Hi Ladies!

I could have sworn I posted yesterday. In fact I KNOW I wrote one but I don't see it. How odd...

Anyway...I lost 2.5 lbs this week! That means I am on track for the labor day challenge! Not that I think it's going to be easy or anything but that's the point of a challenge right?

I will get back on later and try to get personals. I feel like I am neglecting you all and I want you to know that you all inspire me and I need your support!

Dari, WTG!!!!!!!!!!!! 2.5 pounds is great!!!!!!!!!!
I have a new lemon chicken recipe in the oven for tonight. I'm hoping it is as good as the recipe sounds.
We sure are slow moving in here!!!
I have no idea how I am doing on weight loss but I don't dare get back on those scales for awhile.
Outside my window here we have a huge pecan tree and I see little pecans setting on!! I hope we have a ton this year. We have 3 huge trees and some years we get so many we can't even use them all. We have a few neighbors who comes to pick some up. I love it on a cool Fall day going out and picking them up. Wait.....I love it on the years when I am down in weight so I can bend over to pick them up!!!! That makes a big difference!

Hi Ladies!

OKsue~share your recipe if you can I think one way that makes this work well is by trying new food that's GOOD! I mean we all love eggs, meat and cheese but let's DO something to them!

Michele~I'm sure SOMETHING is happening

Jan~How are you doing? Is the scale playing mind games?

Amber~where are you?

Darla~How are the work outs? Congrats on 25

We haven't had a QOTD in a while! How about?

if you could add ONE food to the "legal" list, what would it be. This is ONE food, NOT a food group!!

mmmm, lemon chicken sounds good, and I bet my dill tzatziki would be good on it too! Did you get back on your terror machine today? Try for 2:10 you can do it!

Way to go Darci, 2.5 a week is a really great amount!

My workouts continue: I swam Sat, Mon (1-1.2 miles each day) Did eliptical on Tuesday for 30, 13 min today as I did a big arms workout, think I will swim again tonight. Believe it or not, it feels so good! Well I hit 233 and held for two days, went up and back down to 234.8. (I know this is driving Darci crazy, she is screaming at the monitor, STOP weighing every day!) Found out today my surgery is scheduled for Friday at 1:00 pm PST. So wish me luck!

Hope all is well with others and hope to see some posting, we have 6 and 1/2 weeks until Labor Day! Lots of time for weight to come off!

Good evening everyone...
The chicken was not good. Hub told me to lose that recipe!! LOL
It was way to strong with lemon in my books. I'll not pass the recipe on unless there is someone who really loves strong lemon.
I've not felt up to par today so nothing much got done around here this afternoon.
Have a great evening everyone!!!

Good Morning!

Darla~I will keep you in my prayers on Friday! Everything will be fine and you will be so happy when it's over! Also, I had to LOL about yelling at the monitor. I do occasionally do a mid week check so I can't say too much. I don't weight everyday because it CAN effect my mood. I just don't think MOST people can handle the fact that the body does have NORMAL fluctuations. If you're good with that and can accept it knowing that you're looking for a downward trend then go for it. I was on a site before where people were whining about the day to day thing....

OkSue~I will skip that recipe If your husband says it's a no go then I'll believe him I hope you're feeling better!

I wonder where everyone is? Hope that they are just out enjoying the summer!

I forgot to answer my own QOTD yesterday! Answer: CAKE!! I love cake

Here is a good recipe. My hubby loves it. EASY to make also!!!

HAMBURGER CABBAGE STIR-FRY

1#ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
16 oz. bag coleslaw mix
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 Tab. soy sauce
1 Tab. sesame oil
Pinch of powered ginger, optional
Pinch of cayenne, optional
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tsp. granular Splenda
1 bunch green onions, cut on the bias...(I just chop mine up)
In a very large skillet or wok, brown the beef with the garlic, salt and pepper.
Drain the fat if you like or leave in. Add the cabbage and mushroom. Stir in cabbage and
stir-fry until the cabbage is tender-crisp. Add the remaining ingredients and heat through.
Adjust seasonings to your own taste.

Thank you Oksue! I do love to swim. That receipe looks delicious, I think I will try it this weekend.
I am back down to 233 and want to go down from there, not up! My birthday is coming up in two weeks and I would really like to be in the 20s. Fingers crossed.

