My day was pretty good considering everything.
I stepped on my scale this morning... I am officially down a total of 44lbs now WOOO HOOOO. I'll be all hot n sexy before I know it and my ex can eat his heart out!

My goal is to be down a total of 100 lbs by the time my birthday comes. I've been averaging 10lbs/mo so towards end of Dec I should reach my goal.
My reward (provided I get things cleaned up financially) will be a few days in Leavenworth, WA for the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. I LOVE THAT TOWN. I grew up in Germany so I really enjoy the German/Bavarian influences and FOOD. LOL... I won't go too crazy but I will have some things I usually do not for part of my reward.

Well I better go make dinner.
I hope ya'll had a FANTASTIC day!!!!!!

Yes, thanks for the info Chris!!
Deb....way back in the 70's we didn't have anything but the cloth diaper to use. They are hard work which these kids today are not used to. I have seen the capes on Pintrest. I thought about making one but he already has a couple so I backed away from it for now.Sounds as if you had a fun time while out today. Have you ever applied at Wal Mart?

I am fixing another new recipe for dinner tonight. You take olive oil and mix lemon juice and it calls for salt and pepper but I used the pepper lemon instead. Mix it and line the bottom of the dish with sliced lemons. Dip green beans in the mixture and lay on top of the lemons. Next you take red potatoes and dip them and lay on top of the green beans. I only used 2 small potatoes. In fact I bet you could use cauliflower instead. You then dip the chicken and lay on top. You roast it at 4oo* for 50 minutes, take the chicken off and let it cook another 15 minutes. I'm hoping it is good. I have so many new recipes I just can't find enough time to make them all!! I have a LC hamburger pie I want to try soon also.

So tonight is pizza night here. I still have some meat sauce left and it's so good that I'm using it in 3 pizza dishes. I'm making zucchini pizza muffins, where's the crust pizza with mushrooms and salami and pizza sliders(pizza stuffed mushrooms). YUM

Deb, can't even imagine using cloth diapers. When I brought DS from the hospital 18 years ago, I tried cloth diapers. Once. It was not worth the trouble to me, and everything was leaking, etc. So it was disposable ones from there. If you start buying one box of a size at a time starting with the lowest size, I bet by the time baby Molly makes her appearance, Nana will have plenty of diapers for her. I see many diaper sales and coupons. In the olden days, I used to buy mine in the huge box from Target. That was when Target was still inexpensive.

Thinking of the good old days, I am now thinking it was almost yesterday when my boy needed diapers, and now he is in college. Where did all those years go? sigh....

I've been working on not being sedentary and walking 10,000 steps per day, which is considered physically active. Doesn't burn that many calories to cause serious weight loss, but improves a multitude of health markers. I am proud to say I have now lasted a week and my FitBit is telling me I have walked this much....

My weekly step counts:
07/09 - 6,273
07/10 - 10,294
07/11 - 10,114
07/12 - 8,136
07/13 - 5,732
07/14 - 10,269
07/15 - 5,417

Couldn't meet 10,000 steps each day, but I think it's a good beginning.

Hello All

I hope you all had a GREAT DAY!

That apron looks sooo cute! I bet he is proud wearing it. Awesome.

I actually had a pretty good day at work. Over the last few weeks when the radio played a certain song, I had to walk away because of waterworks. Today--- the songs came on the radio... I noticed...stopped for a split second, told myself I am ok and continued with work. I didn't have to leave!!! YAY.

I don't know...it meant a lot to me. It told me I am doing ok.

Well, I need to go figure out dinner... I'll be back in a little while.

Buttercup. We all have been and still rock around the 'don't want to do anything' stage. It does get better when you get the sugar and starch out of your system. As Sue said, this is a safe place to talk about ups and downs. You won't find any judgement but a lot of support and true caring. I love this place!! QUOTE]

Thank you for the kind welcome! I am looking forward to interacting with others on this journey

Good morning,
Chewie... that dinner sounds yum! I read something a few weeks ago about making low carb pizza by placing the fixings inside a zucchini that was sliced in half and hollowed out, then baked. I may have to try something like that soon. I miss pizza.

Just checking in before a very busy day. I've been awake since 1:45. Eek! It's going to be a long day! I just couldn't sleep. I used the time wisely and headed to the gym. Woot!

Here's my food plan for the day:
B: 3 eggs and sausage
L: grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing
D: probably 2 burgers, broccoli slaw and tomato slices

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning peeps. We had some rain. Probably not enough but every little bit helps. I have to take ds to the dr today for his ADD med check. I wanted to get it done before real football starts which is August 5. They usually give us 3 or 4 months of refills so it'll be a while before he has to go back. Even though we were just there Friday for his sports physical. They are making us come back for this---they like that extra $$$$$$ I guess.

Good Morning all

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.
I am getting my girls up and ready to head to the Portland Childrens Museum.
They open at 9 so we need to leave by 8:15 or so.

So I published my website just so some people could look at it and I am so nervous about it because its not done yet...work in progress. Would you ....any of you....mind looking at it and give me. Feedback through here? inspireme
Just remember....its still not done. Eventually I will move it to a .com or something....but using wix right now makes it free although I have to have their ad on my site.

Anyway. I am going to go get my kids ready....I will be back later.

.....Annett

Yes it is because it helps me focus on all the good things there are instead of wallowing over all the negative stuff that has happened. It gives me a purpose on days when I have nothing else to do... although with school restarting in the fall, I hope I will be able to keep it going.

No, mine only tracks steps, miles, stairs, calories burned, and automatically uploads them to their website where it keeps record. They also have a feature where you can enter your food, etc., but I'm using a different site for that.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
linda sue's recipes are the BEST!

DEEP DISH PIZZA
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1 ounce (I used the kind in a can)
1/4 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces Italian cheese blend or mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup pizza sauce
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Assorted toppings: pepperoni, ham, sausage, 4 ounce can mushrooms, green peppers, bacon, ground beef, etc.
Dash of garlic pepper or garlic powder and some Italian seasoning for top of pizza

In a medium bowl, whisk the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Whisk in the eggs until the mixture is well-blended and smooth. Add the parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below). Bake at 375º 20-25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark. Let cool completely on a wire rack. When nearly cooled, take a metal spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen. Keep the crust in the pan. This makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time.

Spread the chilled crust with the pizza sauce, then the cheese and toppings of your choice. Lightly sprinkle with the seasonings of your choice. Bake at 375º about 15-20 minutes or until toppings are bubbly. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.

I don't recommend making this in a metal baking pan as it will stick making the pizza very difficult to remove and the pan very hard to clean.

I think I may have discovered the secret to a crispy crust. I left the baked crust uncovered in the refrigerator for several hours. I think that allowed it to dry out a bit so that it became crisp during the second baking with the toppings. I was able to pick the pizza up in my hands.

NOTE: If you lightly grease the pan and line it with parchment paper, you'll have no trouble removing the pizza from the pan later. Greasing the pan makes the parchment stick to it so you can easily spread the crust batter.
