Michele, I love your crafts; they're so cute. I love snowmen.

I do some crafts, but I always try new things. I've never found one particular craft to stick with but I like to create things when the mood strikes and I love repurposing things into something different.

I have been doing Leslie Sansone later at nite and then my exercises physical therapy gave me!! My days are flying by!!!
I keep losing 4 lbs and gaining it back!!
10 lbs from goal and driving me crazy!!!
I feel good where I am tho!! I am gaining muscle also so hopefully my body will shock me one day soon!!
I am really glad everyone is trying so hard!! Let's all keep on keeping on!!

BrandiLee, I think if you do a search here or threads on "Induction Recipes", you will find some. There are links to Linda Sue's Recipes here and in the Recipe Forum there are recipes. I haven't been on Induction for about 10 years so can't help you. I do remember keeping my meals simple. Had a big salad every day, now I have 2 salads evey day plus lots of cooked veggies and a fruit. I am now at maintenance.

Hi All,

BrandiLee

I made a new recipe last night that was so tender and delicious .

4 bone in chicken breast
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup no carb italian dressing

Marinate in a zip lock bag overnight.

Put in baking pan, add garlic salt, onion powder and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake one hour at 350. Internal temp 165.

I made a little extra sauce and basted every 20 minutes.

Most of the sauce was left in the pan, but the chicken was so tender. Does anyone know this carb count?

The soy sauce and italian dressing are zero carbs per bottle.

I visited with a friend who said: if I'm not dieting, I'm gaining. That is so true, and I need to resolve myself that this is my life. I overate a bit calorie wise yesterday and I'm up .2 lbs today--not as bad as I expected.
I need to stay focused with every speck that goes into my mouth.
One breath mint is good--the whole box is not.
Going to a craft show in 2 hours with my sister in law. The last few I went to--I only bought sweatshirts for myself. Then lunch out will be a challenge.
At this point Christmas gifts are just checks for my 2 sons (that is what they preferr-and so easy for me). And a hostess gift for the one hostessing Chrismas dinner as we switch between 3 homes.
Then out to the yard to dig up those dahlias and do the hoses and faucets. It was snowing on Thursday in MIchigan. Soon I will be shoveling all that white stuff-but that is exercise.
Everyone have a great weekened and enjoy life.

Chris, have a wonderful time at the craft show. Going to one tomorrow, I think! We're slowly getting to the point of where the kids just want $ for Xmas too--makes me kinda sad, they're growing up!

Kleweless--

chris - I know - always hated all the snow in Michigan... I lived in Marshall Michigan.. not that far from ya.... one son lives in Battle Creek, MI and my other son in Kalamazoo MI.... I used to go visit them for b'days.... three grandbabies born in Jan - Feb and March... I would go in March.. brrrrrr.. told them this next year I am coming in May... want to go to BinderPark Zoo with the grandbabies... just want to miss the snow and ice...

kleweless - sure glad to have you aboard with us..... we are a pretty good support group.....

mary - sorry you are under the weather... hope you feel well soon...

did my WA early this morning... for one hour and 20 min.... wow I was on a roll.... the water was just wonderful... funny thing.. for the past five days have not lost anything just stayed the same - so weighed before going to do my WA... then something I have never done before... when I got back home I weighed again.... and I was 2.2 pounds down LOL just do not know what is going on...

going out to eat at Longhorn restaurant this evening.... will have a steak and lobster (have not had these two items in forever) so just ate a later breakfast and will not eat lunch - saving my carbs... also made a salad dressing to take.. no carbs.... just hope that I do not gain.... will do my walking DVD around 2pm... maybe that will help

Diana, I know it's frustrating when the scale appears to have a mind of its own. Try and relax and KNOW that you are doing wonderful things for yourself. Also, have you taken measurements? I bet you're losing inches right now even though the scale isn't reflecting change. You're on plan, you're exercising...all of that equals SUCCESS! Trust your process!!

Yay! I'm back at my lowest weight. I learned my lesson. No more pork rinds for me. I am having blood work done tomorrow and I am so excited. Not something that used to excite me. Heart doctor said that if it is as good or better than the last time, I can leave off the triglyceride medicine. Yay! That would make two meds dropped. I already dropped one of my two blood pressure meds.

Welcome Klew!

Mary-Sorry about your tummy ache. Hope you're better soon!

It is great how we all are so supportive of each other. Feeling better today. Made all my salads for the week. Five 18 oz supper salads and five 10 oz lunch salads. Come tomorrow, I just have to assemble the cooked veg and protein and toss an apple into the bag.

Have a great week!

got 2 bad news yesterday. My docotor's clinic is closing down and the doctors (none that I especially like) are joining other clinics, but none very close. Not that I visit them often anyway, just the hassle of finding a new guy near my home.

Then an older friend at church talked to me and mentioned my red nose and cheeks. She kindly asked if I knew it might be a sign of Lupus. No I did not, and appreciated her comment. Now I do need to find a new doctor and get checked out! More money out the door. I read the symptons on line, and I have most of them, very tired (especially my legs), thinning hair, the butterfly red area on my face. I though that these things were just age related. This is not life threatening, just deals with some heart issues, but even so.

