11 pounds in 9 days is amazing! I have only lost a total of 7 in the last three weeks.

Sue........prayers for little Layla and her parents and grandparents too. So worrisome when these babies get so sick so quickly. Just breaks your heart when they look so sad and sick.

Hi to Everyone. It's a beautiful day here today - supposed to hit 80.........what happened to a lot of 70 degree weather for a loooooong time? Got a crock of beef a going, dry-grilled (that's what I call it anyway - cut ch br thin and put them in a hot non-stick skillet) a bunch of chicken breasts, cooked up the beef remains for the puppy-dogs, sweetened dill pickles for ds, cooked up a couple lbs of grnd beef to have in the freezer. Whew - I'm pooped.

Still dealing with the sciatica, it is better I think - till I overdo - as I probably did - never learn a thing, do I? Still worrying about my eye - still so much 'stuff' floating around in there - and I think my vision has changed again. Go back to see her next week. And life goes on and I must be thankful for the good things - and I am.

Oh Sue, I'm so happy to see Layla smiling. She's beaming. I love it.

I left work at 11:15 and went to my fav thrift store. Got a few things for myself and a pyrex bread pan. Then I went to the little market over in that town and found some lamb steaks and picked up a few things. I didn't get eggs or milk as we have plenty for some reason this week. I guess because of Easter, we had lots of eggs.

I came home and made 5.5 lbs of meatballs. I ended up with 96 golf ball size meatballs. I have them chilling till later although the boys said they wanted burgers. I have ground chuck in the frig if that's what they decide. I don't care.

Melinda---I agree, 11 pounds is fantastic. That normally takes a person at least a month or more to lose.

I'm off to do laundry. Plus I have some thin steak in the freezer so I can cut it easier into thin pieces for fajitas. I want to marinate it for tomorrow. I also cleaned the frig today. Dh puts the food away for me at night since he is up later than me but he never puts it in containers. He always leaves it in whatever I serve it in and it makes me crazy. I keep telling him not to the do that but I guess he doesn't want to wash the dishes or leave them for me. I end up doing them anyway and things dry out sometimes cause he doesn't cover them. Men!!!

Dr. said she was in really bad shape when she came in. It was heart breaking to see her being worked on and so helpless.
DD says she is sleeping this morning and after a rough night with them giving her breathing treatments and trying to put a feeding tube in we are praying for a much better day today!! We do know she is doing so much better than yesterday. Her heart rate is back down to normal and her temp also. They are still working on her breathing. They say it will be 4-7 days in the hospital for her. There are a ton of people praying and a few more prayers will be appreciated.
oh no Sue! poor baby! i am sitting here crying i bet she is soo scared poor little girl! i am hoping there has been better news when i am able to catch up on the thread!

Deb, I feel your pain on the costume. When my daughrter was in high school, she was in a select song and dance group. The director's wife picked out the costumes knowing her size and got some that only went up to 2 sizes smaller than she wore. She thoguht my daughter could just wear one of the boys outfits. She was in tears and refused to dance with a guy in the same outfit she was wearing. They only came in 2 days before the first performance. I took off work early and took her shopping we found tops and tights to match the girls. They were wearing a plaid green short skirt. I found another one exactly like the first and put the two together to make one. I was SO mad. The director wrote me a beautiful apology letter.

Yes I did Deb, thanks a lot for mentioning it. I get too impatient. I've dealt with sciatica since I carried my kids. You'd think I'd know by now - it just takes time - lol - a lot more than I want to give it.

It's so sad that Steven's school and teachers are so inept at what they should be doing. Thankfully for all of you, he will be out of there in just a few short months. Won't that be a happy day for you!!!!
