I don't know Deb -- the meat itself is fine -- Jessie tried a bite and said it was delicious. Must just be a food thing with me. I am going to buy a jar of spicy giardinara and will make Hot Italian Beef sandwiches for Jess -- they are one of her favorites.

Dinner was delicious -- I grilled two frozen burger patties and topped them with shredded romaine and pickles. I made a "Big Mac" type sauce with mayo, reduced-sugar ketchup and mustard. It really hit the spot and very filling.

I've got my lunch made for tomorrow -- one of my favorite lunches -- romaine salad topped with grilled chicken, baby cucumber, red bell pepper and shredded parm cheese. I will have it with Olive Garden salad dressing. Yum!!

I have to stop at the grocery store after work tomorrow to pick up ground beef for the taco meat on the 4th. I'm going to pick up a zucchini and make zoodles tomorrow night with sautéed shrimp. It's just me for dinner since Andy will pick up Jess to head downtown for the concert. She won't eat shrimp so it's a perfect night for me to make it.

I had a surprise visitor today at work -- Andy and Hailey came. He'd brought Hailey to Melissa's work to surprise her and then decided to surprise me. She of course was a little star. My coworkers didn't want her to leave -- she brought smiles to our otherwise stressful day.

How's everyone else's day been?

Yay!! Scale finally moved! A whole pound! Going to get a haircut and perm today. So glad. You know that awful hair when it starts falling flat and making your head hurt. I actually get headaches when my hair is too long on top.

Beara- It's killing me that you live in a tourist town. I love the beach soooo much. Is there a beach? If not, I'll be OK. LOL

Kim- I need some of your menu ideas. Everything sounds so good!

Hi chewie! How's it going?

Sue- Down 2 lbs.!! Wow! Yay!

Hey, I'm a granny ( MawMaw ) too, remember! As of April 4th. Grandson.

Hi Deb. I just love all your pics. Maybe with these new people we won't be such lonely ducks in here.

B- 2 egg omelet/ onions,bell pepper, 1/4 c. cheese, 3 sl. bacon
L- 2.5 oz. tuna pouch, cucumber
D. 4 oz. lean hamburger steak, Romaine lettuce
S- Dobie Muffin

LOL while i was out i went by mommies old house and got some dr suess books and some golden books Molly has her first shelf of books at NANAs house already (she isn't due to arrive until nov 5th )

I skipped making the zoodles for dinner. Instead I just had garlic butter shrimp. They were very good but I'm a little annoyed with Sams Club. I bought a bag of their frozen jumbo shrimp -- the bag says cleaned and deveined. They were NOT deveined. I thawed them and then had to devein them. Dinner was delicious.

I just finished preparing the taco meat for the 4th -- 8 lbs of extra lean ground beef and 4 cups of medium salsa -- simmered until for an hour. My crockpot is full -- it's cooling now and put it in my garage fridge.

Hi Folks. Nothing new. Just kind of drifting along here. I have to go for a long drive today to deliver some bathing suits that I'm donating to some homeless kids so they can go swimming tomorrow on the fourth of July. I belong to a group on fb that posts needs and we try to help. I just wish I didn't have to drive so far but oh well, the kids deserve a fun day too.
