Stacie, hope you feel better soon! Good luck to you ladies who are trying to break through to a new weight level! If you're willing to go hardcore for a few days, people over on the Stillman boards (me included) are having great success. One girl just lost 16pounds in her first week! I started 3 days ago and am down 6 pounds! It's very exciting.

Stacie, maybe some deviled eggs for lunch? Chicken legs cooked in hot wing sauce, with some ranch dressing and raw vegies on the side? Some kind of soup with meat or fish and vegetables? Shrimp cocktail and cottage cheese?

Good Morning!

I hope everyone has a great day! Frustrating morning. I'm back up to 293.2. I went to the gym last night and walked a mile in about 23 minutes -- not bad for me, believe me! I had a real late night, and I have to be at work by 9:30 this a.m., but I just wanted to check in quick and say good morning and that I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

would like to join your group...

My name is Diana and I am back to drop this weight (I hate to use the word lose - for I do not want to find this weight again LOL)

I am a diabetic and Atkins is the best way to drop my blood sugar numbers....

weighed in on Sept 11, 2013 at my highest , but have lost 13 pounds since the 11th....

I do water aerobics - try to do it everyday.... but I want to start my walking tape..... I always drop pounds better if I do some walking.

I did one hour and 15 min. of WA this morning..... and feel so good...

trying to get some good low-carb recipes to use.....

I know with support of y'all and I have two friends that also are trying to drop pounds.... and with them and y'all - know that we can do it......

this is not easy.... but I have to do this for my health.. I have three darling little grandchildren.. and I want to be around for a long time for them....

Good evening ladies, thanks for your words of welcome and encouragment i feel like i belong here with ya'll, like i already know you just by reading you post. I too have lost weight and gained it back (many times) but i'm ready this time and i have realised that the Atkins woe is the life style i will follow for the rest of my life. When i eat sugar i feel so bad and i'm tired of feeling that way. One day at a time, thats my moto! I have dug my heels in, no mater what life throws at me. All of us are in the same boat and i've never had this kind of support before and i know i will succeed this time. I believe God led me to you for your help and i just want to say thank you, we can do this!!!! God Bless you all!

Welcome to the newer members of our club. Tammy -- where in Tennessee do you live? I lived in Johnson City for about 15 years. Only last year I moved back home to my home-state of Pennsylvania.

I'll be the first one to post on the Sunday weigh-in. I'm at a frustrated and angry 293.2. I am deep in ketosis, I feel better, I am moving much more than I did previously, but this stupid weight will not drop. I'm drinking tons of water, have all but given up any type of soda at all, I go to the gym 5 days a week and walk a minimum of a mile (I used to be extremely sedentary - so a mile is good for me) and I am eating practically no carbs a day -- like a max of 10 if even that many. Why won't this scale budge???

Oh well, I'm going to stick with it. I still feel committed and ready to take on the world. I just wish I could see result for all that I am doing

Stacie

Hello To Everyone,

Welcome to all the new friends. I am 252 this morning. Today is a new day! I realized this morning, I do much better when I eat the same things over and over instead of trying new recipes. I will expierment this week to see if I can do any better.
We are going to a rescue to get another dog today. We rescued one two years ago, a Great Pyrenees. He has brought us so much joy. We decided to add another one. I am so excited.
I almost forgot, Jaz, your children are beautiful . I can't wait for grandchildren!
Stacie, I know what you mean about being stuck at the same number. It can get frustrating.

Good morning! I would love to join you on your journey. I have cut back on carbs - but due to finances probably will not get a "fresh-clean" start until Friday (payday). I have beeno n and off low carb for the past 13 years, more off than on. I have a tendency to do really good for a few days then fall back into bad habits. I am at my highest weight ever, about 30 lbs higher than my full term pregancy 13 years ago!!!

Hello Ladies!!!

