Buttercup

I understand where you're coming from, it's a scary place to be. Hang in there, if you stick to LC, you will lose weight pretty quickly. Also, not feeling like doing anything for me happens when I eat carbs and have no energy, and feel fuzzy and lethargic. If you are anything like me, LC is the answer not just to the weight issue, but also for the energy/positive outlook issue.

There is hope and you can do it!

P.S. I just noticed you live in TX. If you are in North Texas, we could be weight loss buddies.

Oh, I get it now.... The LC tortillas I see are usually greyish in color, these looked like regular.

Deb....my DD always supplies me with throw away diapers. I bet that is what your kids will use. If so let them send diapers for you to use when you keep Molly. She signed up with Huggies months before the baby came (so did I). We both received coupons for diapers. She buys them at Target and buys the big box of them. She gets a gift card back for spending so much which helps the next time she buys diapers. She just bought her first diapers last week since having Layla. She started buying diapers as soon as she found she was PG and had a ton of them. Enough for 6 months. She also got a bunch at her shower.

I've been a busy Nana today! I made Eli a "Manly" apron!!! LOL
It has all the Super Hero type guys on it. He should be excited.
Now the back of my neck feels like needles are stinking in it.
That happens when I sew for a long period of time. It will be
worth it when he goes to put the old teddy bear one on and sees
this one hanging there instead.

Sue, we need a picture of the manly apron

Sounds like it's time for some relaxation and neck and back stretching for you.

Hi all

I hope ya'll had a Happy Monday.
My day was pretty good considering everything.
I stepped on my scale this morning... I am officially down a total of 44lbs now WOOO HOOOO. I'll be all hot n sexy before I know it and my ex can eat his heart out!

My goal is to be down a total of 100 lbs by the time my birthday comes. I've been averaging 10lbs/mo so towards end of Dec I should reach my goal.
My reward (provided I get things cleaned up financially) will be a few days in Leavenworth, WA for the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. I LOVE THAT TOWN. I grew up in Germany so I really enjoy the German/Bavarian influences and FOOD. LOL... I won't go too crazy but I will have some things I usually do not for part of my reward.

Well I better go make dinner.
I hope ya'll had a FANTASTIC day!!!!!!

Sue--what a great nana you are. Eli is going to love it.

Annett--congrats on sticking to your woe--with all the stress you have, you are being very strong. I'm happy for you. That Christmas trip sounds great.

Good morning.

Well, my poor dh hit a new record yesterday, he worked 14 hours!!!! Unbelievable. He was actually home less than 12 hours and back to work this morning.

I made fresh guacamole and those baked chimi's yesterday. I used left over pork and made it just like Sue's recipe. Awesome!!! Dh said it was the best guac he had in his whole life.

Thank you!

A little bit about me... I'm 42, single, and have a son who will be 21 next month. Oh my, how time flies.
I have followed Atkins in the past and had much success with it. Roughly five years ago, I turned life upside down (or so I thought at the time) and ended a marriage that was WAY past its expiration date. Best decision I ever made - hands down. So much has changed for the better since then. One thing that hasn't changed has been my weight. I've been hovering right around the same weight I was at that time. While I sometimes wish I had kept moving forward with my weight loss, I am thankful I didn't move backwards and gain weight. It's all about perspective, right?

Anyway, long story short... I'm finally ready to finish what I started so many years ago. I restarted on 7/7 at 271.5. I'm following Atkins, and exercising 5-6 days a week. It feels really good to be back at it, and moving forward toward my goal.

I look forward to getting to know each of you. Thanks for the welcome.

Fluff, the more the merrier.

About me: I'm married, 54, mom to 2 boys--both going to be sophomores--one in college and one in high school. I have 2 furbabies--a dog and a cat. I had weight loss surgery in December and have lost 90 lbs so far. I'm hoping to hit 100 by the end of this month. I follow lc pretty strictly and always have protein first. That's a big wls rule.

Jump in and we'll help anyway we can. I love to cook and share a lot of recipes---lc of course.

