Good Morning! I don't know why I'm up so early. LOL. Don't want to weigh till later. We'll see. I'm going to Rome, GA, to visit a friend and have a doctor's appointment. Will be back tomorrow. Taking my pad to hopefully check in.

Drum Roll Please!

After being at a stall for NINE DAYS, I am happy to announce, one pound down. Is today Christmas? Joking aside, these past few days was very frustrating. The funny thing is, because I couldn't move the scale down, I tried to only eat very small meals and it did not work. My body must have rebelled. I know now I must eat three meals daily.

Today for dinner, taco salad. I made Tyler Florence's Beef Stroganoff on Sunday. The whole family ate it even though it was low carb. They all loved it. They had it over rice. My bowl was only four carbs. I am going to also make the Salsa Chicken this week too. I am going to experiment with different recipes from Linda's blog. No more starving myself, IT DOES NOT WORK!

Have a great Tuesday everyone. I'll check back in later. I must admit, these forums really help me.

sammi - great news..... out of your stall... and down one pound...
it just takes time... we all want to lose all our weight in a day but we can not...... so we just have to take it one day at a time.... I also have found out that I have to eat three meals a day... fasting or eating very little just does not work for me....

I had that two week stall, plus I did have some not eating on plan days (because of my birthday celebrations - but that is life... and we will all have days like that... we just need to pick ourselves up and start again.....

I really do think that I have my mind-set in place now..... I may have some off days, but I know that I am in for the long haul..... to drop this weight and get healthy...... to be pro-active with my health.....

went and did 50 min of my WA, but could not weigh myself... their scales were down and yes I am one of those people that just have to weigh myself everyday that I go to my HC..... I need to know if what I ate the day before was good .... so was really disappointed that I could not see my weight sure hope that they get the new battery or whatever was wrong with it...

one thing is that my HC got these new scales about 8 months ago.... it is electronic but they told me that they can not get it to calibrate right... so the weight is really not right.. in fact when I went to my Dr. office early this month... I weighted 10 pounds less - and this was with me dressed in pants and a blouse... while I weigh at HC in a dry swimsuit... but I taking what the scales tell me at my HC - and just hope that I am really 10 pounds less....

Hoping for a good loss after last week.
Sammie.....so glad you stuck with it and it has paid off. No more stall!!!!
Parley.......I am with you. I have to have my meals plus planned snacks. It helps me stick with it. OMG...I have a friend like you that weighs at least once a day!!! Lol
Have a good evening everyone. It's baked chicken here for dinner along with baked okra. Yum

Sammi, congrats to you!

I hate the stall and the feeling that your hard work isn't paying off. th9is is why the non scale victories are so important to pay attention to. The scale might be evil and stagnant, but you as a person are developing in an entirely different way.

Thank you everyone for your comments. It does take time, I can't hurry losing weight. Even though I was in a stall I did notice my arms looked thinner and my neck looked smaller. I can see muscle tone in my legs with all the walking I do. It is quite amazing with all the food I am eating , I am down another pound this morning, now 242. I am going to stay on induction for the whole program. This seems to work for me.

I am looking forward to walking into a store and fitting in the clothes, not having to order everything online.

The key for me is to change up my menu. I am trying new recipes so I don't get bored since this will be a long term process.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

I hit a new low this morning. Nice to be able to note it here as I am not sure who I could tell in the real world. I estimated my rate of loss, and it is about a pound every 10 or so days. Slower that some, but it continues to go down and my clothes get looser. I am losing faster in September than in July when I was in a bit of a stall. I am not sure why, except perhaps that I am finetuning more from knowledge learned while particiating in LCF. I am trying to stick to my priorities (no alcohol, no nuts - mostly successfully), but also trying to work with the NK guidelines of high fat/mod protein/low carb. Fat bombs were a good discovery, but now I eat them rarely and in individual servings. Trying to keep things simple and clean.

bella - that is the way to go..... if we give up... then we will just gain more weight and be less healthy..... so it will be slow and steady..... and if your clothes are getting loose..... that should make you feel good about yourself..... keep it up..... we are all here for ya.....

