in what some of the other members have read, liked, and felt like helped.
Was snowing here today, but has already turned into rain. I usually love Winter, but this year, I am so ready for Spring!!! Kalwoma, I am jealous of your temps!!!

It is absolutely wonderful out today, but we're turning off cold (well "Texas" cold) Sunday with a wintery mix, booo. I'm so not a winter person lol I'd be really interested in what other members could recommend for reading as well, any help would be awesome! ^_^
