Newbie here...

Hey guys..my first post...been trying to do the low carb for three weeks..lost 12 lbs...I'm committed..but I wonder..do any of you get sick of this food? I'm going through a hard time eating the same hitching over and over.. Chicken, turkey and eggs just disgust me right now.. I had celery and cheese for dinner bc I couldn't handle any more meat tonight!

Oh, Leelee, there is so much more to low carbing than that! Go to the recipe and suggestions room and find Linda Sue, she has a ton of awesome recipes that'll help you change things up. And it'll be any thing but boring. There are a lot of great cooks over there!

WOE: No set diet - doing 20 net carbs daily
Start Date: Nov. 15, 2012
LeeLee - I'm a first time poster too. Have been looking over this website for almost a year now. Started my low carb middle of last Nov. To date, I have lost 94 lbs. I am hoping for 100 by my one year mark. I still have a long way to go. Reading some of the posts here have been very inspiring. Look around I order low carb bread and buns and the Dreamfields low carb pasta all the time. There are many great products to choose from. Be sure you toast the bread, as it doesn't taste good untoasted. I'm assuming, as you are posting in this section, you have a long way to go too. Don't get frustrated, the end results are sooooo worth it. I still have more than 100lbs to lose and will be here for a long time to come. Good Luck!!

Another question...I've been on this low carb diet for going on 4 weeks...I've lost 13 lbs and hardly any in almost 2 wks...I have to admit that I was having the occasional glass of wine...I have now stopped the wine bc I think it's the problem. I am stubborn and I had to prove to myself that I couldn't have it on this diet, lol...So, my question is do I start over and stay on induction for another 2 weeks? When do you know it's ok to start bringing a few more carbs in? I need to go reread the things I've learned I guess...and I'm feeling foggy all the time! Is this normal? But I do have a tons for energy..just foggy energy...I really don't want to fail...thanks..

My feeling, LeeLee, is not to bring more carbs in right now, if you want to continue to lose.
I'd also avoid alcohol for now. The body will burn the alcohol first and I might guess (absent stats) you want to burn fat first. Some people do drink and lose. Some people don't. If you do, count the carbs for sure. It's your choice ultimately.

If you want to have a drink it would be better to drink like vodka or rum with a diet soda!! No Carbs!!

I'm a new poster as well. I started at 319lb, and am somewhere around 308, last I checked. I've been working on this LCHF woe since Feb, with all the successes and failures that come of it (more failures than successes, at this point, but oh well). The idea is to never give up, and not to get discouraged.

Keep at it.
