It should be easier to get around cleaning up your condo weighing almost 40 lbs less.Have you noticed?

In regards to the car, are you going to buy new as in 2013 model or new as in new to you?
I'm going to buy a new to me car.

I'm looking at 2011 or 2012 mazda 2 hatchbacks or a 2009-2011 Toyota Yaris.

No, the 40 pound loss will put me at 340 pounds.

My daughter will be coming home at the end of May sometime, so that goal to be under 300 is probably unrealistic, but I can loose a bunch more weight before then.

And yes, I do have more energy. I went on a walk a couple of days ago and I have to go up a hill during this walk. Normally, when I do this walk, I stop at least 10 times and sit down and stretch my back. This time, I didn't stop once and walked at a pretty rapid pace.

Even though I am so far from my weight loss goal, these changes of having more energy and being able to do more are really wonderful.

Well, that is the kind of new car I like to buy---2-3 years old!

Hmmm, like you said you may not get under 300 but you will be closer!!! Looks like you are having nonscale victory too with the walking. That is definintely a victory being able to walk something nonstop that used to require stops! I hope you will continue to be motivated and successful with your weight changes!

Good morning all.....
I'm off shortly to go get the tires rotated and then I need to stop at Wally World.
It's going to be a warm and windy one here today! Yuck! I guess I should be thankful for the wind. That will at least move the air around some.
Lavender Blend....you will hit that 300 mark before you know it if you keep going the way you are now. We are here to cheer you on!!!!

yes my DS17 is a graduating Senior so is Melinda's son and ELiza Jazz's son OUR BABIES!!! WHAAAAAA
the play was called "DAYS OF OUR SCHOOL LIVES" and he played Patton the evil overload head of the janitors at the school

Quote:
It's half-time at the big basketball game but Trish, Joannie, and Crystal ignore their pep squad duties to gossip about the latest surprising developments at their school. The new female teacher seems to have a persistent five o'clock shadow and the English Department has taken over the administration. The new leader, Mr. Dickens, is a Shakespeare fanatic who is in league with the evil custodial staff, who in turn spend their time collecting gum wads and blackmail evidence on the teachers. All the classic conventions of soap operas are here: memory loss, mistaken identities, love triangles, villains and heroes, and even a politically-correct Coke machine thrown in. Each scene ends in melodramatic suspense, complete with long stares and music chords. The plot strands converge on a hilarious exorcism of Shakespeare's ghost and a trial where the hapless Grammar Governor is exposed. Satire, slapstick, puns, and literary allusions combine into a farcical feast of fun.

We're supposed to have unseasonably warm weather the next 2 days, in the 80s. I sure hope this doesn't continue like last summer. It got hot and stayed hot. It was terrible and our electric bills were through the roof.

So my boys have been eating carbs on the weekends. Lots of carbs. Poor ds14 is too much like me and just can't lose weight that easily. He said today no more carbs even on the weekends. It makes me feel so sad that he has to deal with this burden. At least maybe I can teach him now how to eat to make life easier than I've had it with all the weight issues my whole life. Sigh.

WATER CALL
I'm working on my protein shake and as soon as I finish it, I'll be at 55 ounces so far. Not including 2 cups of coffee. (has caffeine so can't count towards fluid)

So what's for dinner tonight? I planned on making homemade ricotta cheese and then making spinach gnocchi with it to go with my homemade meatballs and sauce BUT dh took today off and might cook something else. I think I'll make the ricotta anyway and that way tomorrow I have one less thing to cook. Plus it can drain longer and will yield a drier gnocchi.

Chewie....I'm grilling some Jalp. sausage links out and I'll grill some veggies to go with them.
Simple and easy on this warm day. I see you mentioned making homemade ricotta. Have you ever made cottage cheese? I have a recipe and it looks easy. I just might do that later on this spring or summer. I do love cottage cheese!!

Ok well I am going to tidy up my house real good as I need the bug man to come to my house. I hope you are all doing ok.

I don't think homemade cottage cheese tastes anything like boughten cottage cheese. My mother used to make it, and I really didn't care for it. Daddy put sugar and salt on his and really liked it.

Afternoon, Folks!!

A beeeeuuutiful sunny day here. We are supposed to hit 82! Catching up to Melinda. I woke up before 5:00 and got up and came downstairs around 5:15 as it was obvious that I was not going to get back to sleep. I did some devotionals and had a cup of coffee. I was afraid I would be too tired to go to my Aqua Exercise class but I wasn't. I did go. Yay, me! I say that because it is so easy to talk myself out of exercising. LOL

I got home a little before noon. Gathered up a bag, gloves and the Weed Be Gone and headed out to pick yellow dandelion flowers (AGAIN) and spray them with the Weed Be Gone (AGAIN). That took me an hour and I was perspiring by the time I was done. LOL It seems like it will get to 82. I have just had a bite to eat as I was very very hungry. I am going to head to Half Price Books in a bit with some of the books and videos leftover from the Troop's Garage Sale to see if we can pick up a few more dollars for their trip next year. Youngest also has a track meet today followed by a dance class she can't miss as there is a competition this weekend.

What are all of you up to?

Oh, my scale showed me down about 3 lbs! Today was the first day of a loss so I shall have to see if it sticks tomorrow.
