Good morning. TGIF. Dh starts vacation tomorrow and oh boy, does he ever need it. Today will make 74 hours worked his week. It is a record, except when we owned 6 Subway stores but we didn't really count hours then cause we were the owners.

TGIF This has been one long week for me. I think it's the pms week even though I haven't had tom in months. And so hot but most of you know about that.

Eliza--congrats on the walking. KUTGW

Sue and Linda--good job on staying on plan.

Chris---congrats. I can't remember if I said that. Glad you persevered.

Deb--stupid electric company. You sure don't need anymore stress right now. Glad Ken is going to see a psych---maybe that will be a great beginning. Praying

Welcome to our newbies. Yahoo!!! Love new people.

Made 3 pans of wings last night but only 2 sauces: one was garlic parmesan and the other was Asian sticky wings. YUM, both recipes are keepers for sure. The best part is there are a lot left.

Linda.....my sister may have to have the injection also. It sounds horrible. Of course I know they deaden the area. She is having bleeding also.

Deb, I hope you can speak to someone who has English as their first language. They were threatening to shut off our internet at the office and I called and told them it cleared our bank on such and such a day. After about 20 calls, they asked what "cleared the bank" meant. I told them that meant they had deposited the check. They wanted to know where it was now.

Good Morning.

baconista and Marilyn.

fluffrnutter...I hope I spelled that right. Ya the thing is he was great with the kids when he was in our lives. Its ok we will get through that too. Have you ever heard of Combat Arms? Its an online game he and I used to play together. Somewhere along the way he picked up the nickname donkey....I guess it fits him more than ever since he is being such an ass. Lol

-----------------------------------

Yes! Its Friday...my day off. I told myself that I have to clean one room today....start to finish...no breaking down in tears allowed!!!!!! He is gone, my kids deserve a kick ass mom and a clean house and I CAN do this. I am trying to really psych myself up and I am going to put on music.

I am a little frustrated...my scale said 308 on Monday which was awesome but today it said 314 and I am not sure what I did wrong. I have been drinking more water with the heat and all...but can that really make a 6 lb difference?

Well I am going to go make some breakfast and get my day going. .
I will be back later......

......Annett

hi annett, i just googled "how much does a gallon of water weigh?" one gallon of water weighs approx. 8.35 pounds so taking into account numerous factors like the heat, the humidity, amount of water we drink, our individual bodies etc etc i think it's possible that it could be water weight. hth

Jan--my honey do list is going to be RELAX and enjoy. He has his own list of stuff that is probably a lot longer than one I would make for him. lol

His older brother is coming to visit on Sunday from N.J.--luckily only staying till Tuesday so easy peasy---I guess. We're having our normal Sunday family dinner and he'll be here so that's good. I think Monday night dh will go out with his brother and then take him to the airport on Tuesday already. He stays in a hotel cause he is super neurotic. I won't say anymore except I have never like him, glad he's not staying with us.

Annett--when we are stressed more than usual, as you are now, our bodies make cortisol and that is bad. It will hold weight so just keep doing the lc thing and you'll be fine. Also, you need to get sleep too. Push the water and those pounds will float away.

Ok, I ordered the Fitbit one because the big A store lowered the price to only $76. Maybe it will help motivate me to exercise. I can hope, right? lol

Good morning!

Annett, I'm thinking the stress you've been under may have something to do with it. Cortisol is probably the culprit.

Well, my kick butt plan is working so far.....9.8 lbs in 2 weeks strictly on plan. It's all old weight still, though. I'm currently at 308.8. Loooong way to go. There is no doubt in my mind that the exercise/movement program is the secret ingredient this time, and also recording my food intake and keeping an eye on calories/carbs/fat ratios.

Chews, lol, I didn't read your post before I replied to Annett, but it seems that great minds think alike....it's the cortisol!

Chews, congrats on the new FitBit! I think it will motivate you. If you count the steps, you can do a tiny bit several times a day, and before you know it, your goal will be reached. Wear it during housework, errands, etc., and as skinny as you are, it will be easy peasy. Plus, I remember from a pic you posted, you have beautiful surroundings outside, begging for a walk....

I made a walking thread on the exercise board if you wanna check it out.

Ms. Jan, how are you doing this morning? I haven't known you long, but you always seem to be in positive, sunny spirits.

Fluff, congrats on picking the good stuff at the Mexican restaurant.

Hello all.

Just checking in to give a progress report of my cleaning, hoping it will keep me motivated.
I am almost half way done with my bedroom. I chose my bedroom because I need to focus on me and what's the point if my bedroom is a disaster area?
I did come across a couple of his things and I just don't have it in me to throw way his stuff, so I had my 12 yo make a box in the garage for his things. Everytime I found something that was his I started to get shakey...so I had her wisk it away and I talked myself down saying it will be ok. I am still in my bedroom. I am not leaving until its done...otherwise I won't finish.

Chewie...let me know his that fitbit works....sure looks interesting.

Well, my 12 yo just brought me my lunch. I am going to eat and get back to it. goal for today: get my bedroom done...I may even take a pic just so I have a reminder to remind me that I can do this when I tackle the next room tomorrow.

Well I will be back later...

It's almost worse being the one watching. He never feels a thing. I cringe - try to look away - and yet - I see the needle, etc - he doesn't. He's got a great retina specialist.

Hello to all. All a great FRIDAY!!!!!
Kudos on the 2 cookies. You did good! You know - we won't always be good - so the trick to this is learning portion control. I need to remind myself of this daily. To be satisfied with 'some' and not 'all'..........and so it continues.

yeah here it is local people LOL they don't even have an option for online or any other form of payment you take it into the office or mail it there are only 3 office workers and i know Mary pretty well
she said she would take care of it but i can't help but worry
same for the cable company even though they provide internet they don't have any internet payment options either
but yeah all the outsourcing of jobs has GOT to stop they need to impose fines on companies that sent the most of their jobs overseas