Due to surgery scheduled tomorrow, I can't eat anything after midnight tonight. My check-in time is 1:00 pm and my procedure isn't scheduled until 2:30, that means I won't eat anything for almost 24 hours, are you kidding me? I'm not even suppose to have water tomorrow. I usually sip water all day long. UGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Good Friday morning.
Prayers for your surgery Darla. Wouldn't it have been nice if your surgery was this morning so you wouldn't have to go without food and water!! If will be over soon
and this will be behind you.

I had grand kids over to play in the slide/pool. It was such fun watching them and I got carried away and ate 2 cookies and a slice of pizza right along with them.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!!! It was really sweet to know I had a bunch of support here. The procedure went well, little soreness, but luckily, I didn't have any side effects from the anesthesia. I just ate a bowl of soup that I had made earlier in the week from a chicken carcass, so good! I was down .2 this morning, wish I had weighed before surgery, since I hadn't eaten or drank anything. Only bummer, is no swimming for a few days to a week.

Oksue enjoy the time with the grandkids and get back on the horse (or your eliptical).

Darci keep posting, they will come back.

I had to burn some time this morning so I did a little retail therapy. This was the first time in a LONG time that I tried on clothes and said, "that looks cute on me!" And, I actually had to go down from XXXL/XXL to just XL. That made me feel so good.

Spagirl: wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Darci: yeah the boards are a little slow this summer...hope that just means people are busy having fun and staying on plan!

Oksue: sorry that chicken recipe wasn't any good

As for me I'm trudging along...scale read 280.2 this morning so close to those 270's ...I just want to get there and not ounce back up! Is that too much to ask??

Have a great day!

Hi everyone....checking in as well

Darla...I'm glad the procedure went well...also wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

Not much for me to report here....off plan, but maintaining...the scale seems to move to 233 to 235 so not too much damage...mostly maintaining. I probably won't get serious about plan until after my b-day, which is the same week as surgery....but seeing how well Darla is doing with her recovery gives me more more peace of mind about my little annoying procedure...lol....

July is half over....yay! LOL....I'm not a summer-lover....LOL...too flipp'in hot!! Have a good day everyone...till next time. Congrats on everyone staying on plan and losing the LB's!!!!

All you swimmers!! Wish I had a pool. Maybe can afford one in retirement. Oh wait, I'm in retirement already. Guess I'll have to buy a kiddy pool and stick my feet in!

Just copied your recipe Sue. Looks good.
Not weighing until Monday! Can't take the bounces anymore.

Hi everyone.....
Darla, it's over and you are doing good. That is great to hear!!!!!
Amber, if you are holding steady then you are doing good! Hang in there. It will hit you one day like a ton of bricks and you will be ready to jump back in. I wonder why we do
that. I know that is my life also. I am NOT a summer lover either. I am all about Fall! I love it!!!
Michele, Hang in there. Those scales will surprise you one morning soon!!!
Oh Miss Jan.....how are you doing this weekend?

Good Afternoon!

Sorry I haven't been around! I have been busy enjoying summer! Although I went to a baseball game Sunday and got heat exhaustion. I WAS drinking water but it was HOT! KC in the summer will do that do you!

OH!! I lost 2.5 again this week! Those are good losses for me so I'm a little scared of next week but for now I will be happy

Michele~your new decade will come! Keep on keeping on

Jan~couldnt' resist a peek at your grandson. He is adorable!!

Sue~I haven't tried the recipe yet but it looks good!

Darla~I'm glad that you are doing well! Congrats on the XL!

Amber~I'm glad that you checked in with us! Are you going to be joining us after surgery?

How is everyone doing towards the Labor Day goal? I need another 8 lbs in 6 weeks. The super stretch would be 13 and honestly that really IS a HUGE stretch. I'll be happy with whatever honestly but it's good to aim high

Michele...I wore knee pants so I could get in with Layla. There is no way not to get wet with kids going down that slide. Hang in there. Those 70's will will get here!!!
Darci....I haven't stepped back on the scale but I plan on doing next week. I feel like I am doing good. We will see!!!! Labor Day will be here before we know it!!
I am going to go walk on the elliptical then clean up. I think I will do a little fun stuff like make another little apron for Eli so he can have one here and one for his house.
"Busy hands and mind keeps my hands out of the cookies and my mind off of them"!!LOL
Have a great day ladies!!
