Hi all! Sorry I have been MIA for a few days, super busy at home and work this week. I at least wanted to drop by to say hello and post my weigh in. My weight has been frustrating me to no end this past week, bouncing between 262 and 261 the entire time. I'm just going to mark it up as my body catching up with the water weight lost in the first two weeks. Overall, I'm still down 5 lbs in October so far, I'm ok with that. My ultimate goal each month is 8-10 lbs. Crossing my fingers that the next two weeks turn out better! I'm going to add some exercise and see if that helps. Have a great week ladies!

up a pound today but I'm good with this as long as my bounces stay under 195. I've met my goal for the month so gonna try for another 5 and see what happens.

Aw Danielle, just toss your scale out with mine.

Mine is being stubborn...still. But, I said I would add exercise and planned to do 8 minutes on my elliptical tonight. I didn't. Nope. I went the whole 30 minutes on the uphill program! Woohoo

Despite my scale being a turd for the past week, I'm still optimistic and making progress.

Laura - I would love to have a restaurant also. I think I would definitely do that if I ever won the lottery. I just wish I had more time to cook! I still haven't made that darn pumpkin "pie" I was daydreaming about last week.

Burlesml - Welcome. I'm a newbie also. I've only been on program for 3ish weeks now and I've noticed I am rarely hungry and can easily resist cravings. I never thought that would be possible for me, so it's kind of a miracle. Hang in there! The first few days are tough, but it does get easier!

If you ladies like shirataki noodles you should try zucchini noodles. I'm loving them.

Sammi - Way to go! You're sooo close to a new "decade" -- keep it up!

Judy - you must be doing something right, your scale is sure showing it!

It has been a long day. Goodnight all.

Bren~ unfortunately I know EXACTLY why my scale is up. Road trip. It's mostly water weight because I hardly had any water all weekend... Hopefully it'll go down in the morning!
Glad I'm not the only 1 who's called my scale names like that!

Bren - Thanks for the welcome and support. Awesome job on your elliptical. Those things are HARD!

Diana - Thanks for the welcome as well...another SC girl! Whoohoo You are doing a ton of excercise, I bet you ARE gaining muscle

Hope everybody has a great day! Mine will be full of errands and I *hope* a little sleep

Woohoo.... always makes you feel great when other people notice doesn't it - really pleased for you!
___

Well, after my DD yesterday I'm down to 202.2 lbs this morning, a loss of 2.2 lbs since weighing in on Sunday morning (an UD) so feeling much better, feel like I'm back on track again now with it.

Hopefully I might actually have a proper loss to report again on Sunday!

Thanks Diana! I was surprised I made it all the way through since I haven't exercised in about two years. Well, unless carrying a 26 lb. baby around counts for something.

I use a spiral vegetable slicer, where you just put the zucchini (or any long veg) on there and rotate the handle, they are more like the consistency of spaghetti - it's about $30 and has a couple of other attachment blades, but there is also a hand held julienne peeler that people use which is under $10. One of my favorite recipes, if it can even be called that, is to toss them in pesto, top with some fresh mozzarella and a few grape tomatoes cut in half. I've had them both raw and sauteed for a few minutes. I love zucchini in any form, but mentally it kind of feels like I'm having pasta and not just eating chunks of zucchini for the millionth time. I do use ribbons as well when I'm making a zucchini lasagna, I just use a regular peeler for those and press firmly so they're a little thicker.

Monica~ it always feels great when someone else notices all of our hard work! Great job!

Gina~ Lookin good!!! I know you can do this, hang on and wait for the weight to fall off!

Sammi~ hang in there!!

Bren~ I'm gonna have to get one of those slicers. My kids love zucchini so this may be fun to use them as noodles. Thanks for sharing!

Me~ My weight went back down..I'm back to 243.6...I actually ended up making my challenge goal..it feels really really good to know that I CAN do this! I ate super clean LC yesterday and nearly 2 gallons of water.. I had to, I consumed SO much sodium over the weekend while we were away it was insane. Just glad it's back to normal now! Moving forward!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

YAY Monica! Love when people notice. I know I have problems noticing that I've lost anything. To me I look the same. So when others notice it's just great.

Gina YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bren just love those "noodles" I use them for everything.

Has anybody tried the Atkins frozen meals? I'm not a fan of frozen meals, but I had nothing to bring to work tonight and no time to shop and cook. Picked up the sausage primivera meal and it's not too bad actually. Definitely won't make a habit out of them, but nice to know it's an option!

