still no one checking in???

we found a box of my kids books about ruined in one of the old buildings GAH i am soo mad at myself they were NOT supposed to be in that building i also had a stuffed Barney that interacted with kids kinda like teddy ruxpin? it would watch videos and talk to the kids and it was ruined too leak in the back of the old building but dang i swear i did not think there was anything left in it but plastic toys and some old furniture that wasn't hurt
can not figure out what that one box was doing in there:cry::cry:

MaryMary 11-02-2013 09:22 PM

I found out today that since I need to stop losing, I was asked by my food guide to add a piece of fruit back into my day at lunch or dinner or have an oz more protein at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I chose the fruit because I figure it will stop the losing better than the protein. I think I eat plenty of protein and don't meed any more as I already 90-100 grams a day. Fiber is ually around 40-45 grams and fat is around 80-90 grams a day.

Part of learning maintenance is to try something for a month and see how it goes. We can always change it next month.

Thanks, Deb, for sharing all the colorful pictures. By the end of the month Thanksgiving will be a memory and we can either come out of it on plan and healthier or NOT. I choose on plan and healthier.

Walking my 10,000 steps a day will be harder this month as the frigid weather will be setting in soon. It is beautiful today, but I hear the northern winds are a blowing tomorrow night. Brrr!

debkeversole 11-03-2013 07:19 AM

Hello my friends! I spent the weekend out of town at my BFF's house. I left Friday and my nephew and his fiance cooked a "Thanksgiving Dinner" for us! Turkey, dressing.....I had turkey, green beans, deviled eggs and a small salad. I did it!! I can do it on Thanksgiving too!! Then went to BFF's house and spent night. DH's went to a flea market and she and I went shopping and out to eat. We sat up late talking Saturday night and slept in Sunday. Her DH cooked sausages, pork chops, cheese eggs and had sliced tomatoes. DH's had biscuits. We drove home today and I'm just now getting on computer. How is everyone?

Deb- Beautiful job on the page as usual!! Lovely pics!!! Thank you so much for starting us off!

Mary- I plan to be like you in another year or so. On maintenance. You are doing so well. Thank you for staying here and letting us learn from you and be inspired by you!

Chewie- I know it's an adjustment for you! Just get on here when you can.

Where is Annett?

Keepingawake 11-03-2013 06:56 PM

Is it ok if I join the group? I love reading everyone's posts here and need to find a check in location. Lately, I've plateaued weight-wise and have been under a lot of stress. I'm really looking forward to the holidays and some time off from work, but my partner's family is coming to stay with us for an extended visit (including a crazy sister who is a handful and a half) and I feel like the stress is just going to continue. I hope everyone had a great Sunday!

oncloud9now2 11-03-2013 07:28 PM

Sure!!!!:welcome::welcome:We love getting new people in here! We lost our only guy when he went on a trip to Disney World. He never came back.(In here anyway!LOL) Wish he would. I think everyone in here tries to be supportive and no judgments. We're not perfect. If we mess up, we just start over the next day.:high5: Tell us about yourself.

oncloud9now2 11-03-2013 07:29 PM

BTW Keep, did you read October's posts?

Keepingawake 11-03-2013 08:14 PM

Thank you! I'm 36, a history teacher, and going through my third stab at low carb. I live in the bay area (I grew up here too) and have lived in California my whole life.

I did read the October posts so I feel fairly caught up. I have a busy, busy week ahead, but was able to sleep in a little today, so I'm ready!

MaryMary 11-04-2013 04:19 AM

Welcome, KeepingAwake. Do you have a name or would you prefer we call you by your LCF's name?

oncloud9now2 11-04-2013 06:01 AM

Good Morning Glories!! I got up earlier this morning due to the time change. Wish it would stay one way or the other. Tired from my weekend of shopping and not being in my own bed. Lol.

Deb- Thinking about you today. I know it's a happy day for you!:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Keep-I am a retired teacher. I know how busy you are through the week. We have another teacher on here. Eliza is a real sweetheart. She will definitely relate.

oncloud9now2 11-04-2013 08:55 AM

We are having a Jingle Bell Challenge if anyone would like to join.

chewiegand 11-04-2013 09:38 AM

Morning. Rainy here for the next few days.

Welcome, KeepingAwake.

Deb, I roasted 2 chickens, made creamed spinach, corn on the cob, rolls and caramel apple cheesecake bars for dessert yesterday. The app was just a cheeseball and crackers. It was all good.

LOVE LOVE LOVE thanksgiving food MY favorite and sounds soo yummy LISTEN you can have stuffing too this recipe by linda sue is amazing and soo good!
and YES though the recipe says it doesn't it takes like stuffing to me!!

Quote:

http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/food_ph...m_dressing.jpg
SAUSAGE-MUSHROOM "DRESSING"
1 pound pork sausage
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped, about 4 ounces
2 stalks celery, coarsely chopped
16 ounces fresh mushrooms, quartered
4 ounces Monterey jack cheese, shredded
Salt and pepper, to taste

In a large skillet, brown the sausage along with the onion and celery. Cook until the celery is tender; drain the grease. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are tender. Put the sausage mixture in a casserole dish and stir in the cheese. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Microwave to melt the cheese and heat through or bake at 350 for 30 minutes until browned on top.

Makes 4-6 servings
Can be frozen

Per 1/4 Recipe: 509 Calories; 39g Fat; 33g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 6g Net Carbs
Per 1/6 Recipe: 339 Calories; 26g Fat; 22g Protein; 5g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs

Although the texture isn't really like real stuffing, the flavors are close. I made this for our Thanksgiving dinner and it was nice to have that stuffing flavor along with my meat and gravy. I would probably leave out the cheese next time. The cheese did help hold everything together but it got a little oily when I reheated it. I don't think it would be too hard to eat without the cheese as long as you keep the bits of sausage and mushrooms kind of big. Click the photo to see a close-up.

Hi all.

Chewy, I'm sorry "life is hard". I don't know what's going on in your life, but I'm thinking about you.

Grandma, Deb! Thanking about you, too.

Hi Keepingawake. I'm kinda new after being gone for along time.

oncloud9now2 11-04-2013 01:46 PM

Sounds good Deb! Need to try that before Thanksgiving and maybe take a small one for my DSis and me. Thanks.

chewiegand 11-04-2013 02:32 PM
