Chugging along. One to two pounds a week has been my goal and I am hitting it. At my age, I think that's pretty good; plus it will hopefully give my skin some time to adjust. We'll see.

Down another pound this morning. 290lbs. Good heavens!!! I could be a line backer in pro football!!! Hopefully I will hit those 80's soon!!! My goal is to see 275 by Fall. 265 by Christmas would be wonderful!!!!

Wow time flies! Oksue, you are almost into the 280s, what a great accomplishment! Keep on getting on that eliptical, you can do it. I started my cross fit class last night. There were 15 beginners. I was neither the oldest, biggest or slowest for once. Tough workout and half of the hour was spent talking about what was going to happen. When we actually got into the workout that he called a "mini", I was saying to myself, "what have I gotten myself into?" Scale was up this morning for no apparent reason, but going to put my all into these workouts and hope for the best.

Jan if it makes you feel any better, I am down 26.4 since May 1st, so yes, it is a long journey, but at least we are making steps along it. I wake up every day knowing that I am more healthy than I was three months ago. Be proud of what you have accomplished so far!

And Michele, yes, we have to keep encouraging each other, through the highs and the lows. Even though we don't know each other personally, you ladies know more about my weight struggles than almost every other person around me on a daily basis. I need this support and hope that we see some of the people come back and check in, no matter if they losing or gaining, we won't judge, we will just encourage.

Feeling good today! Happy Thursday, weekend is around the corner!

Jan, I think 25 lbs. since May is great!! It hasn't even been a full 3 months and you have lost 25 lbs.!!!!!!!!!

Confession time. I had a roll at Texas Roadhouse. I am trying so hard to stay on track and get to my labor day goal. I just don't want to be on the slippery slide. I'm almost to 20 lbs gone, less than 10 lbs from ONEDERLAND and I'm trying to self sabatoge, I think. What is up with that??

Darci- Don't beat yourself up over one roll. Think about how many rolls you've had in your life. I'm sure that won't be your last either. Just know that today is a new day and you can make new choices!! I know you can do this- one day at a time!!

Darci- So, you're getting your Master's. Bless you! How old are you? I got mine in education while teaching full time, kid, house, etc... I was in late 20's when I went back for mine. Took about a year and a half. Ugh!! So tough balancing it all. I'll pray for you!

Darla.....here is a happy dance for you and for Jan!!!! WTG ladies!!!!
Darci.....you know what? I have always felt that if I eat just one thing off plan I have blown it. Actually in the long run of things a roll or even two isn't going to harm you as long as you get right back on plan. For me I have never understood that. I have always felt if I eat one wrong thing I had blown everything to pieces and off I would go on a binge. I am really working on understanding that it isn't true. If I choose to go out and even have a portion control meal of hamburger and fries it will be ok. I won't blow up like a balloon over night from it. I just have to maybe cut back a little the next day and hop right back on. I think that is part of our problem. We deny ourselves on special occasions and then see what happens. We feel cheated and so we end up going on a binge.
Yesterday I made some healthy type granola bars. When it was time to take them out of the pan I knew I would be nibbling on them and would end up eating some and I really didn't want to do that. Guess what! I put two pieces of gum in my mouth and it worked!!! I didn't even have one bite!!! Where there is a will there is a way!
I am praying I will see the 280's in the morning. I checked this morning and I am sitting right on 290. It has been a slow scale week with just a pound so far but that is ok because I know I have been good. I did have one day where I ate 600 extra calories but I got right back on after that day. I am trying to stick with around 1,250 calories daily.

Oksue: I agree with you! I too am trying to change my mind set. My son had a sleep over party (total of six 11 year old boys). So there was a ton of junk food around. Pizza, chips, soda, gummi bears and an ice cream cake. I had the pizza, but I just ate the top, no crust (okay one bite of crust because Round Table makes such good pizza). I had one chip only to taste the new Dorito flavor (spicy chicken wings dipped in ranch), not so good. I had one teaspoon of the ice cream cake and two gummi bears. I don't like sweet soda so I was okay there. I tried everything, but didn't over indulge. I may be up a little on the scale, but I know that is going away soon and I will be firmly in the 20s headed for the teens. Thanks for the happy dance!

Today, I was trying to find pant to wear because I hadn't put the load in the dryer. I pulled out a pair and despaired becuase I was going to be late and those pants were too small, but I tried them on and they fit! Even a little loose. Then I put on a bra that didn't close in back a couple of months ago and it, too, fits! Happy day!

I did a one mile open water swim this weekend. Feeling really good today! Four more cross fit classes this week!

I'm up 3lbs. today!! A lot of sodium over weekend eating pepperoni chips and skillet pizza made by my sweet DH. Just ate too much of a good thing! LOL

I can't even remember what my goal is. I tried to look and see if I posted one but I can't find it.

I guess my goal will be 10 lbs. I'm starting out at 245.6. Onward and upward. (or downward)

Jan~I wasn't trying to beat myself over the roll but it occurred to me, isn't that why we are fat? it's a "NO" food and OMG! I had one so the world is over! That mindset has to go or goal will never be obtained.

My 13 year old started 8th grade today! He was so excited to be at the top of the heap for middle school! Of course he is taking all advanced classes so we'll see how long the enthusiasm lasts!

Oh! (see if I stay away too long...this chatty thing happens!) Walmart has the dreamfields pasta and I had spaghetti and it was GOOD! Not an everyday thing but it was definately a treat!!

I started getting a sore throat last night...ugh! Scale was up a tad this morning too...buggers! My DH has been sneezing and blowing his nose for the past 3 days...he said it was allergies..I think Not! I told him last night he has a cold because now I have his sore throat