I'm baaaack. Well, sort of. My computer isn't working and my husband took his laptop on a business trip I'm on my mom's computer right now.

My kitchen is almost done! We just need to paint and tile the floor. I am going to start unpacking today so hopefully I will find my scale and can get on the weight chart again. I'm scared though. I have been doing WA but not doing so well with eating.

Hi All,

Welcome back Jazlyn. You've been missed. I know what you mean about not having a kitchen available. Your kitchen will be beautiful once it's done. Good job going to WA. It sounds like fun.

Monica , I have tried the Atkins frozen dinners. I like them, but then I can eat almost anything.

Happy Friday Eve.

Oh my - I haven't posted in a couple of days.. Thankfully, not because I have been particularly naughty, but rather just busy. My biggest hurdle is getting my butt out the door in the a.m. to exercise. Every single day I tell myself that today IS the day I am going to find the time and start. Then, something comes up (most of the time just in my head) and I don't.

I am getting a lot of work done and am not sitting around eating bon-bons, so that is a good thing! The next 3 days are busy once again.. so I dunno.

I did order a Ketogenic powder mix to be used with a mini-fast by Dr. Whitaker. I had to order something else on this site, and this was on a huge sale (wonder why?), so I thought maybe I'd try it. The idea is Intermittent Fasting by skipping breakfast and having this powder in water before exercise. Then eat normally low carb the rest of the day. Since I know I need to get my exercise out of the way first thing if I am going to do it at all, this seemed reasonable.. we'll see.

Monica, I try not to eat the Atkins items because they are so processed and chemical laden. When I am off plan I have no problem eating junk, but when I am on plan I try to eat cleaner. All things in moderation though, and if they help you avoid something processed and heavy in carbs/calories, then go for it! I should have a few in my freezer in a pinch. At least my head will believe that I am sticking to plan!

Hey Guys!

Nothing very exciting to report. I'm finishing up my last few hours of a 90 hour work week I've done ok, plan wise, just soooooo tired! Hoping I can convince somebody to watch the girls tomorrow so I can get some zzzzzzzz's. Hit my lowest weight since Nov 2011 today. This is about where I usually stall though, so I'm curious to see what happen in the next few days/weeks.

Anybody have any fun plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to take the girls to Lazy 5 Ranch. It's a free range wildlife park and SO fun! This will be the baby's first time and she LOVES animals, so should be a good time.

Well, just wanted to check in and say "hi"

P.S. The Atkins meal was ok, but tasted really chemically to me, so I don't think I'll be trying that again. I wish I had a clone to go grocery shopping and cook for me LOL

Jazlyn~ WB! The new kitchen is gonna be so awesome! Will feel nice to be back to normal, I bet.

Judy~ I need to get the exercise train moving too..I've been very lax about it but something needs to change. Hoping the keto stuff you bought is good. Nothing I hate more is ordering a giant tub of something and having it be ick.

Monica~ Good grief woman, 90 hrs. You sound like my husband LOL I can only imagine just how tired you are! How old are your girls, they sound like they're at fun ages? Enjoy the animals this weekend, that sounds fun! I miss my kids being small enough to actually wanna hang out with me

Hhhmmmm fun things this weekend..... I think we're going to the movies & dinner tonight. It's been a couple weeks since we've gone so I'm kinda excited Altho' I am not feeling that great the last few days Fighting a cold that wants desperately to invade my body Not sure about the rest of the weekend, I'm sure my girls will come up with something!

Have a beautiful weekend, ladies!

Monica congratz on the new low. Your work week sounds even crazier than mine. I'm usually around 68-72 hours a week and generally work 7 days a week.

Danielle hoping you feel better soon... it's the weekend time for fun not being sick!

Dipgal you are always go go going! Have a great weekend.

I think that I will pass on weigh in for this Sunday and next Sunday.....
I purchased a new scale (funny thing it is a WW scale) it is a glass body analysis scale - for bone mass . body fat. body water. BMI....

I knew that the scale at my HC was way off....... but was really surprise how much off.......

so today I weighted 280.9 a far cry from being in the 290's... was way happy when I saw that........

so I think that it would just look weird to put that weight down... so will start fresh when we get to November... if that is ok with everyone....

good news I had weighed 284.8 on Friday when I got the scale... and today 280.9 so I had a good whoosh....... have been eating really clean.... I think I got my mind-set again.... the past two weeks... was not eating all that clean...but now with this scale... it has made me want to work hard... so it is a good thing....

everyone that has lose weight this week....
