Yes, Malinda. They are twin long. I think they do it for the tall college boys. You will have to check for sure with the college. He will also need towels, washclothes, and toilitries.

LOL They are doing this to help raise money to go towards their trip to Savannah, GA next Spring Break. Their Troop Leader wants them to earn money towards their trip not just have parents pay for it. But at 12 and 13 it is harder to find jobs. Oh, well.....

I did tell youngest about the Universities in Canada last night on the way back from dance. Well, I didn't have to try to brainwash her at all! She was all over it! Excited as could be as she wanted to go to Canada last summer. Then she asked, wait so where in Canada is this university? Is it really far up to the north and really cold? Ha!LOL I replied if you are worried about it being in the Arctic Circle, no, it is not that far north. It will be cold. McGill is in Montreal. Then she asked if she had to speak French. I don't believe so but it wouldn't hurt to take it in High School. Yay!!!! I am so excited and so is she. We came home and looked them up on the internet. Getting into McGill is pretty competitive. I believe the minimum ACT score is a 26 and you may not get in with a 26 depending on other applicants the year you apply. Of course, there are other Canadian universities, they just happened to go to McGill to do the feature story. We were looking to see if they have Physical or Occupational Therapy programs/degrees and Engineering for her.

Melinda, you asked if that included housing and I believe it does. I think it was on the NBC Nightly News so you might be able to go online to their site and watch it from last night's broadcast.
oh KC i am excited for her too SIGH gotta get passports though mine is 25 years old and who knows where? and steven never had one and Ken had his military ID soo he never really had a passport
i will talk with Steven about it do you know if they have any scholarships at all?

th e other guy asked to come down and spend the night! well since it was the first time and we really don't have anextra bed anymore Steven even said it was funny sounding soo i will be taking him home by 9 and maybe he can spend the night next time
and HONESTLY his parents have NEVER met us and i know people do that all the time but i want to meet where my younguns were going and i think other parents should too you never know nowadays

Steven 's room is COVERED in transformers and his twin bed has junk like crazy on it i don't even go in there anymore He sleeps in our old master bedroom and while it is a full sized bed in there(and i am not sure teens would like sharing anyways) the litter pans are in the walk in closet there and i am always worried i don't have them cleaned out well enough and they might smell really bad to others and our noses are just worn out and used to it
kenny's old room SIGH isn't a bedroom anymore
Ken cut through the wall to come into the new part soo there is a HUGE Lshaped desk in there and my sewing table one reason i want to covert his big closet into that nap book nook
if everything goes good i do have a nice blowup mattress and maybe he could stay a different time

JUST IDEAS not everyone will need everything on list

One of the most important things to remember is that you don’t need to bring your life to college. You have a limited amount of space that you’re probably sharing with another person. Keep it light, keep it neat. Your life now consists of dorms, classes, dining hall, and parties. You’re going to be seeing the same people every day and doing the same thing every day. Don’t let this list influence you to buy stuff that you’re not going to use, because the main thing here is saving money and downsizing. On the other hand, you’re going to be on your own for the first time and there are probably a lot of things you usually don’t have to think about (laundry supplies, dishes, extension cords, etc).
Anyways, enjoy the list, , and HAVE AN AWESOME TIME SHOPPING.