Good Morning Glories!!! Wow, so busy in here I can't keep up! Yay!! I was down 1 1/2 lbs. today! 1/2 is the gain of yesterday but 1 lb. is down! Happy morning for me.

Fluff! So glad to have you! WTG on not gaining your weight back!

Chewie- Poor dh! At least he got a good meal because of his wonderful wife! I'm going to look for those LC tortillas.

Sue- You amaze me. After babysitting the way you do , cooking the way you do and now sewing! Girl, you put this Mawmaw to shame!

Kim- Glad you're back. Proud of you! You are a very busy lady!

Annett- Wow!! 44lbs. That's great! I can feel your depression lifting thru the PC. You go girl! So proud of you!

Liza- I have allergies too. Yuck! Itchy, runny eyes

Chris- Get in here and tell us what's going on! We miss you buddy!

Deb= How are you today my friend? I checked into the cloth diapers, too. Ouch! She was using a name brand disposable but he got a rash. She changed, he got better, went back to same name brand and the rash came back. Had to go back. They, of course, are more expensive! How is Ken today? Thinking about him!

Amber- Haven't forgotten about you!!

Good morning!!!
FuffRNutter!!! Let me just say when I read your name guess what came to mind. Nutterbutter cookies. You will see I have a sick mind like that!
I'm a grandmother (Nana) to 4 sweet kids. I am 61, married almost 44 years to my highschool sweetheart and I'm retired as of last year. Actually not completely retired. I keep my two youngest grand kids 4 days a week. I wish you much success with Atkins again!!
Jan....I doubt that I would ever make Nana of the year but I keep plugging along. Some nights I am ready to hit the bed early. Part of that is due to waking up at hours no one should be awake at!! I'm sure you can relate to that!! The other night I kissed hubs and said I am heading to the bed. He says...Sue, it isn't even dark out yet!! LOL

Eliza. I'll post a picture in a little while of the apron. We have already been baking in the kitchen this morning!! Layla was/is napping so Eli wanted to bake. We mixed some healthy type no bake cookies up. He loves breaking eggs so I let him do that for my meat loaf. LOL Of course I had to take a few shells out!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!!

He will be taking this apron home. I have more material with all kinds sport type stuff on it that I will keep here. You can't see it but I have a pocket on the lower middle with his name on it. It's a pretty "busy" apron. Just like he is!!LOL

AShley says she is going to use both LOL Sue i give it maybe a month! when she realizes it is work i bet she won't i am going to make the motorcycle diaper cake out of disposables i think and i have my cloth ones for here if Mollykins would get to stay that long sometime
i gotta do some digging in the storage though! wish i could afford some of those HONEST brand disposables by Jessica Alba those are nice good idea about signing up for coupons !

well Ken got two more SSA doctor appointments in the mail today! one on a SATURDAY at 8:21 am??? really weird it is a physical exam and then the other one is a hearing one looks like that would have taken the VAs records on all of that and not gone to the expense of these appointments IDK both of these appointments are in AUGUST ugh i think our last days of havign ken's work benefits are sept 12th i really am going to miss that discount card and i need to make a trip to sam's before we lose that card
we got up fairly early this morning 8!! whew! and steven and i went to town FORGOT the printer ink gah one of the main reasons i went SIGH but i got distracted looking at stuff for AG dolls(or knockoffs) i found a lip balm shaped like a pop bottle perfect size and at the dollar store found erasers shaped like food i think i am becoming obsessed!
i got a really good size bag of fabric scraps and a huge! thing of pink crochet yarn for 5 bucks at goodwill the yarn itself was 6 at walmart ! and 2 disney princess dolls i should not have gotten the 18inch ones dressed and all 2 dollars each ! but i gotta quit that i have to just get necessities from now on but i looked at walmart and those dolls are 25 each new and other than a box they are just like the new ones
this is one doll and the outfit

and Belle but she is in a nightdress and robe with slippers not the outfit pictured here but they are gold though

lol just noticed neither one has their crowns BUT 20 bucks off each?? i can make crowns!