Oh, and this morning I had a .6 weight gain, and I stayed on program yesterday!
Rats!!!

well, this morning my sister did not go with me to do our WA.... so I went and did one hour & 10 min... then Miss Mary's WA class was going to start... so I stayed and did it..... wow - was tired - but a good tired... so I did 2 hours and 10 mins of WA ...... Miss Mary's class is a lot of stretching with her aerobic workout... and that is good because I not do that in my WA workout - I do my weights, leg exercises, wind sprints and aerobic workout... so it was good to mix it up today.......

I still want to do my walking DVD... will see how I feel in a few hours

I had to eat today:
B - eggs, sausage, bacon and hot tea
L - Rotel special - cucumbers and radishes
for D - will have some crab legs

oncloud9 - glad to see you are on a roll again.. WGT - hope your Dr. visit goes well...

mary - glad that you are feeling better - and boy you were busy in the kitchen

chris - sorry to hear that... hope you find a good doctor to go to.... will say a that you are ok.....

oncloud9~ Crossing my fingers for a fabulous dr's visit! You're too cute, but no, never a cheerleader! ...maybe in my dreams though!

Mary~ good food prep does wonders for sticking to plan!

Chris~ Bummer about the doc's office...going through that with my DD17 and her pediatrician closing up shop.. Hoping you do find someone you can be comfortable with though, so you can find out about your situation....praying it's nothing.

Diana~ you are a swimming machine!

Me~ Kinda a kooky day today...started off with a morning dr appt for DD17 for a weight check at the gastro...gee, wish I had to "worry" about eating enough calories No, seriously, the poor kid's been through the ringer this year...nice to know that it's something totally manageable (gluten/soy allergies) and nothing serious.. she is a tiny lil thing and I struggle to get her to eat enough! I'm behind in my meals for the day ( I eat every 3hrs) so my day feels messed up...contemplating a nap here in a second
I'm really wanting to get into a holiday mood but struggling to when I'm sweating to 90 degree weather!

Two pounds down today!! Yay!! 49 lbs. I so want to be in the 50 lb. Club!! I am announcing it but over 2 lbs. usually doesn't stick. We'll see. Let you know when I get blood results.

Chris- Just started with a new doc because my other one quit. Decided to stay home with her children. Hope you find a good one.

Paw- I couldn't keep up with you!

Mary- Glad you're feeling better. What do you put in your salads? How much of each?

Danielle- 90 degrees? I can't imagine. Frost here in the mornings and in the 30's later this week!

Michele~ No news is good news, right?

oncloud9~ Oooooo sooooo close! How flippin exciting is that!?! I so cannot wait to say I've lost 50 lbs--that's my first big goal! You've done fantastic!!
Yes, 90 degrees I do not do well in the heat.....you're wondering why we live here....total lapse of reasoning, and totally not using my brain when I agreed to living in the heat Counting down the time when it's time to move back to CA!
---------------------

So I almost caved....for whatever reason I have been super hungry today..Contemplated some tortilla chips for about 2 seconds and then opted for a T of natural peanut butter--totally on plan and lots of fat. Phew!

Did my walking today. The house is nearly finished, just gutters, garage doors and back porch w/ kitchen window.

On cloud, on the 10 oz salad, I use 2 oz spring mix greens, then a bit of baby cukess, zucchini, summer squash, carrot, celery, red pepper, purple onion and shiritake mushrooms with two oz tomato and sun dried tomato. With the larger salad, I buy the romaine 3 to a bag, and use one each night, usually weighs 6-8 oz, then I use the same veggies as above just end up with 18 oz. I use a tbsp dressing at lunch and 3 tbsp at supper. Lately I have been adding 1/2 cup canned beets or green beans to it before I eat it. I have that with my warmed up tofu, pumpkin & flax/chia seed pudding. Heavenly, at least for me.

oncloud9 - wow WTG you down 2 lbs and thisclose to 50 lbs off...
I am only at 30 lbs... so can not wait until I hit that 50 lb mark gone...

Danielle - wow 90 degrees..... we were not too bad here in SC... mid 60's during the day... and mid 40's at night... but tonight they said it will be 30 and only in the low 50's tomorrow..... brrrrrrrrrr that I do not like...
good job of choosing the better things to eat... tho I could not eat PB... I adore PB.. and I would eat way too much if I have it in the house....

mary - you salads sound I usually do not make salads at home.. it is just me and lettuce does not keep that well... tho I do sometimes make a taco salad (w/o the tacos ) so I have on hand radishes, cucumbers and celery... those I love to eat... have them almost every day....

did my WA with my sister early this morning..... feel good.... not not that tired after all that WA I did yesterday...... but have not eaten breakfast yet.. just not hungry right now... I know that I will have to eat something soon.. because of my darn diabetics..... so I will go and fix something..... right now just having a hot cup of tea......

hope that everyone has a great day....

I love it! I'm down about 19lbs in about 9 weeks. I eat 5x a day, alternating high carb days w/ low carb days--protein & veggies at every meal.. drink a min. of 1 gallon of water daily.. that's it. Oh, and I get a reward day once a week to eat whatever I want. If you go to his website you'll find out all kinds of information about carb cycling.
