Found it. Dobie Muffins. They look a little different now but I do remember that name. The Sponge Bob ones look more like what I used. I think I'll try both. Bought flax meal but couldn't find sugar free syrup(which I used to buy at Kroger) or liquid Splenda. Will have to look for them. Excited about starting tomorrow!!

Hi everyone.....Deb...great news on your son's new job!!! I hope it works out and he likes it. Crossing fingers and saying a little prayer!! Oh...and knock on wood. We don't want to leave anything out!! LOL

Welcome to the new member!!! Do you have a name to go by? I also lost well about 9-10 years ago and gained it back. It's nice having you here. Deb is right.....go visit Linda Sue's recipes. They are the best. In fact here is one I was getting ready to send to my niece who has lost 60 lbs. on LC. This pizza is wonderful and it is so easy and quick to make.THIN AND CRISPY PIZZA CRUST - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

I haven't been on here in days and I sure miss everyone. I just miss being here and reading what everyone is doing, eating, and hearing good reports about everything.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Deb...hubs and I are going to try getting back on LC Tuesday morning. I went to the store and bought everything we need. It is so tough getting back on. I know I will feel so much better. It's just fighting it for a few days and getting the sugar and junk out of my system. How are you doing with eating? I know you were walking on the machine a little while back.

What's for dinner everyone????? For us it will be hamburger steak cooked on the grill. Grilled corn, and salad.

Nope, didn't know anyone. It sure makes me think about putting a "cellar" under ground at some point this year. The only problem is with my bad knee I don't know about getting in and out! The stairs are steep. Maybe I could put a slide in for going down. LOL

I recall how hard it is letting go of that child going off to college. I cried for 3 weeks every day after we left her. It gets easier. I do not know of any way to get passed it except to go through the hurt and pain. Just don't get stuck. Keep moving on and you will come out of it.

I have been waiting for someone to ask me this...I figured you would wonder why I joined this thread.......actually I joined this thread because it said everyone was welcome...I liked the way people talked here...I did weigh over 200 for quite awhile... I flucuated in my married years from 125 to about 202 or so...I had my gallbladder out...and lost around 60 pounds...been bouncing around for years...I have never been skinny...well, maybe at age 2......always had a weight problem...but, at some points in my life and I killed myself trying...I was able to keep it somewhat under control...and getting it back there after babies....sometimes I would get really comfortable..but, it was a struggle to make it last...anyhow...just a weight loss and gain rollercoaster ride..

Hi Sue. My name is Jan. I was so obsessed when I did this last time that my every waking moment was filled with thoughts of what to eat, new to eat, what everyone was eating and carbs...carbs...carbs. I had a very mild stroke and the doctor said to not exercise until I grit my teeth. No kidding, that's what she said. So, I had to relax a while and then I was afraid to go back to the gym. So.....I have relaxed myself back to a higher weight than I was when I started the first time! I am now a very relaxed fat woman. I'm 58 years old now and I'm sure it's going to be harder. I am a retired school teacher and it's just my dh and me at home now. Really excited about getting started tomorrow. I love this thread too.

No, it's not. So sorry he has them. Are your stats correct? How do you put them on? I dread weighing in the morning but I think it would do me good to post it. I try to hide it, cover it up and never look in a mirror or my reflection in store windows. I need to face it and then move on.

Hello everyone Im new to the site so far really enjoyed what Ive been reading and seeing. I'm currently 322. I started atkins 4 weeks ago. My wife and me are having difficulties adjusting this time we have "dieted" before but usually we fall apart after a couple weeks. For us its more than just a simple food change its a complete life change. We enjoyed taking trips visiting new places and new restuarants, going to carnivals and taking drives in our convertible with our club to get ice cream. Now all this stuff has stopped we are feeling really defeated. It's hard filling up the emptiness when our friends our out enjoying restaurants and other things we can no longer have. We both realize its for the best and for our better health but its just so difficult!

Welcome Chris! I'm so proud of you and wifey for making the decision to live a longer and healthier life. Once you get started, you'll see that you can eat out. Maybe not Ice cream but you can usually find something you can eat at any restaurant. I am restarting tomorrow after 9 years off. I had great success the first time and am hoping it will happen again. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing and what you are eating. I'm planning to have 2 scrambled eggs with cheese melted on top and a sausage patty for my first breakfast. What will y'all be having?
