Quick interstitial update. Today is my single meal day. I limit my intake one day a week in an effort to kick-start some weight loss. So far, it seems to be working. I don't usually put down interstitial numbers, but after eating only one meal today, and swimming, and walking - I'm at 260.0, and getting ready to go to bed.

Back on plan yesterday and doing well. I feel like after Vegas, I need to eat really clean. I am disappointed that my numbers were so high because I was never out of control of my eating. I ate off plan but I didn't go crazy. I guess it just affirms that this is the way I am supposed to eat. As much as I resist, if carbs were good for me I wouldn't have gained nine pounds in five days! My hope this week is to get within one to two pounds of my lowest weight last week (284.8).

I've got some challenges coming up. A wedding on Saturday and I know there is going to be tons of mexican food. I don't care about the cake but the tamales are going to be difficult to pass by. If I know my girlfriend, she will have carne asada so I can eat that.

I'm going to Rhode Island in two weeks but I think I will be able to eat pretty good while there. I'm staying at my sister's house and being from a landlocked state, I want tons of seafood. My plan is to eat low carb with an occasional treat thrown in.

Terri, I saw your comment and am dumbfounded that it was removed. I could see if it was posted on the main lobby but we're not allowed to react to the world around us in our little groups? Weird.

mcneilnomore~ Vegas! Oh how I love that place!! :cool: I think alot of your "gain" is just water, especially if you stayed in control which probably equates to staying within a decent calorie range. Traveling does alot for the bloat factor. I'm willing to bet that after a couple days of clean eating and lots of water, those pounds will start to disappear once again. Hang in there, I know it's frustrating! Just know that it's not *real*, per se. You've got alot going on, but totally think you can do very well as long as you remain vigilant in what you're eating and how much. Also, if you can abstain from alcohol that will work in your favor as well. ;)

Danielle, girl, i hear you on the beer. I was an AVID beer drinker until i started this WOE. I haven't had ONE SINGLE TASTE of beer since April 26th 2012. Kinda like quitting smoking, I also quit beer. But that does NOT mean I can't enjoy alcohol! especially the NO CARB kind! :D Honestly, don't know what I'd do without it! It quells boredom sometimes especially before bed.

Today marks two whole weeks on induction, with no cheating! woohoo! I have lost a total of 14 lbs. already and feeling physically great. My hubby just started the program two days ago, so I'm going to continue induction for a while until I feel comfortable moving on to the next phase.

Laura - that scale is definitely playing tricks on you! :mad: I would just pretend I didn't see that and try again in a day or two. Sooo darn close to onederland! You can do it! :high5:

Getting better....I'm drinking my water and taking diurex to help with the bloat. My feet and ankles were so swollen that I was in pain.

Vodka's no carb, right? ;) I had my fill of cosmopolitans in Vegas but I don't drink normally so I don't see any issues with that any time soon.

Had a grilled chicken salad yesterday - that's bcz I didn't have a lot of time to eat... gonna remain strict on the carb intake and drink a LOT of water today to keep the ball rolling.
