i can't believe it. i used to frequent this board when i was 15 back in 2000. i went from 255 to 190. now after doing low carb/atkins for the last 12 yrs i dont think ive seen the 200s since 2008. im ready. im so ready. i have two crustless bacon mushroom quiches in my oven waiting to come out for my lunch and to the beginning of my low carb journey.

the funny part of all this is that i know my coca cola addiction got me here. i have gone up to 4 cans per day. sometimes 5. i am just so addicted to that fizzy brown cola taste. i always go about 3 days then i go nuts and chug half of one. dear god, i have to do this...i have to do this for my little boy. he needs me. he needs me to be more active. i have to do this. here i go...

Hi Mazzy -- you've done it before so you know you can do it now. Just b e consistently lc and the weight will come off and you will be SO happy as it comes off.

For that it's worth it to give up the soda. I used to be addicted to soda even though a sugary liquid had a very unpleasant side effect for me. I finally quit cold turkey and just started drinking diet soda.....and now I can't tell the difference.

Or maybe switch to koolaid made with stevia or splenda or switch to iced tea.

Good luck and keep posting -- also join a challenge -- that can be very helpful.

I like seltzer water with different flavors of stevia in it. That way I get my fizz and my flavor. I do seltzer on the road and have a soda stream for when I'm at home.

back Mazzy! I know the feeling, believe me. But mine was diet coke. I thought it was water! Another you could try is Zevia. It's sweetened with stevia. I tried their cola version and couldn't drink it, too much like regular and like I said, I was a diet coke drinker...

welcome back.. kicking the soda habit is really hard. I love crystal light, my hubby drinks the green apple and I drink the raspberry lemonade
