Hey all..

Busy morning. My laptop is down and system restore isnt working. Ran it 3 times. It just keeps telling me my wireless hardware doesn't exist and that all my antivirus stuff is down....prob some sort of virus. I've been doing a lot of cleaning while the restore thing is running so that's good. I really don't want to completely reset to manufacturer settings...I don't want to loose my pics & docs but I may have to.

I found another pedometer I had forgotten about. This is the weight watchers pedometer I used way back when I tried weight watchers. Its digital and I even had a new battery for it but it seems inaccurate. I walked 5 steps and picked up some things and it says I walked 61 steps? I may have to play with the settings.

Well I started one more system restore..it will take about an hour so I am going to clean some more. I'll put my nook on the charger too.

Catch you all later.

....Annett. ..........

Well hey! I just cleaned my fridge too! I was going in to make lunch and saw something spilled in the door...took out all things in the door sprayed it down with the dawn/vinegar solution....shut the door and made lunch. Now that's cooking so I went back and wiped down the door. There was one thing that needed to soak more so that soaking now. Lol. Meanwhile reloaded my dishwasher...I made dishwasher detergent yesterday..works good so I'm not going to buy that anymore yay. More $ saved.
Now I'm sitting down for a few minutes drinking water and reading theboards while hoping my blue laptop screen will soon go away.

6000 steps!? That's awesome!!!! Keep it up!!!!

The boards are a little weird on my nook so I'm not always seeing what's posted right away.

Well back to the fridge....and to check on lunch.

Oh and yay....I have had NO soda...not even diet dr pepper..my fav in 10 days now...didn't have money to buy it so I guess that's one way of breaking that habit! Lol.

Sys restore didn't work but I got my pics & docs on a flash drive...so I'm gonna do a total reset to manufacturer settings....it will take a few hours...hopefully it will work then...

.....annett.

everyone! Looks like alot of us are doing the same thing today...cleaning, laundry, cooking and stepping I usually average about 6000 steps a day just with work and daily routine..Yesterday DH and I went Geocaching and hiked a 3 mile trail around a lake...that was just over 8000 steps...I ended my day with 11,000...I will be lucky to get in 5000 today just putting around the house.

Have a wonderful day ladies!

Annett- You can make your own laundry detergent too. I used to make it a lot when kids were home. I use coupons now that it's just me and DH.

Jan.... yes I know. I have been making my own laundry soap for over a year now.... I am almost out though...so I'm going to have to plan to buy another bar of pink zote....but I think it was just a couple dollars so I should be able to get it in payday. Have you ever tried bar soap for that? I have several types of bar soap but I heard some don't work so well.

Michelle..... I saw your note about geocashing... my 12yo wants to do that but I am nervous about it because I feel weird looking for something ...what if someones watching us that doesn't know about it? I think I read that when we find a geocache were supposed to log it and either replace the item w something or return the same thing back to its place.... is that right?

Well I'll be back....going toclean a bt more while my computer is still restoring....

See ya in a bit.

Oopsie, sorry, I forgot to answer that one....If it's cured bacon or Canadian bacon, I don't. But sausage, yes, because 10-15 min in the oven will not cook it through. I like to saute' onion/mushrooms/sausage, then put that on the bottom of each cup, then either crack the egg on top of it, or, if I'm scrambling the eggs with cream or sour cream, pour the mix on top.

Annette: Use stealth! LOL.....A geocache is usually some type of container that holds a log to enter your find and/or small trinkets that can really be anything kid friendly of course. We like to find the ones that are out where there arent many people if any...I know what you mean ...I dont like people looking at us like we are up to no good! Yes the rules are...if you take something out of the cache you should replace it with something else ...Its great fun and exercise!

I have never heard of geocache but it sounds interesting.
Annett- You've turned into a cleaning machine.
chewie- Colorful slaw! Yum. Wish my fridge was clean!
Eliza- Thanks so much! I can't wait to try these.

