Had a great time with DSis today. We got our hair done and then went to lunch. Went shopping after lunch and found some dressy, flashy black flats for $15. Also, some cool sunglasses for $5.99. It was a new store that we heard about at the hair salon.
What have y'all been up to?

we are back

the lady giving the test today said there is definitely some kind of central nervous system problem and the reactions of his tricep indicated a cervical vertebrae problem but she can only send the results to the neurologist SIGH and he doesn't see them again until December UGh

Deb, I don't see why you can call the neurologist doctor in a week or so and ask for an update on the test result and what kind of things you cando to help until the next apppt in Dec. usually, they tell you to call with any questions.

VA lol and there is no set doctor for neurology it is a rotation of civilians that come in and you never get to see the same one twice and yeah that calling thing?/ you NEVER get to talk to anyone even being on the phone for hours

with the backlog we are lucky it will be december i was majorly surprised he got the appointment for the test this fast! oh and get this that resident last time was supposed to order BILATERAL testign both arms and he only ordered right side the actual doc only saw ken for maybe 3 minutes then and the resident was an idiot. i WISH all the docs there were like the one today she was concerned and knew what she was doing and explained every step of the way
i get to go get my baby tomorrow! his classes are canceled tomorrow and he wanted to come home!

Good Morning Glories!!! Scale didn't move. Still need .5lb. Ate breakfast: Broccoli Quiche and coffee. Took sheets off bed and have them washing. DH and I flipped the mattress(long overdue!). Need to go empty dishwasher.

he was snoring when we got there LOL apparently most kids all went home last night and he stayed up until 2 am playing video games by himself! LOL that is late for Steven 10 pm he usually conks out i wish i had known even though it is 2 hours in the other direction we could have tried to go get him last night

stopped at a couple of yard sales on the way home and Ashley had a sort of baby carrier papoose type thing on her registry list she didn't get last weekend and i found the VERY one she had on her list for 50CENTS! (Infantino - Cool Vented Carrier) and it is just dusty from being out at the yard sale but i will wash it anyways! i called her and she was tickled to death! and at another one we got a pink baby bathtub for 4 bucks not as good a bargain but now she has one
TIRED Ken is WORN out but wanted to go with me to get Steven today both guys are napping now and i am cooking supper
hope everyone has had a wonderful Friday the weather is amazing here clear and sunny and 70 degrees!

Hi everyone,

I love your stories. My life is kind dull in comparison. I don't cook a lot during the week. Mostly like the precooked roasted chicken from the grocery, add some veggies and a salad with dressing. My favorite supper is greek yogurt w/ pumpkin, flaxseed meal, sweetener, pp spice, vanilla or other flavoring, mix and freeze, then top w/ soy nuts, tvp and / or roasted edamame, then drizzle walden's sf syrup on top. That is my protein and veg. It is accompanied by a huge salad w/ dressing.

Howdy Mary! it is dull here too a lot LOL i always joke it is lonely but never BORING because there always seems to be some sort of disaster looming! Ken's meals have been limited too lately since it has to be LC and we are broke SIGH i am going to try to make it a little different for him in the next few weeks since the quilt is done and i don't have to dread the baby shower anymore! we don't have another doc appointment (unless i have to take him to ER) until the 18th so we will be mostly staying in not using gas SIGH NORMALLY we would be stringing lights on the house while it is good weather but Ken won't be able to this year we do have those frames made for around the front window so those won't be too hard to put up scaled back this year i guess thought we would have a lot more years before we had to scale back we usually have a major amount of lights going on. his friend that loves to put up lights just got a truck with a cherry picker on it they had talked about it for years and now that Bobby has one Ken can't help him or utilize it here to get in the tops of the tall trees
can you guys believe September is almost over?? the BER months just FLY by

Hello

Just checking in. Wanted to say HI!!

But I'll leave it at that. So many things went wrong - I could write a book.
But in the end we're ok.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I'll write more when things settle down.

HUGS!

OK, my friends know the story of my DD in a motorized wheelchair. My DH and I do everything for her and have forever. Her bio dad sends her $280 a month. Only thing he's ever done. No Christmas presents, birthday, etc. He visits maybe once a year recently for 30min. max. He just told her he was not sending her any more money! If she didn't like it , she could take him to court. He's such a sweetie!! In divorce papers he was to pay her till she married, died, or became self sufficient. He tricked her into signing a paper a few years ago that allowed him to pay her personally and not through the court system. I don't know if we can do anything or not but the agreement was between him and me so not sure if her signature relieves him legally of not paying or not. Now this to deal with. She does need the money with the small disability check she draws and of course was never able to work. ????? STRESS

Thanks Deb! I really am depressed and so is DD. I don't know how we will make it and going to court will be expensive! He has never been there for her but he makes good money and could at least help her financially.

Jan, for this man to be tricking his own daughter like this and putting her in such a bad situation is beyond me. What a jerk! Hope she can take him to court without having to pay for a lawyer and win. Are there any free advocates to people with disabilities who can step in and help?

Deb, enjoy your time with your baby! Looks like you're having fun decorating and spending time together. Hope Ken is doing better.

Jan - thats rediculous! But I know exactly what that feels like.

My ex-husband just announced he quit his job and won't be sending child support. Its bad enough my ex-boyfriend wasn't sending child support for DD6 but now... my ex-husband not for DD12 either? Between that and the 4 hrs/wk of work I had to cut to make college work out... I am losing $600/mo.

That leaves me to figure out how to survive on roughly $900-$1000 with both my kids. Rent is $750 alone. Daycare $150.

I got the student loan (well, will get it any day) so I will be using to pay ahead whatever I can but there won't be any wiggle room. I figured I will be ok for the next 3 months but seriously no extras. No money for clothing or shoes or the upcoming Bday or CHristmas... to tough times ahead. The kids really need a winter jacket and shoes.

Jan your thing says your in Georgia - would she be able to go through legal aid?
I looked and there is a Georgia Legal Aid Website (.org)

I myself am going through a legal aid place here in Oregon to file for sole custody and its $35 for the lawyer.

Eliza - sorry to read you are having tough times too.

I just wish I could wave a magic wand and make everyone's troubles go away.

If any of you have any VERY frugal Christmas ideas....let me know. I won't have much for my kids this year and am planning things out know to do what I can.

to everyone.
