The consignment store had all the winter stuff for 75% off so I bought lots more than I normally would have, planning for next fall/winter. I got 9 pieces, sweaters, dressy tops, and a purse all for $19.79!!! The purse is a leather/canvas Stone Mountain purse---brand new too.

Then I stopped at one more consignment store and found the motherload of Nike shirts for my boys. I got 9 of those dri wick tees, a brand new pair of jeans for dh and a nice U of A jacket all for $82. Those shirts are normally $30 each and one of them still had tags on it. It was fun. Love when I find good bargains like that.

Got my wings at the tyson store and they had 10 lbs of kielbasi for only $18 so I got a box of that too. Plus a few bags of bnls ckn to throw in the freezer too. Not as cheap as the big boxes but I don't have that much room. The kielbasi and 20 lbs of wings fit fine.
Wow awesome deals as always.

It is an HP something or other. LOL I dunno, not too terribly spendy. I know it will be nice to talk to you ladies from the sofa. Sometimes it causes some lower back pain to sit here at the table all the time.

Lony, I have put up with having baby calves, pigs, and lambs in my house and with my husband cleaning and oiling guns in my living room. Building guns would be a breeze. Enjoy your laptop.

we didn't buy all those laptops though
SIGH my MIL she will get one never run or even INSTALL antivirus! never defrag or clear cache or cookies and get them really messed up i worked with her again and again no avail! and she will get them to a place that there is something permanently wrong with them and then give them to us
we repair them as best we can
ken's laptop has to use an external keyboard cause the one on it does not work it has been wiped clean several times(but it is a dell so we can't put a better OS on it) and still ya know things wrong with it but good enough for us since they were basically free i think she has done 3 of them that way
and good grief sh e wouldn't put up with any flaws so she gets a new one

Chewie.. yeah I am happy about the berries.. cause I make a fruit salad every week.. sometimes.. I have to use the base of canned pineapple and canned Mandarin oranges.. cause there isn't alot of fruit on sale here.. so I am very happy about that sale..there is this particular melon I really love...as well.. I forgot what it's called..boy years ago they had honeydew or cantaloup and that was it... but this one is good...it's like orange melon or something....

Hi again. I got a few dozen wings cooking adn a pan of "Melt in your mouth" chicken. I hope it's as good as it's name. We have leftover creamed spinach and I'm just going to throw a salad together and dinner is done. I'm a tad tired from all my shopping so I was lazy with dinner. LOL The chicken dish took me all of 5 minutes to put together. The wings just need to get crispy and hot and I'll make a sauce to go on top. Not sure what kind yet---I'll let the boys pick. I expect ds14 will want bbq and ds18 will will hot wings.

Melinda--6 lbs is good especially considering it's PMS/TOM time and you're feeling bad from the bloat. You'll probably drop more by Monday.

Lony--good luck with your new laptop.

The dryer is on it's 4th load of laundry. When you do sheets, it takes all freaking day. LOL I still have to remake the beds too. Plus I washed all the new to me clothes too.

Or...we could spell it Memaw. I have a friend that goes by that spelling.
I ended up being Nana because my first grand baby could not get the grandma out. He picked right up on Nana. I felt more like a Nana than grandma.
Lony....are we the only ones here tonight????????
Oh....here's one. Not grandma....but Jamma!!! I've heard that before.
Jamma Deb.... Deb....you should be in here. We are laughing at names we are giving you.
Oh...and then there is Nene. I've heard that one also. In the end they will call you what they want.

Morning All!

It is cloudy and very very windy here today. We are supposed to see significant rain Sunday through at least Monday. Hoping we do get some rain!

I thought I had my meet up with the gals who make these dresses to send off to various places around the world. Turns out it is next Saturday. Well, that is all right, otherwise I probably would have procrastinated more on sewing up a dress. I now have three dresses done. I know, I know, big deal. Three! That works out to one a month.I should hang my head in shame. Well, I almost had 4 done but I think I may have cut too small an armhole for one so I need to redo that and the front and back casing, then put in the elastic and the bias tape. I shall force myself to do that this weekend. Then during the week I have fabric for one more dress. So my goal this week is to do the other two dresses. All I want to do with my spare time though is knit! I have to force myself to sew. So, today I am going to knit since yesterday I spent hours sewing.

I came across a blog post today from a blogger who is one of the Wally world moms. She was asked by them to come up with a recipe using poptarts! The thought makes me. She came up with a trifle. Funny she showed the recipe, steps to making it,gave other possible flavor combinations for different trifles, but never said how it tasted.......