Sorry for being MIA, but it was a hard weekend for me. (2 Memorial services: my friend's Lisa yesterday and today I watched the video of the memorial service for my husband's aunt).

I wrote a long post yesterday Welcoming all the newbies but before posting it I lost the whole thing. I was so tired and sad, that I decided to go to bed. I was feeling exhausted and drained.

But I'm feeling better today. Need sometime for healing here ... craving a lot of salt.

My weight for today is 243.0

I also saw some great losses in here. Congratulations to each and every one of you!

I'm OK with the chart. I know someone said she knows how to make it on a spread sheet but doesn't know how to post it in here. Sorry, but right now I can't remember who it was.

Thank you all for taking the leadership in here and keep our team growing and moving forward! You are my kind of girls!

Gina, my friend, you are almost in "Onederland" WOOHOO!!! Keep going ...

Stacie, don't be angry at yourself, you're probably building up muscles and when that happens our bodies tend to retain water weight. Hang in there and pretty soon you'll see a huge woosh on that scale ...

Sammi, 252 congratulations! Hey, I'm so proud of you for rescuing those dogies of yours. I've done that in the past and it's a wonderful feeling and a good deed. I knew I liked you!

I wish I had more time to congratulate and reply to each and everyone of you individually, but it's dinner time and I have company. So I better get going in here.

Looking forward to getting to know each one of you better as time goes by!

Keep drinking your water!

Sophie

P.S. Any suggestions for a group name for us for next month! Can you guys believe next Sunday is already September!?! Time is flying by

Hi ladies, I wanted to stop by and let you know that I probably won't be around much after all. I'm going to be helping my daughter move and doing some traveling soon, so my dieting will be interrupted in spots, unfortunately. Will just have to do the best I can.

Best wishes to all of you in your efforts!

Some mornings I feel the overwhelming need to kick my scale. This morning was one of them. I am (somehow?) back to 294.2. Ugggh. I'm beginning to Atkins won't work for me again.

I'm sticking with it a little longer before considering changes.

I did go to the gym this weekend because my knees were very swollen, but I was back at it again this a.m. I walked over 1.25 miles in about 25 minutes. I couldn't walk my normal distance because it is back to school day and I needed to get home and get my kids moving.

So, here's to another excellent day on play to everyone!

Stacie

Hi Ladies,

Great news, I dropped another 2 pounds. I guess it's the stress. 241.0 today. My highest weight for last week was 254.4 lbs.

Callianna, I'm so sorry to see you go. Check back with us from wherever you go. That's the good thing about the Internet. But if you have other reasons to stay away from the Forum, I wish you all the best and whenever you are ready to come back, please look us up, will you!? Have a safe trip. Bye for now

Stacie, don't be upset, my friend. What are you eating? Maybe you are only retaining water. Hope tomorrow you'll have a big woosh!

Diana, your grandchildren are beautiful! Congratulations! I commend you and your sister for going to the Health Club for your WA. Shame on me, I have a swimming pool and I don't use it.

Jazlyn, Congratulations for keeping it those 40 or 50 pounds off. I think that's the hardest part for me. You see, all of us can lose weight, but to keep it off that is the key. You'll have to coach me on that. But this time we will reach out goal weight. Just hang in there and you'll see.

I didn't see our weight chart on Sunday!?! Did I miss it somewhere!?!

Since I didn't see it, I'll post it for now with what I have on the board. Please, make the necessary corrections.

Name - SW ..... 08/23 ..... 09/01 ..... 09/08 ..... 09/15 ..... 09/22 ..... 09/29

Sophie 254.4 ... 243.0
Stacie 293.5 ... 293.4
Diana 312.0 ... 299.0
Sammi 253.0 ... 252.0
Jazlyn 251.2 ... 246.6
Fonda 298.0 ... 298.0
Gina 201.8 ... 200.8
Baglady 277.0 ... 262.0
Burlesml 250.0 ... ????
Raphaela 208.0 ... ????