LOL Stealth... How am I at 310 going to be stealthy... is stealthy a word??? LOL
Tippy-toe-ing around....check behind me...check next to me...anyone there?? Ah HA! There it is LOL

Jan- I've heard of Fels Naphta too. What does it smell like? I like the pink zote because it smells slightly lemony. But I have tons of olay and other soaps I couponed for I wonder if one of them would work??? I think I read somewhere that moisturizing bars don't work (like Dove) but I think I have several others. I'll have to go through my drawer and look.

Deb - I hope the appts goes as well as they can

Anyway... yes, today and yesterday cleaning seemed to help me think. Yes I was thinking about him, me and the girls but its like it turned from this terrible anxiety thing to almost theraputic. I have a long way to go before my home is back to normal but it sure is getting there. I'm not panicking anymore like I was before and I think it helps that most of his belongings have been either thrown away, donated or are sitting in a box in the corner of the garage. I'm ok. I know I still will have my up and down days - losing someone I love to someone else is hard - but in the end the following is true: What doesn't kill us makes us stronger...
I truely believe that. And now instead of worrying about him and his no car, no money situation - I can take care of me...his problems are no longer mine. I was even going to do my nails tonight. I haven't done that in years... I hope my nail polish is still good. Just going to use clear but they will look nice.

I did come across some more mens deodorant i had stored away but it didn't upset me (YAY) I was ok. I put it in a box with some other things I specifically got for him and I will take that to work tomorrow ...someone will snatch these up

Well my laptop is up and running again. Took almost ALL DAY! But its back! And now its just doing like 100+ pesky Windows8 updates. So I am going to take Abby to the park and I'll be back a little later on.

Catch y'all in a bit.... I have NO idea what to make for dinner yet.... hmmmmmm

>>Annett

Copying this from the 10,000 step thread:

Done! 10,000+ today.

Weekly stats:
I exceeded my goal of 70,000 steps for the week (walked a total of 72,708 steps and 31.3 miles this week). I averaged 10,451 steps per day.

And, most importantly, I walked every day of the week and kept active. I can hardly believe it that I have accomplished something fitness-wise this summer instead of just lounging about in front of the TV. I walked every day for the past 20 days.

Eliza- I know that is such a big accomplishment! You have the right to be very proud. I'm not very proud of myself today. I only walked about 2000 steps. We slept late and have had a lazy day.
We go pick up DD's van and take it to get the lift repaired tomorrow. Praying it won't be terribly expensive.

Good morning.

Annett--I use Ivory when I make my laundry soap. It's cheap and works great. I heard you're not supposed to use moisturizing soap. Good job on cleaning and resetting your computer.

Eliza--you go girl. I'm so proud of you. I charged my fitbit the other day and haven't put it back on. TOM arrived and I was in the pool for hours----can't wear it there. lol I really need to start a dedicated walking routine. I copied and sent myself an em with your info from that thread---about moving and sitting. Going to read it today.

Deb--praying for good appointments and a good few days for your family.

Jan--hope the van is a cheap, easy fix.

Michele--wow, that's a lot of steps. Geocaching sounds like fun.

Good Morning Glories! I was down 1/2 the lb. I gained yesterday!LOL Stayed up late playing games on FB.

chewie and Eliza- Hoping it's a short in wiring or the switch itself. We had to replace the cylinder 2 years ago and the part was $500!! If it's that, we can order one and DH can install it. Bleh! Yuck! So tired (and she is too) of the van. We bought it new 1995, full size conversion van for $32,000 and had $7000 lift installed. They're $55,000 now mini van with pull out ramp!! Lifts, ramps, etc. are considered luxuries and no insurance, medicare or medicaid pays anything on them. It's a luxury to be able to go to the store or visit someone, right??!!

I'll let you know what I hear today. Pray it's not too much, please. It's about broke us the last couple months.

Good morning!
It looks like it was a cleaning kind of weekend for a lot of us. I spent most of Saturday cleaning out closets, drawers, dressers, etc. I cannot believe how much stuff I took out of my house. What a great feeling! I can now move in my closet and I can see what I have.

I hope everyone has a great day. Happy Monday!
