Good Morning all!! I am down .5lb. again today!! Not sure what's going on, but I'll take it.

LiLi- I know how some people feel about the scale. I wish I could stay away from it. I just can't. I don't get real upset when I bounce up but I do look back at what I ate the day before and I'm more careful about what I eat that day. These last few days have been unusual for me as I have been a slow loser. Just looked at your stats and you are killing it girl!!!

Sue- Thank you. He is so precious!! I have missed you and am sorry to hear you haven't been well! Take care.

Paw- You are doing so well!

I have the Biggest Loser Power Walk 15 minute video (with Bob) that I like, and try to do it at work during slow times ---need to make more effort in doing it, rather than thinking about it.

Hi Everyone,

I wish I could walk past my scale without weighing myself, but I can't . I might be obsessed with it.

Still at 249 . I stopped my three mile walks because my knee was pretty sore. Tomorrow I will try again.

Kim are you in New York City? I love that city. So much to do.

Have a great lowcarb day!

I didn't get on a scale for a couple years!! After losing around 30 lbs doing LCD I decided to just live LC and watch the fit of my clothes!! I always hit a plateau at 150 and give up!!! Well my DD lost all of her lbs and I find myself wishing I had her waist!! She looks beautiful!!I am 62 but still want this dream to come true!! I am the only one who can make it happen!!my hubby is starting it also and that helps!
Soo getting on the scale is a must for me!!

Sammi, nope I was in Watkins Glen for vintage grand prix racing. DH's company sponsors a car. I want to visit NYC, but hubby has no interest. May have to go with someone else.

I gained about a pound but I think it is water because I feel like I am losing it today. Been in the bathroom a lot

Made meatza for dinner. Have never done it in all the time I have spent low carbing. Not bad. gonna have to try a cauliflower crust next.

Welcome Starrhae!

Never Forget! Have been praying for the families affected by that awful tragedy!

I am down 1lb. today. Yay!!

paw- I used plain old American cheese and they tasted like the little cheese crackers that I used to love to snack on. Told my DSis about them and she's trying them today. I love the crunch!!

Winifred- Sounds like a good plan. I'm not doing much walking yet either. I am trying to move more and make myself go down the hall to the master bath instead of using the closest one. HaHa. Have you weighed yet? Lost any lbs yet? I'm one of those 'got to get on the scales every day' people. Wish I could wait but it's the first thing I do when I get up.

Sue- I have been losing more lately. I'm afraid to talk about it too much or it may end!! I've lost 35lbs. since May 27th. In Twoterville now! Love it here. I think the only place nicer would be Onederland. Can't wait to go there. Long journey, though.

Today the temp was 91 degrees outside and as humid as could be. I knew if I didn't try, I wouldn't do it. So on break, I walked around the parking lot at work. It is a big lot. At lunch I did an abreviated walk, wore a sun bonney with sunglasses and a fanny pack with water bottles. Then another 10 min walk at the pm break. I finished the day with 11,500.

I tried to give blood this morning at work to the ARC, but I couldn't get enough blood out fast enough. It's the first time in 65 yrs that I had to stop early. Next time I will drink and drink my water. So I went back to my team and receuited 3 new volunteers to take my place to give blood. One was a first time donor. Yeh!

My BP was 104/71. They said that was good. I thought it was low. It might have been because of the headache first thing when I woke up. Anyway, tomorrow is a new day.

oksue- on dropping one pounds... keep up the good work

starr - every little bit you drop helps......

sammi - great job... keep up the great work

oncloud - hope that you are feeling better....

I am feeling better today.... and did one hour and 10 min of my WA..... but stayed the same with my weight was hoping I would drop a pound... and the HC scales do not show ounces... oh well maybe tomorrow.... and this is after not feeling good yesterday I only had soup and my cheese crackers.... but again my B/S numbers was great this morning... so that is a good thing...

and I did drop 16 pounds since august 11th.... for a month that is good.... would like to drop 20 pounds in a month... but I know that I would have to really jump up my exercise to do that.......

Hi everyone, checking in after a long day at work. Still sticking with the food plan. Had a taco salad with no chips for lunch (couldn't finish it) and cheddar broccoli soup (3 carbs a cup) with some ground beef and Italian sausage mixed in for dinner. Sounds weird, but it was good. Drinking water like crazy. Losing weight this week, but I usually do the week before my period (sorry, TMI).

Diana, glad you are feeling better and I bet the scale shows a loss tomorrow.

Oncloud, feel better soon and congrats on the pound lost...

Oksue, that coffee sounds delish! Sometimes just a little LC treat helps me stay on track....

Wendy, your overall weight trend is going down....that's what you need to remember. (I should take my own advice)

Sammi, WTG on the weight loss!

Hi Winnifred! You can do this. My knees aren't feeling too great right now either. I couldn't climb the bleachers at my son's hockey game without help (no railings) and then I had to slide down on my butt to get down because of the pain in my knees. Ugh... but we will both get smaller and our knees will thanks us

Hi Karai!

Mary, 11,000 steps is amazing especially in the recent heat. I need to start wearing a pedometer at work again. I think I actually get in more steps than I realize just running around seeing all of my patients.

Hello to everyone else! We are getting to be quite a large group.

The watch/pedometer/heart rate counter I wear is from Healthy Fit and says Smart Health on the watch face. I have used it for over a year and it is my incentive to keep moving.

Hi Fellow LowCarbers,

Nothing much going on today. It is cooler here now. I love the fall.

Everyone sounds like they are doing so good. I did my walking today and ate clean. The weekends are the hardest for me because everyone wants o go out constantly. It is so hard to say no.

This time next year I hope to be around 130. I made a home made pizza for my family tonight for dinner. I wasn't even tempted to try any of it. I must emit,it is hard at times to cook for others and not being able to enjoy it.

Everyone have a great evening.

Hi all,

I heard on the radio today discussion about the idea of dieting five days a week and enjoying one's self on the weekend as a way to lose weight. The results showed it doesn't work. They said that people who restricted during the week and partied hardy on weekends could consume upwards 10,000 calories in a weekend undoing any good they may have done during the week. It has been my experience too.

We went to see DH's doctors today. He is being released to return to work on Monday. Yeh! They are going to give him a neuro-psychological all day test in a few months to get a baseline on his memory. His mom has dementia and his memory isn't the greatest. So this way the doctors will be able to watch him on an annual basis. It is good to know he doesn't have dementia now at least and that if he does get it, they will catch it early so he can be given the appropriate medicine. Meds today can help to postpone the effects for quite a while.

I thought we wouldn't get our steps in, but when we got back in town, we went to the park and walked a couple miles. While we were at the hospital, we walked from one end of the building to the other a few times and picked up some miles there. It really helps to have walking buddies here. I feel like I am not alone in this.
