Almost didn't post today! I'm so disappointed with what is going on. (I have increased my water consumption and my carbs are not more than 20g per day. Lettuce, red cabbage and cucumbers were a small salad yesterday and a handful of fresh spinach in my mid-day scramble. I had fresh ground pork sausage with no sugar in the making, chicken breast sauted in olive oil with salt and pepper, a bit of colby cheese for a snack--two very thin slices. I did have two cups of coffee during the day with DaVinci sugar free flavoring and a bit of HWC.)

China, hang in there. I know when I was actively losing, I had to constantly "tweak" my plan. First it was carbs. Then i had to cut calories too. . .then i had to make sure i was consuming enough fat. Then, i starting intermittent fasting. Frankly, the fasting is what I like best, because I just don't want to be bothered thinking "what can I eat? when can I eat? how much can I eat?"

Dear Terri,

I am thinking along those lines as well. I skipped breakfast today--or more accurately, I waited until about 9:00 am and had a scant cup of coffee with some cream and a tiny bit of sf syrup. I'll wait until mid afternoon for lunch and maybe just call it dinner.

Whatever I do--Thank you so much for giving me support. I'm glad that I posted today--I know that is what I need to do. I am not ready to scrap this project yet!

Down is good! China, keep up the steady work. Things happen to our bodies that might not show up in numbers. Have you taken measurements? You may be losing there! Have you tried adding a bit of exercise of some sort? (not sure what you're doing now) IF is easy if you plan it in. I make it a point to stop eating at 6pm and then don't eat my breakfast until 10... that gives me a 16 fast window with an 8 hour food window. If I eat dinner early, then I adjust my times accordingly. Play around and see what works for your body.

This totally sounds like something my DD19 would do.... there is always 1 that refuses to listen to reason or the fact that I HAVE been 19...I GET IT!!! Best wishes to your DS and your new DIL....I'm praying you and her get along at least?

The weather is nuts in TX today. It was nice and warm at lunch but by the time I leave work, the temp will be well on it's way to the 30's. Brrr!

Hey, ya'll. I feel strange posting so late! It has been and up and down day.
Everyone looks like they are doing well--Desert Gurl what are you eating? You are flying ahead--congrats. Back on Track, you are doing well also. Good for you!

Well, the good news is that I tried on a pair of 16P jeans and could actually zip them up. -I I think that they are a bit snug in the butt--so I won't wear them quite yet--but soon.
The bad news is that I have a week of antibiotics to take. I hope that this doesn't matter too much in my slow weight loss. I actually weighed less at the Dr.'s than I do on my home scale--but since I started on my home scale--that is what I'm reporting.

Br-r-r-r! It's in the high 20's here in NC too! We aren't used to this cold weather at this time of the year!

Day 2 of the antibiotics. No change--that's probably good. I don't have any appetite, so I'm just going with the flow.

I'm in Arkansas and it was 26 this morning! YUCKY! DO.NOT.LIKE.COLD.WEATHER!!!

On another note. Every single morning, I come to work to weigh in on the big freight scale out back in the shipping room. It's not a digital scale, but a very sensitive dial scale with the weights and balances and stuff. It is precise to the half pound, and it goes up to 700lbs. Every day, I remove my jacket and shoes, my phone, glasses and I step on the scale with only a shirt and my jeans, usually.

Today, I'm wearing some really light weight, flat, ankle boots. I didn't feel like removing them or my jacket (which is just a danskin yoga type jacket, very very light weight also). I stepped up on the scale: 229.5. I'm like "yeesh! Seriously??" Let me take off the shoes and jacket. Step back up: 227.5. "WHAT? TWO POUNDS??" Step off, make sure calibration is correct, step back on: 227.5. Okay, well, let me put the boots and jacket back on and check: 229.5!!!!

So, I was thinking that I was wasting my time every day removing my shoes and jacket, but in actuality, it made a full TWO POUND DIFFERENCE!!! I'm a believer! Oh Happy Day!
