Frankie- So happy about your visit with your Mom. I prayed for you on that Friday. CO is a good fat and is supposed to rev up metabolism. Thought I would give it a try!

Michele- You're right. No more worries in that dept. but sure would be painful! LOL

I have been doing terribly. It started when I went camping last weekend. Once I mess up it seems like I can't get back into my groove. Oh well. Today is a new day.

Jazlyn- I look at my no so great food choices as being human. I have really been working on letting go of beating myself up for them and understanding that freaking out about mistakes and focusing on them only gives fuel to the fire of feeling worthless and weak willed and that only makes me want more bad foods. I try to remember that it is in the past and there is nothing I can do to change it but I can move on and learn from it.

My thin friends will go out and eat really bad, high calories, fat, sugary food but then get right back to their normal eating the next meal like nothing happened. I am trying to learn how that happens in "normal" people, hoping one day my brain will get it. Until then I am dealing with just today and that is a lot easier to do. I am able to focus on what I am doing and feeling right now and that in itself makes making good food choices easier.

WTG Michele!

I am down some. I think something is wrong with my scale. I got 3 different weights. I'm claiming the highest one. I need to get to the gym and weigh.

Frankie--thank you so much for the encouragement--it is rough being overweight as a nurse. Even though I'm quite heavy, I am quiet flexible which has helped me tremendously but it does physically hurt to do all the things I have to do--especially after work--my whole body just aches. Also good advice for Jazlyn. In the past --all it really took was one bad day to throw me off track, so I understand how she feels. It is a struggle.

Jazlyn--I think all scales share that problem. I like to weigh myself at work--they are medical scales for heart surgery patients--accurate weight for them is essential--due to fluid accumulation in heart patients. My home scales stay pretty close, but the home scales do tend to vary.

Michele--that is wonderful you took the back off--we all knew you would!!!! You are awesome!!!!!

Well, starting my low carbs on Saturday. Shopping tomorrow--so I have planned to succeed. I hope everyone has a lovely night. --Oh my wedding anniversary is tomorrow, well today since it is after midnight.:clap : Goodnight!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Was at Walmart today and saw they had marked down alot of their Summer clothes, so I decided to buy some jeans in sizes 24 and 26 figuring I could be in the 26's by Christmas.....Nope! They fit now!!! I was so excited....I haven't wore zip up jeans since before my son was born 24 yrs ago!!! So now I will be working towards the 24's by Christmas then...I can get them on and zipped up but too tight for my comfort...I see women wearing pants that are too tight and their fat roll hangs over the waistband...that looks aweful if you ask me!!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Jossy: great feeling isn't it

Jaz: Every little bit adds up! Great job!

Love: How is your first day of low carbing going? Happy Anniversary!

Jan: You are melting away!!

Checking in... My weight has been jumping around on the scale and I am nowhere near my goal of 10 lbs gone by the end of the summer.

On the other hand, I'm down a size, face is slimming and I see the way my body is being reshaped.

Hopefully the scale will catch up soon.

Lisa, that is a great feeling. Congratulations!

I am up a little over a pound. Up and down. It drives me crazy. At least my downs are a little more than my ups so slowly but surely.

We went camping again this weekend. Due to poor planning on my part (It was a last minute thing) I didn't do well.

I also didn't go swimming this morning. I usually HAVE to go because I go with my mom and aunt. Neither one of them could go today. I'm going to have to miss Wed. because I'm watching my granddaughter. I need to get to the gym today since I missed swimming. Why do I keep trying to talk myself out of it?

How is everyone doing??? Holding my own here! I can't wait to get into the next set of numbers ....I remember being close to 250 lbs when I got pregnant with my son ...he is 24 now .....I was about where I am now when I lost 80 lbs my first time doing Atkins in 2004-2005. ....So anything under 270 is almost virgin territory for me

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!!

Good morning

Michele, pretty soon the 270's will be a distant memory.

I ate pizza last night. I have no LC food in the house except cheese and eggs. I have got to make myself go shopping. Anywho. my daughter brought home pizza so cheese and eggs just didn't sound good. lol It does this morning though.

Yeah, Jazlyn I need to do some restocking too. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to it until this weekend. DH and the boys are living off of batches that I froze from a couple of weeks ago. So, I am not hearing complaints yet...that is yet.

Well, I am down 1.9 lbs this week.

Happy Friday,

Good loss Karai!! I'm down my 3 plus 1/2 lbs from last weekend. Hate it when I never go off plan and still gain. Even water weight takes about 3 or 4 days to get gone!! Grrrr

Why don't I post when I need it most? I have been doing terribly. I am going to Nevada to a concert tonight and maybe a little gambling. My husband will want his usual car full of snacks since it's a 3 1/2 hour drive. I am going to get some beef jerkey and do the best I can.

I have returned from a two week field trip with students, most of whom are 40 years younger that me! I managed somehow not to gain weight, but eating was a challenge despite lots of planning. Although I see no scale weight, psychologically I feel a bit off my game. I returned exhausted, but after two nights sleep I feel ready to focus again. I've got to remember what my goals are . . . . lol.

Jazlyn- Almonds in a zip bag, a few pork skins in a zip bag(otherwise I'd eat the whole bag), cheese sticks if you have a small cooler. Put some waters in cooler too. Have fun!!

Hey Jan, thanks! Congrats on the weight loss too! Yeah, don't you just hate that extra water weight...another Grrrrrrrrrrr! Since I've been drinking about a gallon of water +herbal teas, I don't have as much an issue with water retention like I used to. I just spend alot of time in the loo tho'.

I can't drink as much water as I would like due to kidney probs. Have to try to keep even amounts of input and output. Can really be trying!!! Down another 1/2 lb. yesterday. Same today.

I have been struggling for the past 5 days....It started with a horrible sore throat last Thursday night which evolved into a nasty cold and topped it all off with TOM Sunday night!!! Ugh! I'm up 7 lbs and feel like crap! let tomorrow be a better day! On the bright side TOM should leave tomorrow along with some water weight as I just took a water pill

How is everyone else doing??? It seems this thread just kind of died off

I think a lot of people are getting end of the summer colds which are no fun especially when trying to lose weight.

I started losing weight again. The scale is my friend this week now that I upped my water intake again. I don't know why I was slacking on the water, but I'm back to eight insulated cups a day and it's been great.

Down two pounds today . . . it has been a long long time coming.
I will bounce up again for sure, but I am keep my eye on the prize. If I stay on plan, I'll find another low, but may have to wait until September for that. I am a slow loser.
It's so much easier not traveling anymore. I am back to my top priority of not drinking alcohol after a slip two weeks ago. I am glad I have been spared renewed cravings.

Be strong everyone!
