This week I've been trying to deal with my Menieres disease (inner ear issue that causes dizziness and vertigo). Back on meds but still feeling wonky at times. I cannot go to Zumba class (I fell down last week and knocked another woman down...) and I just bought a bike and now cannot ride it (picture having no balance and skin on pavement) so I am a bit bummed out. I am concentrating on doing spring cleaning for exercise. After the tornados here the other day we had tons of rain and I am waiting for my tiny yard to dry out so I can do some outside work too.

Terri- At 6ft tall you probably look slimmer than most people. You have found out now how to maintain within a 2-3lb range which is a really big part of weight loss,,,being able to keep it off and stay at the same weight. I know that maintenance will be harder for me than losing. If you are comfortable with how you look and feel now that is great. In the future if you decide to lose more you know exactly how to do it.

Laura-Hang in there a while longer and stick to your plan. Do you log your food in a journal every day so you can see trends and changes over time? Maybe post for us a few days of menus and carb/calorie/protein counts?

Kali- Your body must like that weight range. I know mine did when I was stuck for weeks bouncing one or two pounds. I know how frustrating it can be so try to be patient, as hard as it is you'll get past it.

Zay- Great job this week! It is hard at first to keep the cals low but every little bit helps and proof is the scale moving.

today had...
jerk chicken not sure of carb count cuz not sure how much stuff stays with the chicken but I only ate half a breast. I'd guess at around 4 carbs tops
german green beans 1/2 cup at dinner 1/2 cup at lunch 4 carbs
salad with cheese, bacon bits and 3 tablespoons ranch dressing 6 carbs
1 pickle spear 1 carb
shrimp with 0 carb/0 cal walden's cocktail sauce 0 carbs
1/4 C sunflower seeds 2 carbs
avocado 3.6 carbs

I eat a lil funny. I eat 2 meals a day, by the time I get hungry for the 3rd it's time to go to bed so I don't bother. I work 3rd shift and my bf works 1st, so my breakfast is really a dinner for him.

We started Atkins on his doctor insistance. He made it 3 weeks and quit... I'm still going. I've lost 20 something pounds cuz it keeps up down up down crap!!!!! So one day I've lost 24# the next I'm back to 21#.

I'm horrible about the scale I weigh myself at least 3 times a day just to see where I'm at. My bedtime weight is getting much better but the morning weight just is bouncing. I know I'm ranting at this point I'm just flustrated.... anyway tell me what you guys think about my food intake.

The fun part is trying to explain your week to people. For example, My Monday starts at 10PM on Wednesday, and ends at 8AM on Thursday. But my Friday Starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday.

So when you ask me what day it is... I don't know.

Laura, In my opinion, you should weigh only once a day. And make it the same time every day. That way you are comparing apple to apples, you know? As far as meals go, you do whatever feels right. I only eat once a day. Any more, and I'm gaining. Oh well. . . that's how I was made.

Laura- I agree with Terri, only weigh once a day at the same time of day. I do it in the morning right after I urinate, without clothes. I still have fluctuations that seemingly are for no reason, it is just how I lose.

Terri- You are doing something right!

Cathy- I don't lose well with nuts either. Will eat them only in very small amounts or if in dire circumstances when there is nothing else lc around.

Reptogirl- Looking good!


So this is me with my friends the Spin Doctors after a concert on Saturday. My BF is best friends with the drummer and we sit on stage during concerts. This year I did not feel like a complete whale!

YAY I'm going in the right direction again!!!!!!! Slowly but surely for the win!!!!!
I weigh after I get up in the morning and go potty but I do it with clothes on cuz the scale is in the kitchen in front of an open window... don't want to make the neighbors sick or anything. Just weigh myself again before I go to bed... if the number is lower it means I'm gonna have dropped some by morning... I know I'm silly.

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and had a great time. Welcome to all the new daily weighers and congrats to everyone for else for a great week. I only gained a lb. this past week which is a miracle since I was only maybe 60% on plan while away. Pretty happy with that and hope it comes off quickly this week.

I felt like the game "Hungry, Hungry Hippo" eating constantly yesterday. And today I drop weight instead of gaining. Funny how that goes sometimes. I did make sure it was not head hunger and that I was not stressed, tired or emotional about anything as I can definitely feel hungry when I am stressed or emotional.