Congrats to Bella and Sammi!! I'm still waiting to lose my 2 lbs. Hope it happens before end of Sept.
Paw- I have to weigh every day too. We left too early yesterday and I was at my friend's house this morning. First thing when I got home, ran to scale(after bathroom, haha). Looks like I'm at same weight.(a lb. above normal and in the afternoon.)We'll see in the morning.

Same weight is a good thing. All my life I gained. So staying the same means I am not binging or overeating. Eventually, the scale catches up.

Slow and steady is ow I lost my weight.

Thanks Paw and Sue!!
Paw- That WA is intense!! Wow!! You're doing great.
Mom- Talked to my doc yesterday about low carb and kidneys. I am in 3rd stage renal failure and he said as long as I am not eating ALL protein I am fine. The salads and veggies I eat make it OK. In fact, he said losing weight is better for my all around health than if I were not having a lot of protein but staying heavier!

Sammi and Bella, congrats! I am trying to stay positive after 14 days of zero change on the scale.... I do check everyday, not expecting to see a loss all the time or anything, but 14 days is starting to get a little frustrating! I am with you guys on the thought that you want to see something change when you are putting in so much work! Haven't cheated, been working out and feeling good... I am just trying not to get disappointed. Everything went well the first week and I am trying to trust that my body has to be changing thru this, even if the scale is not reflecting that. Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and keeping my fingers crosses that next week will be better!

Good Morning All,

Red rabbit, I know exactly how you feel, I just finished nine days on a stall. I kept at it though and it worked. Just keep it going.

Winifred a life coach sounds very interesting. I'm sure it will be a very positive experience . Keep me posted on your progress.

Have a happy Friday All!

Good Morning! Scale still hasn't moved. Still need .5lb to be 40lbs down.
Winifred- So good to get together with other women of the same faith. Tell us what happens with the life coach. I've never known anyone that used one.

Red- I know it can get frustrating but hang in there. Have you looked closely at your food intake? Keeping a log can identify carb creep sometimes. I have done a day of all protein and no veggies when in a long stall. Not a good thing to do frequently but it can get the scale moving sometimes.

Winifred - wow a life coach - that sounds cool..... lets us know how that works..

red - I know and understand - all our efforts and then nothing to show for it...darn.....

a tad bummed today..... I also went up one pound and I ate clean yesterday... but I did have some things during the evening... a celery stick - one radish and some bacon... sure did not think that it would cause adding a pound.... guess I have to never eat later in the evening...

did one hour of my WA.... but just a tad down.... but I can not let this derail me..... just have to step things up... I have to start my walking tape.. I just keep putting it off.....

so had my eggs, bacon and hot tea for breakfast... will make some tuna salad for lunch with some cheese crackers.... and for dinner

just have to keep the faith and keep trying.... all my weight was not put on in a day... but wouldn't it be nice if it would all away in one day...

Going for our weekend walk in the park with hubby. Then a trip to visit brother in CT. I haven't seen him in over a year.

I planned out my meals for the weekend for backup in case I can't eat What I want. Then I don't think about food. Just focus on my visit with bro and his famiy. Bro is vegan and hos wife's foodplan is unknown as it changes with the wind. Bro is worried about her. She is about 69 now and morbidly obese unless some miracle has occured in the last year. I hope she finds her miracle the way many of us here have. No one likes to see obesity claim another life. We can change that for ourselves one bite at a time.

Have a great weekend.

RedRabbit, I hope you get that drop this weekend! My small losses sometimes are nice enough to show up just when I feel a bit discouraged.

Yesterday someone finally asked me if I had lost some weight, she actually said looks like you've lost about 15 llbs. I tried to minimize it . . . why is that? Afraid that I'll have to claim my diet (this person is a vegan and has observed in the past the low carbers always but the weight back on)? Actually I am feeling confident that I will continue to lose and can continue eating this way without feeling I am missing anything. But I do wonder why I reacted this way.
