Know what I mean--

Snowing like crazy!! Probably 3 inches. Wow!! I am so worried that my DD's nurses won't show up. She will be stuck. Is not able to get in bed on her own.

Deb, maybe see if you can focus on how proud you will be of youself after not eating it? Maybe make a low carb dessert for yourself?

the report didn't say there was but it could have been, has been under 10 degrees for the whole area today BUT even with ice keeping a cool head(sorry bad pun) you will be fine i have safely taken my minivan on icy roads and passed 4 wheel drives off the road because of bad drivers

Can I just jump in here? I have looked at a few posts back and whosever baby that is, she is ADORABLE!!! I have been a lurker on this website for quite some time and now that I found a "300+" group, I am ready to really jump in, show support, and get support. I also would like to say that I am really feeling for all of you with crazy cold temps. You with snow, I am jealous of , but you guys in the teens and below zero I feel bad for. I can't wait to get to know some of you!

Valerie.

Welcome Valerie!

Atlanta is shut down. Interstates were frozen in a span of 30 min. Gridlock traffic. A lot of problems were due to so many tractor trailer trucks. They did not have chains on and if one jackknifed, it blocked several lanes. My DD got dinner from a nice neighbor and then two neighbors who have experience with handicapped got her into bed about 10:00. They assured me that they will have meals for her today and get her to bed tonight. I am so thankful. Cars must be cleared from highways before nurses can resume their schedules. Businesses and schools were closed at approximately same time so all lanes were jammed. My DS left college at 1:00pm and spent the night in a Publix after running out of gas from sitting on Interstate. He walked to the store having to abandon their new car. He got to the Publix at 10:00pm. Yesterday was an awful day for us but many poor people spent the night in their cars and students in their schools. Even little ones. Some students spent the frigid night on school buses.

spent the day working on taxes and amending steven's fasfa and i swear i must have done something wrong how could a total family income of 20000 result in a 3500 efc on the fasfa?? gah i am just in tears i was expecting an EFC of 0!
it won't let me amend anymore today so maybe i can go back in tomorrow and see what i did wrong
good news is though we get a small tax return back !!! was so afraid because Ken had been using his vacation days at 5 hours a paycheck(and they didn't take any taxes out on that small amount) that we would have to pay IN on it
and all the water in out big bathroom is frozen UGH

Hi everyone. Nurses showed up today for DD. Big load off my mind! DS got his car home today also. Bad news- our water, hot and cold, was frozen in kitchen and laundry room till a few minutes ago. Not frozen in the rest of the house.??

Deb, so glad that you got hot water again! Our pipes have froze many times already this winter, but only in the kitchen (sink is on a outside wall), but luckily we got it thawed within a day or so. By the way, what kind of Super Bowl shopping are you doing?
