Jazllyn...wish I was going to WA with you. A few years back I did it 3x's a week. I love swimming and I miss going. The warm water always felt good on the old joints also!!
Good news on your hubby Mary!! Great on the 2 mile walk!!
Sammi..I know the feeling. This weekend we will be celebrating my sister's 50th anniversary. I have it planned in for a small slice of cake. By having it I won't be thinking and feeling cheated. It seems there is always stuff going on with the weekends!
Kim...your lunch sounds yummy! Good luck with the weight loss this week.
Star...every little bit counts!! WTG. You are small enough the loses won't be huge all at once I doubt.

I tried on fall tops this morning that I couldn't wear last year. Tomorrow I am wearing a new Blouse that I couldn't wear a few months back. Feels good!!!!

Hi all! Went to pick up DD's van; had lift fixed and then got her a new cell as it was past time for an update. Hope she'll be able to use it easily. Lost 1 lb. Thurs. again but have had no scale movement Fri. or today. I'm not upset as I feel lucky with the losses of this week. Going to see my grandson tomorrow. Yay!!
Sue- Happy about your 'new' clothes. I wore a pair of capri pants today that I couldn't wear the last couple of years. Gives us more motivation, huh?

Hi,Mary glad to hear the doctor gave you good news.Sue and OhCloud its good when you can wear something that you saved and couldn't wear.I havenot weighed I usually weigh when I go for my monthly doc visit.Sometimes I feel the digtal scale I have might not weigh the best.But I'm doing okay some days seems like I'm more hungry than others,but its ok.

We had nice weather in NH this weekend and were able to hike in the park both days. The challenge is during the week as I have to be able to walk at least 30 min at lunch in order to be able to meet my daily walking goal for the day. My goal for September is to walk 120 miles and I have walked 65 miles through the first 15 days, so I am on target to get there, just have to keep it up for the next 15 days.

New week, new day, each is a new beginning. Good luck this week!

Fitting into new clothes is the best feeling. Congrats you guys.

I won't be weighing for a while. We are remodeling our kitchen and my husband packed the scales. I'm too stressed to be digging through a bunch of boxes. I don't know how people build entire houses. I would be divorced.

Down 1 of the 1 1/2lbs I gained FOR NO REASON!!! Oh well. Went to visit my precious grandson yesterday so I can't be dragged down this whole week!!
Jazlyn- Ohhhh, girl, I have been through remodeling and I feel your pain! I agree, I would never want to build a house!
Mary- As always, an inspiration to us all!

Hello All,

I only had time for one mile this morning, I'll do one or two more this afternoon. It is so dark and gloomy today.

Sue it must feel wonderful to wear clothes that fit you again. I can't wait to get to that point.

Winifred, I know what you mean about the digital scales. I have two scales. A digital and an expensive doctor office like scale. The digital has me at ten pounds more than the more proffesional type like scale. I always go by the higher number though. My family members say this one seems more accurate with their weights.

Way to go Wendy and OnCloud on your weight losses.

hi everyone.... have been busy.... my birthday was on Saturday.... and I did some celebrating so I am up a few pounds ...also I have been a tad depressed...... my Mama passed six years ago on Sept 10th.... so have been down a bit.... she loved to celebrate birthdays... so kind of sad, but was glad that she did not pass on my birthday... that would of been soooo hard for me....

but back on track now... did 45 min of my WA.... my sister always wants to quit early kind of like it when I go by myself... I work harder... oh well...and eating really clean today... measuring everything .......

hope that everyone is doing well.......

Hi everyone.....got back last night from a scrapbooking weekend. Pretty proud of myself because the food served was definitely NOT LC. There was pizza, homemade lasagna, sub sandwiches and early trick or treat bags for all! Luckily, I knew this ahead of time and brought most of my own food. My 14 yr old got the treat bag. It was not too difficult except for the night they served lasagna. It was 100% from scratch, including the noodles. So was the bread. Ughh... I almost caved.....

Looks like everyone is doing well...those little blips in weight will mean nothing in the long run....

I get to go shopping for more interview clothes this week. I hate clothes shopping

Hi everyone, thanks for the good wishes. I am really tired tonight. I fell asleep at 9 pm and woke up at 2 am then couldn't go back to sleep. Had to get up at 5 am to get ready for work and managed to walk 12,500 steps today on breaks and before work. I thought it would rain at lunch today so I left early and walked the street at the office. Today is day 16 walking over 10k steps a day. One day at a time.

Diana, what does WA stand for? I can't quite figure it out.

Sammi ,I only did a mile today also but it’s a mile farther than I have been going!!

kimmarie you should be proud…not caving in!! Amazing!!

