Mary--wow, you sure get a lot of walking in. Do you go outside or use a treadmill?

Good Morning Glories!! I'm still at same weight.
Didn't do much yesterday. I am making the bed every day since I put the other comforter set on. That's progress for me.
I'm up before DH. That's very unusual; I'll check on him in a bit. Makes me nervous if I sleep longer than him.

Chewie- Sorry you're down. I do understand though. I have a problem with depression. Hope as the day goes on, you'll feel better. Yay for clothes money!! You've lost so much; you deserve it!!

Mary- Want to hear how the yogurt comes out.

Annett- If I eat sugar free candy I don't lose. I love it but haven't eaten any this go round. Might need it later though. Just have started adding almonds and I'm thinking they may be why I'm not losing now...??? I don't know; I'm eating a lot of cheese too. So love cheese.

Jan, I've struggled with depression for decades now. I am on a daily med but it's not helping a lot now with all my life stress going on.

Hi...I have been lurking for some time now. But I need some help/advice. I have been diagnosed with lymphedema. I really need to get some weight off and hopefully that will help with my edema. Anyone here suffer with this and what type of eating plan will help. I have tried low carb before but now it is time to get serious. You gals all seem so friendly and helpful to one another I'd like to climb aboard and join you all. Thanks!

Hey Everyone

I just wanted to say hi. Deb I'm sorry he is having a hard day. Can you records this for the doctor. I feel so bad. It's been so long. They really need to do something.

to the new person. I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name and this website isn't easy to navigate on this iPod touch. But I wanted to say hi. I don't know anything about what you are diagnosed with but everyone is great here. It's not just about low carb but everyone is real supportive of everything here. So, welcome! I'll look up your diagnosis when I get home to see what exactly it is.

Everyone else, I hope you are having a great day!

Smile! Monday is halfway over!

jillie- I may have lymphedema in my right arm. It has been swollen since before last Christmas. I had an ultrasound that showed no blood clots. I had an MRI of brain and neck which showed no reason for arm swelling. I saw a vascular doc who said it had nothing to do with veins. I also checked with my heart specialist and he said it had nothing to do with my congestive heart failure. So, there you have it. My primary care doc said it could be lymphedema but I have no reasons that normally cause it. I think they have given up on me!
BTW-We are so glad to have you!!

I don't use a treadmill, been walking outdoors on breaks and lunch. And after work, I take the long way to my car and sometimes in the am, I get there a little early, and can get in 15-30 min then too. I do better if I break it into sections. On weekends, DH and I walk and hike in the park and our neighborhood. My watch counts all steps and movement.

Welcome, Jillie. Always nice to have a new voice here.
Deb, have you thought of writing to that TV show that deals with mystery sickness?

I started being treated for a low grade chronic depression in 1996 to. After losing some of the weight, I started getting weaned off the meds. Today, I just take one med in the morning. I have been reading books on the effects of grain and dairy. I have to have my greek yogurt each day. But I don't eat any other dairy. And I don't touch sugars and grains. It definitely helped to jumpstart the weighloss. Cheese is high in sodium and grain also makes me retain fluid, both like an allergic reaction. Anyway I don't miss it.

Yay Everyone!!! Monday is OVER! LOL

My mouth hurts so much from having to talk all day but as a receptionist...it would be very hard to do my job without talking LOL. Its all good. Nothing a little ibuprofen can't make better!!

Hmmm... I hope everyone had a good day! I feel a little hyper or energized today... I'm not sure why. I had no caffeine or sugar. LOL

I just got an email from my Landlord. She wants to come clean the furnace TOMORROW YIKES. My garage is a bit of a mess. I emailed her back to see if she can come over Wednesday instead as I won't be home tomorrow since I work. I just don't feel comfortable letting her in when I'm not home...not sure why ... she is really nice.

