Terri- I hope you have a great time.

Judy- I know, it is frustrating isn't it? As frightening and weird as it sounds I was hoping I would have a 4lb bm all this week and I'd finally see a nice loss on the scale. Seeing the scale go up for no good reason is something I am trying to get used to.

Zay- The times I feel tempted to go off plan I try to stay busy and have the best tasting on plan foods I can think of all ready for me to eat. I also like to get online and find success stories from people who have lost weight. I also oddly enough like to look at LC recipes. Weird but I do not get hungry during this time. If I am tempted at home I get out of the house. You need to find out what will keep you busy and also plan what you will eat with some of your favorite LC foods. Hang in there, you can do it.

Z- Keep up the hard work with all your lifting and walking.

Thanks Frankie ...I do appreciate advice, ideas and encouragement. Its so weird some days I feel so strong and focused and then the next moment it all just goes away. I really don't understand this. I keep trying. I feel as if I've put so much effort into losing weight. It has taken me almost 2 years to lose 35 lbs. I just wish I could be consistent. Its tough mentally.

CinM- Great job this week!

Zay- I think everyone gets frustrated at times and I know there are times I contemplate eating off plan when the thought of some high carb food will get into my head and not leave. But I am thinking of this as the way I eat long term so those circular thoughts of going off plan get to be fewer and fewer now. I do tend to get very focused on the weight loss and that does help me to stay on plan when I might otherwise indulge in some food that I had not planned. I know that if I eat off plan that it'll be about two weeks before I am back to the same weight. So if I eat off plan just two days a month I will not lose anything that month. When I see it that way it is usually not worth it to indulge. Do you track/log your food to see where you have done well and what your carbs/fat/protein/calories are? Maybe there is a clue in your eating patterns when things were going really well for you that could help curb your desire to eat off plan?

Thanks Frankie. I'm going to think about that. I do track and I am a diet/binge cycle and have been this way for a long time. In the meantime, I'm on plan and have had good focus for a couple of days now.

My best Fiona Apple impression, "I've been a bad, bad girl". . Basically, too much fun over the weekend. The weather was gorgeous, and the grill was hoppin! I don't feel too bad though because I got LOTS of exercise! Zumbathon on saturday was a success!

Zay! Dang girl! Keep up the motivation you have right NOW!! Especially over the weekend? WOW I'm impressed! Looking forward to your new low!

Seriously lacking motivation these days I should be extremely motivated but I find myself eating the odd thing that is definitely NOT on plan which is very frustrating. Need to clear my house out of temptations this week.

I did another 5k (walk for me) Saturday morning and had fun. Late Saturday afternoon I felt odd and dizzy but kept doing normal things. By Saturday evening I could not drive my car home from the movies. Long story short, I have a weird ear disease (Meniere's) that causes severe dizziness and vertigo. I have not had an attack for well over two years and I weaned off my meds last year and have not taken any at all since last July. No problem until Saturday. So I had to start back taking my meds and luckily I had a filled prescription of one as it has to be specially compounded. Evidently I was retaining a ton of water which impacts fluids in my ear causing the ear membrane to tear and voila,,,vertigo. I am still a bit dizzy and won't be moving a lot the next day or two as I usually have issues for a few days and I don't want to be in Target and fall to the floor.

I had a another good day yesterday...but the scale isn't showing...yet. I have 1051 calories 83 carbs (65 net) and 96 protein. These are the numbers I'm focusing on.

I'm going to stay off the scale again until Friday. I think twice a week is good for me. Weighing daily is not a positive tool in helping with my motivation and attitude. I'll be checking in on you all. ((hug))