Mary, you are my inspiration….I only did 6000 steps today!!!Went to walk on the elliptical and got shaky!!! It was 4:30 and it made me realize I forgot to eat lunch!!! I NEVER forget to eat!!

Jazlyn, OMG!!! Remodeling is not fun!!! Until it is done, anyway!! We had our main flooring done and our house was out of sorts forever…..2 months or more!!! It was a fiasco!! My husband and I would surely divorce if we built a new home!!! My DD and her DH are in the middle of building one.They now live in the daylight basement and the kitchen and living dining area are done on the main floor! Now that is fun to see them get it done little by little but glad it is them!! They have 2 little girls and live out in the country on a farm,but they are always going!!

Good morning....it is a cloudy, damp and humid day here. Will it ever cool on down???
I stepped on the scale and it showed a 2 pound gain!! I knew by my ring fitting and my ankles that I am retaining water. I bet it has to do with the weather. Oh well....onward and forward!

Maybe if I put us a Fall picture on here it will cool off for some of us!! LOL

Welcome Mazzy. Sue, I love the picture. Well, I just walked two and a half miles so far. I could not do this over a month ago. With every pound lost,my knees feel sooo much better. last year at this time, I could barely walk at all. What a difference.

I love this weather. I have to look for my fall home decorations to put up.

Hi!! Not only am I new to LCF's but this is my first post ever!!
I definitely want to join the Halloween challenge! I had my 3rd son 5 1/2 months ago and I reached my highest weight ever! 307 lbs! I've been going in and off LC and I even tried weight watchers. I was starving all day every day while in it. I finally decided yesterday LC is the way to go. I lost 50 lbs before doing atkins. I need to lose over 100 now.
So my Halloween goal is to be 265 lbs I need support and help any way I can get it! I don't really have support at home and feel super alone in this massive weight loss journey ahead of me. Thanks in advance!!

Hi there,

Been reading thru posts on this site, as well as a few others. Been liking what I have seen here, so finally decided to register. And I want in on the challenge! My goal is to push thru to 130. I had started a lower carb eating plan about 2 years ago and went from 160 to I think 132ish at my lowest. This was the first success I ever had dropping that many pounds (other than years ago on metabolife). I ended up gaining some back and maintaining around 140. Over this summer I started creeping back to 145. Beginning of August I started modify my foods again, but kinda just hung around 140. After reading a lot of info, I decided to go with atkins a week ago sat. Made it to 135.4 as this past sat. and have been hanging there for the last 3 days. So though I have a bigger goal in mind, I am hoping to see the scale under 130 by halloween. Haven't seen that since I was in 5/6th grade.

sue - great Fall photo... today it is cooler... in the low 70's midday... and was in the 60's today at 6:30am.... love it... quite the change from the 90 degree hot and humid we were having...

mazzy - glad to have you aboard.....

sammi - great news on walking 2 1/2 miles.... keep it up

mom - and congrats on your new son......

red - - wow just so many people joining us... that is great... we have a terrific support group here.

mary - again.. just wow on you walking 10,000 steps....

got up at 6:15am and went and did 50 min of my WA.... water felt soooo good.. had a pretty good workout... want to do my walking tape later today.

trying to eat very clean today..... my friends took me out for my birthday luncheon (we have a group of 8 and we do b'day luncheons) and I picked my favorite Italian restaurant... bad I know LOL - but I only do Italian about twice a year) and I did have dessert...... but I did not gain when I got on the scales this morning at my HC... but that is why I worked do hard this morning doing my WA......

so back on track on..... did not have Breakfast.. and at lunch had tuna salad and I made some cheese crackers... was really good.... do not know what to have for dinner... I think I will have to shop for some food today..... really had to shop LOL.....

so again to all our new friends on this thread... again.... and I know with all our support we all CAN do this.... love ya diana

Hello everyone!!! Hope you are all doing well....I'm still at it.....weightloss has slowed down a bit but that's my own fault...I had to go shopping for pants today...I was thrilled to be able to find 3 pair of really cute jeans in Walmart....I have always had to order my clothes from Roamans or Lane Bryant online because I could never find anything to fit me in the stores....and I don't have to settle for something I don't like just because its the only thing that fits!,,

Yay! I was down 2lbs today so I am back at my lowest number so far. I guess it was just fluid after all.

Sammi- You're right. I've noticed how a stall for a few days can lead to a drop. Just hold on girl!

sammi - I do my WA at my health club... I took the WA classes for years - so now I just do it on my own... but once in a while I will do a class... it is great..