My LC didn't go so well today. Breakfast I had my LC Mini Quiches. Then I got to work and realized I forgot to bring my lunch. So at lunch time I got a large unsweetened iced tea and a McDouble. I was so hungry I ate the bun too. I normally would have opted for the $1 salad but I can't chew really so the mcdouble I was able to just take of tiny pieces and chew with my front teeth. Tonight... I haven't a clue what I'm making for dinner yet.

Hmmm. Well. I better get off here to figure out dinner and start straightening out the garage.

See yall in a bit!

Good morning. Rained again overnight but it's moved out. Today is finish painting my master bath and hoping to put it all back together. I have to do a second coat in spots and touch up the ceiling. Dh got me some flat white for that. Luckily, I don't have to do the whole ceiling---that is so hard, just a few spots that dh said he didn't even notice but I do so it has to be done.

Welcome Jillie. This is a great group. Glad you are here. Where are you?

Deb--sorry about Ken. I will keep him in my prayers.

Mary--so good that your dh walks with you. Mine would if he had any time. Sigh.

Annett--things should get better everyday.

Good Morning All

So despite my not-so-perfect LC day my scale shows me weighing a lb less than yesterday. I'll take it! LOL

My face still really hurts but I do notice it slowly getting better. So that's good.

Chewie - Have fun painting. The ceiling might be a little hard but at least you don't have to do thing. I love how a fresh coat of paint makes everything look new again.

Well, I hope everyone has a GREAT Tuesday

I'll check in later....

Thanks for all the great Welcomes. I think this will be a great group to get to know. Still trying to wrap my head around what plan to do....... I want to get started. I really need to lose a lot of weight and I am retaining a lot of fluid. Just plain miserable. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday.

Just got home from work an hour ago. It is the busiest day of the year for us. But I made sure to pack up lunch and dinner and took time to eat it. I love my meals. I also took time to do my walking on breaks and lunch.

The builders are here. The are putting up siding on the house with new windows. They are working fast. It will be strange having a whole new exterior. Then I can work on getting a whole new interior. Step by step. The first thing will be a new kitchen, dining, and living area, more open. New bathroom on the first floor. I expect to live here another 20-25 years until I can't take care of myself any longer. So I want to enjoy it. We were able to refinance the house and pull the money out at a better interest rate. My monthly mortgage payment went down by $100.

Weight is holding steady at 147-148. It is a miracle!

Good morning. I touched up the bathroom and was hoping to finish. Unfortunately, like everything lately in my life, it looks like I'm going to have to paint the whole ceiling now because the white paint really stands out like a sore thumb. I did go to my exercise class though so at least that's a positive thing.

Sorry Chewie that you have to repaint the whole ceiling... but I'm sure it will look really nice when done.

__________________________________________________ _____________

Its going to be a LONG day today. First kids off to school, wait for landlord, off to class. After class I have to kill 2 hours on campus to wait until 4pm for my recheck apt from my dentist visit last week. The dentist is over an hour away from home so there is no point to leave and come back as it just will waste gas.
Then finally I will get back home and I have to do some more homework. YAY.

Anyway - things should go smoothly. I'll try to take my laptop with me and maybe get some homework done on campus if I can find a good spot.

Well, I should get this day going YAY.

I hope everyone has an AWESOME day!

I just got back from a local job fair. I think it took me longer to put my makeup on than I was at the job fair. It was a waste of time. I did stop at a consignment store up that way and found 3 beautiful jackets. I rarely go there and it was just pure luck plus she had 30% off the fall and winter stuff. One jacket is the softest leather jacket ever---and it's red. The second is a wool Pendleton blazer--black and white check, very cute with pants but I'll never wear the pants. I'll wear black slacks or skirt. The last is just a plain black blazer. With the additional discount I got all 3 for $68!!!!!!!!!!!! That's not even the price of one brand new! Woohoo.

Annett--go to the library during your 2 hour wait and do your homework. Kills 2 birds with 1 stone.
