Hi peeps. Busy at work today. Just checking in. It was icy this morning and there were tons of accidents. I'm so glad I work close to home.

I only work another full day tomorrow and then we get out early on Wed and off till Monday. It'll be a nice long weekend so I can decorate for Christmas.

Hello all,

I'm checking in. I lost 5.5 lbs this week.

Today I made cheesecake, 3 pies and baked 10 Cornish hens. I didn't not lick the spoon not once. Just 4 of these day to go with sugar, fat and carbs everywhere.. lol

????? Am I suppose to change my current weight as I lose in my profile? I was not sure what folk do.

HI everyone!

not much going on over here for thanksgiving. i only have thursday off of work, and we don't have family coming to town. so i think we're going out to dinner tonight, probably just chill around the house on thursday. i have considered doing some shopping on thursday since i have to work friday... but i might just do all my shopping on-line this year! LOL!

Hi everybody!!! My company is gone and it's just DH and me again.Got some Christmas shopping done while she was here and some good deals. We used coupons of course and matched them with sale items. Still have shopping to do. Have all the groceries for Thanksgiving. We pulled out the tree and decor when they left and got it put out except for ornaments on tree. I'm thinking about making my cheesecake tonight. Think it's too early?

Ugh on the rain . We're expecting 4 inches of it starting tonight. Not looking forward the commute tomorrow. Tonight was 2 hrs 45mins normally in rush hour is 90min. Be safe with the electricity. I hope Ken takes it easy.

Hi Gloria, there's always hope and you have a great support group. My foodplan has evoled over time. Basically, it is 3 weighed & measured meals with nothing in between except no calorie beverages. I have an outline I follow. It is structured and I eat delicious meals. In the beginning I planned it meal by meal. I don't eat sugar or grain and alcohol. Some other fokds because they are real starchy. But what I do eat I can get quite creative.

Over the last few weeks I evolved from meat eater to vegetarian to plant-based food plan, but the outline of what I ate 10 years ago is the same as it js today, just more fruit has been added to stop the weightloss. If you tried it for a day, you would be amazed how easy it is. For breakast, 4 oz protein and 1 fruit. Breakfast is where I ate my only fruit all those years. 4 oz protein is best described as (4 oz any meat, fish or poultry, 2 eggs, 8 oz yogurt, 16 oz milk, 2 oz hard cheese) if I don't know I have a friend I can ask. Some fruits I don't eat, like watermelon, bananas, pears, many tropical fruits).

Let me kow if you want more info.

I don't count carbs because I weigh & measure the portions. It works and I love the variety. Lunch and dinner are even better. I don't starve.

Love all the beautiful pics. Got home and DH had put ornaments on tree and hung a lot of our bells and cranberry strings....Made the cheesecake last night. Made my mama's Christmas Salad today and DH has the deer roast in crockpot. I've got to make the broccoli quiche and I'll be finished for this dinner.

My DD and her BF came yesterday and just left to drive home. We went for a brisk walk at the park this morning after breakfast. Then I started cooking around 10 am. I made a soy tempeh dish, with sauteed celery, onions & mushrooms with poultry seasoning. I made the cranberry sauce (with pineapple & orange) yesterday sweetened with stevia. Then I made a stuffing with Ezekiel raisin bread, a mix of a variety of veggies, celery, mushrooms, red peppers carrot, zucchini, walnuts, poultry seasoning and cilantro. I made the cauliflower rice (looked more like couscous) with a little corn, edamame, red pepper, carrots, cilantro and low sodium soy sauce with curry powder. Big hit! Did some steamed broccoli florets, black olives, kimchi, for sides and a big tossed salad. By the end everyone was stuffed. They didn't want dessert. So I relaxed, ate my orange, while my DD cleaned up and put food away. I will have my dessert tonight in the form of pumpkin, tofu, flaxseed whipped in blender with flavoring and stevia, pp spice and vanilla.

I weighed and measured my portions, my whole meal was about 500 calories. Pretty typical lunch portions. Totally satisfied.