WOW, when I was typing the chart it really looked nice and everything was straight and perfect and now look at it, it looks awful and all crooked That's why I asked if anyone knew how to make a spread sheet.

Did I miss anyone!?! Well, I decided to start with our highest weight of last week just to be fair with everybody.

Another thing, if I don't hear from a team member for a whole week, their names will be removed from our chart until they get back and recommit to weigh in at least once a week, fair enough!?!

Time to hit the sac! Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Drunk 80 oz of water today. I guess that's a good amount for me, and walked 20 minutes today. How about you!?!

Good night ladies!

Sophie

Hi Sophie,

Thanks for the words of advice, and maybe a little whoosh luck, because FINALLY this a.m. I was back down to 291.2. NOW -- can the 290 hurdle be crossed? Stay tuned. LOL. I'm still holding out for 289, which I have honestly not seen in many many many years.

I do know how to make a spreadsheet -- but I don't know how to post it. I can take what you did and put it in Excel and email it to you if you'd like?

Oh, and huge congratulations to you on your loss -- looks like you are doing super fantastic . I do believe if we all hang in there and continue to support each other that good things will come.

I'm eating very very low carb -- I have been in deep ketosis for well over a week now. Funny thing is yesterday I was literally running from 5:30 am onwards, because I went to the gym at 5:30, came home, got my kids ready for school and took them, came home again and grabbed a quick shower, went to my bank and then drove straight to work -- never had time to get lunch ready or anything. It was just me and my water bottle. Around 3 p.m. (my lunch time) I was absolutely starving, and refusing to break ketosis by getting some junk out of the vending machine. I rummaged around in my purse and found a south beach bar that my niece had given me a few weeks ago. I debated eating it, because it had 13 net carbs in it. I decided to eat half of it. Turns out, it tasted amazing, and I ended up eating the whole thing. I also had about 4 ounces of orange juice yesterday, and 2 fairly big salads for dinner with a cup of broccoli and cauliflower mix, and a seared piece of salmon. Between the OJ, the South Beach bar, the ranch dressing on my salad, and all the veggies I just knew I would be out of ketosis today -- but surprise, I am not -- and the weight dropped. Makes me think maybe I'm not getting enough carbs with my numbers around 5 grams a day or so ...

Anyway -- normally I eat much better than that -- and usually I don't put dressing on my salads (I don't like them mushy-ish when I eat them at work), but my carbs are always lower.

Anyway -- I hope everyone here has a fantastic day. For the first time in a week, I am starting the day with a smile instead of the desire to smash my scale.

Stacie

I meant to address everyone in one email, but ended up being a long one, so I thought I would do two separate posts.

Diana, thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I used Atkins many years ago and dropped around 65 pounds and it worked fantastically for me then, but this time around, it seems like maybe not quiet so much. I'm not changing anything yet -- I'm just wondering now that I'm older do I have to add in a calorie counting aspect to my Atkins plan.

I'll be looking forward to seeing if you budge off 299 this a.m. - seems like days I change things up are when the scale moves a little.

For what it's worth, Jazlyn, even though it's not 151 -- I'd kill for 251. Hang in there -- you are doing great!

Time to get the 2 tons of paperwork my kids brought home from school completed. Talk to you all later!

Stacie

Sophia - wow WTG you dropped 2 pounds... proud of ya..... yes, I love my WA... and would love to have my own pool... and yes, I adore my three grandbabies... but they are in Michigan and I am in SC... but I go there once or twice a year... and we Skype a lot......

Stacie - again, sweetie - please keep trying... I know it is so hard when that darn scale will not move... I did measure myself the other day.... and will measure again in a month and see if I have lose inches.....maybe you are losing inches..... and then as we age we do not lose as fast....

just got back from doing my WA.... had a good workout..... did not go yesterday.. the pool was closed and I should of done my walking tape, but did not... I have to start that walking everyday... because I know I can lose faster if I up my exercise.....
