Not much progress for me since last week. I really need to up my water intake, I've barely been drinking anything even though I feel very thirsty. I seem to always do this when it's cold outside. Maybe I'm trying to hibernate for the winter???

Kathy-- This time of year is really hard to get that water in! Set a small daily goal as a promise to yourself--even it it's just 16oz and after a little while, increase it. What's important is the promise being kept to yourself, nothing else. You got this!

Shantony, what really saves me is the low carb chocolate bark. I make it every week and keep it in the freezer. It has helped me tremendously . I love it. I still lose every week even though I eat a lot of this.

I have a Lindt 99% cocoa bar for emergencies. 1 carb for the whole bar. Basically just unsweetened chocolate.

This is amazing. I even added walking three miles a day.
Our group has shrunk.

really going to eat clean today... just the past few weeks have been hard.... just too many holiday memories and they kind of make me sad.... I know I just should be glad that I have such good holiday memories.. but just sad that most of my family have passed on..... sure do hate getting older......

but trying really hard.. I was doing such a great job with clean eating and exercise.... but then just stopped in my tracks... but on track again.....

hope that everyone has a great day.....

thanks Danielle - the problem is that they are in Michigan and I am here in SC... but we Skype a lot... and I will be seeing them in May..... and that is why I want to lose as much as I can - so I will not be the fat Grandma

so I will keep thinking about my Kyle, Derek and Abby and want to be healthy for them....

Good Morning All,

This so far has been such a hard month. I think I mentioned before about my puppy limping and having pain. I thought somehow he may have gotten hurt in my backyard. As it turns out , he was born with abnormal bone structure in both shoulders. If he doesn't have surgery he will limp forever and it will get much worse and he will be in great pain. He is our second rescue dog. We love him. With rescue dogs you don't know how or if they have been abused. This puppy, Auggie must have been left in a cage all the time because he is terrified of his crate. Anyway, today is surgery day and the surgical vets bill is a minimum of 5,000.00. We love this dog and he did not deserve to start life off the way he did. Our other dog had a worse story. His owner abandoned him and left him to starve as a very little puppy. He was left alone for a long time that by the time he was found, he was just skin and bones and his tail was eaten by parasites and fleas. We adopted him at 10 months and he was so thin and scared. Now this dog is two years old, 120 pounds and the love of our lives! Not only did he hit the jackpot when he was adopted by us, but we hit the jackpot too by adopting him! I am sorry to ramble on, but I am nervous about my baby's surgery today.

Diana you are such a kind person. I know you are going through such a difficult time. Do you have any family with you in SC? We are here for you. You are sooo lucky to have such beautiful grandchildren. May is right around the corner. You will be with them soon. Just think how healthy and energetic you will be when you see them.

Sammi - for Auggie..... hope that he will be ok.... you are such a great person.... I love pets... and can not stand it when people abuse their pets.....
thank you Sammi for your kind thoughts... I do have a sister and nephew here and I have four wonderful BFF's here... but I guess at holiday time I just get a tad sad.... and I tend to just put on a happy face to people here... I tend to vent to y'all - sure hope that y'all do not mind.... it has been tough getting back on track these past days.... I start out great and then end of eating something I should not... will just have to try harder.
I want my grandbabies to be proud of me.

Shay - so sorry that your scale gave you trouble.....

so had a good clean breakfast... and hope that I will carry on eating clean the rest of the day.... good luck to everyone.. love ya all....

Diana~ You're doing great... one day, one meal at a time and you'll get through. We're all here for you! Surround yourself with the family and the great friends you have, tell them how you're feeling and let them love you up and make some awesome memories with them.

Shay~ hang in there honey... new scales/new batteries suck rocks happened to me last year and it was traumatizing at first.. just keep going and do not let the numbers derail your process!

I'm struggling mentally today and its an UD for me in JUDDD. I have never lost weight this way before. I always stuck to Atkins "72. So for me right now I'm trying to let go of the thought that carbs will keep me fat and trust that lower calories over all will get me skinny. I truly believe that I need more variety in my life. Atkins was getting so boring and so routine. Plus I was never able to stop feeling like I was deprived. I thought DD would be hard but actually they are a relief. EOD I dont have to worry about food and just live.
