Good morning ladies!! It looks like everyone is doing well with this challenge I'm still 2 lbs away from my goal for this one...I have been losing and gaining the same 5-6 lbs all month This cold is almost gone so that's a good thing I have a wedding to go to today and I'm expecting that it will be a very carb laden meal served at the reception.

I have been doing so terrible. I've gained like 5 lbs. It's so depressing. I hate grocery shopping so I run out of LC stuff to eat. I HAVE to get myself to the store more often. My WH is willing to do it but he buys a bunch of crap in addition to my LC stuff so when I run out, there is the junk food staring me in the face.

I hear you Jazlyn, I really don't like having a lot of unedible (by me!) stuff in the frig/cupboards. My DH is getting better (not sure why). He eats way to may bananas but I am never tempted. When my grown children visit, it's worse as one is a vegan and the other a vegetarian.

But . . . your best defense is still going to be to shop, so marshall your power/energy and go to it!

Good morning everyone! Well I reached my goal this morning for this challenge...269.4 on the scale! YES!! This is a huge milestone for me....I haven't been in these numbers for 25 yrs!! I think when I got pregnant with my son I was close to 250lbs...he will be 25 in April

Yeah, the junk food...can sure get you. I still buy junk for my family. That 'sounds' terrible...I buy junk for my family. . Well, if you look at the ingredients and sugar/carb content...yep, it's junk. Hey, they love to eat that stuff. But, since being on the LC WOE, I have been able to reduce the amount of stuff that comes into the house tho'. So, that redeems me, right? .

Anyway, the junkie stuff calls me, "Karai, come eat us. You know that you want just a taste. A little bite won't hurt. Eat us!" I am not even hungry when I hear these calls. You know, I think it's a bad habit that tries to resurface and get me to give in.

I have officially met my challenge of losing 20 lbs by August 31!!!. I even loss an additional 0.6 lbs over! hehehe Congrats to us LOSERS!!! C'mon everyone we can do this! Stay strong and motivated. There is still time to meet the challenge.

I know I'm having more salt than usual in all this fresh seafood. I am doing a lot of marching and arm exercises in the pool each night. Wish I had a pool at home!!

Hi everyone, I have been on vacation and will be returning home today. We were visiting the White Mountains and I was ake to take the Cog Railway to the top of Mt Washington, tackling two fears, heights and open spaces. I still have a long way to go but am not afraid of taking the Cog again. This was first designed and built in the 1860's opening to the public in 1869. The invention was next built on Pike's Peak in Colorado.

I have been averaging 10,000 steps a day in August. There are still 2 days to go this month so will be walking some more but this has been one of my goals.

Another goal was to maintain my weight in the 148-152 lb range. I will officially weigh in Sunday morning Sept 1st but I am pretty confident I have been successful. We don't have any scales here away from home.

Normally, we start a new challenge every 8 weeks or so. I will try to post more regularly now that I will be back.

Hello to all thise I haven't met before. I first started on this atkinsFriends page in 2001 weighing 376 lbs that year. Moving up the ladder and adding back foods as time went on was a challenge. I had to eventually weigh portions because I ate too much of some things and not enough of others. I only stayed on Induction 2 weeks because I like my veggies. Since it wasn't a race but a lifelong event it didn't matter if I lost 1 lb or 5 lbs, it was better than before when the scale only went up. In the process I learned there are certain foods I just plain don't tolerate at all and even today don't eat them. Some make me have stomach pains and gas and others set off an addictive response. Today I abstain from eating sugars, grains, starches and alcohol. The only beans and legumes I eat are soybeans in all its many forms. I do eat some seeds and the only dairy is Greek yogurt which I learned to make here before they sold it premade. Other than that I eat eggs, meat, fish, poultry, veggies (cooked & raw), fruit every morning, fats include butter, oil, dressings and mayo. I average about 1 lb a week the first year and 1/2 lb a week years 2-3, then 1-1/2 lbs a week in year 4 when I got the portions down pat, then 1 lb a week in the last year.

Today I feel like a different person. I am very grateful for all those I met during my journey. We supported each other and I couldn't have made it through the first two years without them. I asked lots of questions. There is never a bad question.

I would love to join you on the Halloween challenge. Right now I am 252. This is the lowest I have been in years. Mary your story is so inspirational . It gives me hope that it can be done. I am trying very hard to stay cheat free and I hope the scale number always goes down. Nice to meet you all.

Great having you back Mary. I am in for a Halloween challenge. Sounds just about right to me.

I am losing just under a pound a week. Not stupendous but I am happy to maintain that loss. I stayed on plan except for a couple of times during my second week of intensive travel in a field course. I also drank alcohol, breaking my prime directive . . . . but I didn't keep on and haven't since. I haven't exercised as much as I would have liked, but I am not sendentary by any means. So all and all I am ready to set some goals for the next two months.
