you lost a pound WHOOHOO!!

Only One Pound

Hello, do you know me? If you don't you should. I'm a pound of fat, and I'm the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet. Want to know why? It's because no one ever wants to lose me; I'm Only One Pound, just a pound. Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds or fifteen pounds, but never only one, so I just stick around and happily keep you fat. Then I add to myself ever so slyly so that you never seem to notice it, that is until I've grown to ten, twenty or even more pounds in weight. Yes, it's fun being Only One Pound of fat, left to do as I please. So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying "Oh, I only lost one pound." ( as if that were such a terrible thing!) For you see, if you do this you'll encourage others to keep me around because they will think I'm not worth losing. And I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you. Happy Days!! After all, I'm Only One Pound of fat!!!

Chewie - dh job moved to Andrews AFB, MD. We lived in Alexandria, VA for almost 20 years - it's where my boys grew up.

Sorry to hear that the troops went for all the carby stuff on your vacation. Have you been able to avoid most of it? Other than that - hope you are really enjoying your vacation this year - with an 80+ lb loss - being able to do more and move easier.

Sue - too cute about you and Eli sharing some ice cream..............plastic............hmmmm - maybe you're on to something?

Misty - good to see you post.............you have had a rough couple years. Sounds like you're on the up-swing now - goody.

Chris - 30 lb in 6 weeks........you are in the groove. You have really been dedicated to this. How has your wife done? Keep up whatever you're doing - 5# a week - wonderful. How are the feet - hope they are feeling lots better by now.

Deb - ugh - I have to go in to the doc for new meds too - she wants a fasting blood. I need to lose 50 lb first though. This is when I wish I were Samantha - I'd just twitch my nose and walla - I would be a 125 skinny lil thing..........lol when I dream big - I go all out wouldn't you say? Guess you figured out I saw a couple of the old Bewitched shows. My nose would be worn out from all the use. It was a cute show.

OK - eats for the day..........
b - thin bun/egg white/cheese/bacon
s - nuts and seeds 1oz
l - chipped ham
d - meatloaf/asparagus and a cube of ched cheese

think I'm calling it a day..................night all.

Linda

Miss Deb....would you be climbing up to sleep on that top bunk????
I would never be able to get back down once I climbed up!!
Linda can you relate to that? It's an age thing I guess maybe combined with the weight. Hubs would have to figure a way to get me down!
OnCloud......I hope tomorrow looks better for you! I'm guessing it is those darn scales that has you feeling a little down. I have to stay away from them or they do that to me if I don't lose the way I think I should. You are doing great so don't pay attention to those scales!!!!!
I think I will head towards my bed and watch a little tv before long. It's been a long and busy day here.
Sweet dreams to all!!

Hi. You all seem to be doing great on your plans. Congrats.

Deb, hope your prescription helps.

Linda, I love Bewitched, that twitchy nose would be very useful, lol.

Deb...who is Sharra? Is she your SIL?
Thanks Lynn....I am trying my best to work my way through cravings by allowing myself to feel the feeling and to let the feeling pass. So far so good!

It does pass too...doesn't it...it's that initial feeling..I go to bed dying to eat anything and everything...I wake up..not hungry at all...fight the demons... I am right there along with you.

Ok...thanks for the info on Sharra, Lynn! Now I know!!

For those of us who are allowing a very limited amount of fruit I thought this just looked like a really special treat!! Healthy also. It would be a good snack for kids.

Thanks everyone for the support. I do have depression issues that I take meds for and have to fight every day of my life. Oh well, had a better day today. Went with my sister to beauty salon and to lunch. She is eating Atkins too so it helps to have someone eating the same.

Hi Michele....come on in and join us. New people are uplifting!!
Chewie...we have the apple slices with PB at times also but I just never
thought of adding anything else! Leave it to me to not think!! LOL Are you coming home
at the end of this week or staying next week? It is really going to warm up around here
next week. 94 for next Wed.!! Yuck!!!
Lynn, its been kind of cloudy off and on here along with some nice cool weather.
Cloud9....Did you get your hair done also? That always makes me feel better! Lunch with a friend/sister doing LC with you helps on down days also. Glad you are feeling some better today!!
Another day about gone and I have made it through without eating off plan. That is a good thing! I changed my menu this evening and had such a good meal. I put baby carrots, frozen long skinny green beans, squash, onions, and peppers in a bowl. I threw on some olive oil and mixed. I added some cajan seasoning and threw it on a baking pan at 425 for about 35 minutes. It was yummy! Oh...and to make us think we really had something special I added a small chunked up potato in with it.
Have a great evening everyone!

Good morning. Today is our last full day here. We have a boat all afternoon, I just hope it doesn't get too busy. There are some giant boats on here and I get scared.

You know Chewie I was at the place where my energy level was horrible and keeping two little ones you have to have energy! It has only been 1.5 weeks off sugar so far and I can already tell the difference. Last evening I was cleaning the front door glass. Hubs says...can you move over a little and hold up that cleanser so I can take a picture of you cleaning the door!!!! ( Smart A$$).
After that I even cleaned the cabinet in the bathroom out. Now this was after a full day of keeping the little ones!

Oh...another thing being off sugar is I am not having to take a nap daily like I was. While the kids are napping I am relaxing or doing something in the kitchen. My knee joints are starting to feel better also. Sugar does awful things to us for sure.
