Hey friends!! Been watching calories and carbs. The calorie restriction is REALLY helping. Even saw 295 over the weekend. Dr. has no probelm with me shedding a few lbs and I have to watch all intake anyway. So this is just the easiest way to do it right now.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the blonde is back!

Its been about 2 months or so since Ive posted. I have thought about all of you so much. I totally went off plan. Life threw so many curve balls at me I just needed a mental break. My father has been sick for some time. In January he started getting worse (having several mini strokes after already having 2 large ones). On Valentines Day my mother was diagnosed with lymphoma and then just a few days ago, on the 19th, my father passed away.

I cannot tell you how difficult life has been. Raising kids, working, taking care of 2 sick parents in and out of nursing homes and hospitals. I swear I found comfort in M&M's for 2 weeks straight. But nothing was as difficult as the death of my father. Even when they are sick, you cant even begin to prepare for something like that. I had planned on coming back here sooner. Ironically, on the day he died I had bought a home gym and treadmill. My son was off picking it up when my father passed away. I haven't got to use it until tonight because of all thats been going on.

I weighed last week and had put on about 12 lbs....but I wont let the monster get me any worse. I worked out on the gym tonight and walked on the treadmill. I have not weighed yet. I want to do a few days of working out and eating right before I weigh so I hopefully don't have too much shell shock.

I remember hitting 249 lbs on 3 different occasions before I left the forums. I was so happy each time I hit it. Thats gonna be my new mini goal to get to. Kills me that weight can come on so quickly but comes off so slow sometimes.

Im glad all of you are still here. I wanted to return to warm company. I see a few new faces too!

I'll be checking in daily and will start posting my weight on Friday and go from there. I need to get back in my groove and find some normalcy in my life now and this place always has been just what the Dr. ordered.

It feels good to be back!

Blondie, I'm so sorry that you have been through such a rough spot. I'm sorry about your dad too! . It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that you came back here though! There are so many peeps that have left here never to return. It helps to be here! Hope I see you every day!

Blondie- Welcome back. I am sorry for your loss and the overwhelming stress you've had. The weight does seem to come on so much easier than it comes off. I hope you will find that being in control of your eating helps with the other stressors in your life where you don't have control. Eating LC helps me control binging and that makes me feel so much better when the rest of the world is spinning out of control.

I'm approaching my one year anniversary for my lifestyle change! I started on April 26, conventional diet, low fat, count calories. then around May 1st, someone introduced me to low carb. The rest is history. I've never in my life been able to diet without deprivation until now. I'm a happy happy girl. No, I haven't met my goal yet, but boy, I sure am a lot more comfortable in my skin than I was a year ago!

Frankie, looks like you are right back on schedule! do you have a deadline for your goal for your plastic surgery? I'm just wondering. Tell me if I'm being too nosy!

Terri- I hope to have the rest of my weight off by August and would like surgery in September. So I am super focused about losing. I am doing research now on plastic surgeons who have good experience with patients who have lost a lot of weight.

Weighed on Friday as planned. Shell shock

04/26 - 274.3 (50 leg squats with 45 lbs, 35 pull ups with 25 lbs, 35 rowing machine with 35 lbs, 10 butterflies with 15 lbs, 1 mile on treadmill)
04/27 - 273.9 (50 leg squats with 45 lbs, 35 pull ups with 25 lbs, 35 rowing machine with 35 lbs, 1/2 mile on treadmill)

Man. This means I ended up gaining about 25 lbs. Total bummer to have to lose it all over again. Had a lot on me the last few months though so Im not gonna beat myself up too bad. I guess the main thing is that Im back on track now, in fact better than ever. I got me a gym and treadmill so Im working out everyday. I hope this helps speed the process up a bit lol. Im not sure what all the exercises are called exactly so I label them so I can know what they are for me and keep track of my progress.

Groovygirl, that .02lb is nuffin! Bet its off the next time you weigh.

Phranquie, you still amaze me. Do you have some before and after pics? You have lost a whole person already!! Grats!
