cloud9 no need to apologize. One reason we are all here is to listen and encourage each other whenever we need it. Better to rant to us than to hold it all in and eat your way through a container of ice cream. You are doing great on your weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chewie, or anyone for that matter....I bought 2 cans of crab meat some time ago and now I forgot why or what it was for!!!!!!! Any ideas on what to do with it? I'm thinking of using it in some type of salad or maybe crab patties? Would canned crab be ok for that? Some day I would love to buy some fresh crab meat and make some yummy crab patties. LOL...now I am sounding like Sponge Bob Square Pants!!

Tomorrow at some point I HAVE to go to the store. I am out of my Atkins shakes and missing them for mornings. I am almost of of veggies also.

Have a great day everyone.

B-sausage/cheese omelet with 1/2 minute muffin and coffee
S-iced coffee
L-Chicken salad on a green salad
S-jello if needed
D-LC pizza
S-maybe a small peach (they are so juicy and sweet)! I figure if God makes it, it won't hurt to have some in a small amount. It's that man made stuff that gets to our hips!!

Good morning. DS14 woke me at 6:30 to go fishing again at the lake. He caught and kept a big bass. We stayed almost 2 hours. Stopped at the grocery store to get jalapenos for poppers for tomorrow's app. I got 20 so it will make 40 pieces wrapped in bacon. Yum. I already cleaned them all. I also cut up 2 lbs of strawbs for a strawberry cheesecake salad. It's more of a pudding but I'm using it as dessert. It used sf cool whip, straw yogurt, sf cheesecake pudding mix and strawbs. YUMMMM

It won't be long till the 4th!!!! Is anyone planning ahead so we don't fall into the yummy foods???? We will be going out to our sons and I know there will be plenty of meats and raw veggies. So I will be ok there. It is the desserts that will catch my attention. I plan on taking something that be on the LC side. I'll have to think about it for awhile and look up some of my recipes.
If anyone has any suggestions or recipes be sure to share!!

She is 33 now and lives in an apartment on her own with assistance from CNA's. We never got any help when she was growing up. People always think you get a check and medical services for free. Not true. She never got any money or us for her and she was on my insurance just like the rest of us. Trouble is, insurance will not pay for things needed. Jerry's Kids is a joke, so is Crippled Children and Cerebral Palsy Center. Only people that helped us pay for our copay on her first wheelchair was Shriners. So, I always give them something even if it's change. In 1989, she was 9 years old, and our part of wheelchair was close to 4000 dollars. She is paralized on right side and not strong on left so had to get motorized chair. They really cost more than many new cars! Crazy. OK, don't know how I got off on such a tangent. Just feel sorry for myself tonight. We went and bought groceries for her today and dh is trying to get the a/c fixed in her van. BTW, no insurance or medicare or medicaid, no one helps buy a lift That is considered a luxury. Really??!!
oh good grief! this makes me soo mad and sad! i know people in way better shape than you are describing for your daughter that got even vans paid for that are wheelchair accessible i wish i knew what to tell you to help
seems like it is ALWAYS the most vunerable of us that get shafted the worst and they are the ones we should be taking care of
so she lives in he r own apartment?/ that is great! and you HAVDE to vent goodness knows i do it enough and this group is for SUPPORT and not just about weight loss support there are soo many other things that have an impact on us

As they say....what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!

I have been going through a bunch of my LC recipes. I am trying to make a menu out for next week. Trying a couple of new dishes each week has helped out the last couple of weeks.
This coming Tuesday it will be 1 month since I started back on an eating plan. I have cut out sugar and I am sticking with mostly LC items with the exception of some berries and an occasional apple. One thing I have noticed a BIG different in is my energy level. A month ago I would be counting the hours before it was time for the little ones to take a nap so I could take one also. Now it is seldom that I even take a nap. Sugar is such a drug!!!
I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.
yes youa re right sugar is a drug and having the processed food too makes us soo slow and even hungrier CRAZY isn't it
i am glad form your increased energy

Down a lb. today. Happy, but in one of those, "What's a pound to an elephant" moods. I'll get over it.

B- 2 eggs/cheese, ham, coffee
L- Atkins Shake, Dobie Muffin/cream cheese
D- not sure yet
S- Atkins Bar

Everybody have a great day! Probably be back this afternoon.
a pound to an elephant is a pound to the rest of us! that one sneaky little pound that can bring others with it or ALSO take them away go to the fridge pick up a pound of butter and LOOK at the whole pound THAT is what you lost
not soo little huh?

deb- Thank you for sympathizing. It was and is still a big frustration but she is happy and that's all that matters. We've always tried to shield her from the worst of it. BTW, dh is her stepfather. She was 14 when we married and she calls him Daddy. He has done way more for her than biological father. He doesn't even call on her B'day. Zip- not spending any more time on it. (Today anyway.)

Made Eggplant Parmesan for dinner. Combined 2 recipes and added our own touch. I could eat this every day. Dipped slices in egg, battered in Parmesan cheese and fried. Put salsa on top, sprinkled mozzarella over that, and broiled till cheese melted. So yummy.

I'm thinking of making some type of LC pudding pops if I can find one. I did find a recipe that looks yummy. It's Pina Colada Pops! It's not LC but they sure look good

Pina Colada Pops

1 8oz. can pineapple chunks, in its own juice
1 banana
1 10 oz. can coconut milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend all the ingredients together in blender.
Pour into molds and freeze 4-5 hrs.
117 cal. per pop
Makes 6 servings.....more if you are using small holders.

Me to.

Oh....hubs and I wanted ice cream. I got my little freezer out and I used 2 cups of the 60 calorie Almond Milk. I usually use the 30 calorie but they were out last week at the store.
I took 1 tiny peach and 1/2 of a small banana along with some vanilla and Splenda. It turned out really yummy and froze up really nice. That took care of my sweet tooth for the day!

Good morning. Dh and I sat on our front porch on our swing watching the super moon. It was so nice, a wonderful breeze was blowing and it was just so relaxing.

So today is cleaning and cooking. I've had extra thick pork chops brining in the frig since Friday, grilling them with creamed spinach, lc cheesy skillet bread, marsala mushrooms, green salad. Appetizer is jalapeno poppers and dessert is that strawberry pudding salad.

I went to go swimming and the stupid pool is all cloudy. I did get in but dh wouldn't come in so I ended up getting out and going and taking a shower. I was worried my skin, which is very sensitive, might react to the water. Luckily, there was no problem.
