I have been exercising more and eating more. I think I will be cutting back on doing more than 3 classes a week. Doing a 5k this weekend made me crazy hungry for some reason.

Frankie, you ran a 5k?? Wow...that is wonderful! What was it like? I sat on the sidelines last summer and watched my husband and son run one last summer. I would love to do that one day.

Hello everyone else.

Since Easter and then my sons birthday I'm really having a difficult time getting the sugar out of my system ...keep craving more and more.. I need to go cold turkey for at least four days. I hope for at least to stay the same as last weeks weigh in. See you all Thursday.

Zay- I was in the 5k, but did not run, just walked as fast as I could. I did zumba and a lot more walking that day,,,took over 20,000 steps. I have only in the past few weeks started exercising at all. I doubt I will ever run, just too hard on my knees and ankles.

Frankie, I was just thinking this morning about the running issue. I mean, I've never been a "jogger" but I've been athletic all my life. I've had to adapt my routines due to the over 50 joint issues. I thought "man what would it feel like to run again?" I mean, a full sprint. wind in your hair. . . sigh

Since I live alone, most of my temptations are outside my house....like going to lunch/dinner with family/friends.

Phrankie....Running isn't good for you in so many other ways too. It's hard on the hips, the face, not to mention the bazooms. It's not good for much of anything other than the heart and the ego....and I can think of other ways to get my heart rate up.

Well, I woke up to a birthday surprise! I've lost 20.5 lbs!! Really made my day that I met my goal on my birthday. Now I just need to get the kids to school so I can play with my new tablet Thanks for all the bday wishes!

Shannon- Congrats on making your 20lb goal!

Judy- I hear ya on the boobies and running. I cannot find a sports bra that really gives good support. I wear 2 sports bras for zumba, and I grab them and hold them to me when we jump. As far as running and feeling the wind, I got the convertible two years ago and love it. Forget running!

Terri- Yup, I used to run until I dislocated my ankle one too many times. Ankle got fixed with surgery but all the stress now goes to my knee.

CinM- I definitely find a huge benefit in logging my food. I try to do it before I eat. Then I know where I am each part of the day with carbs. After a while you'll get used to logging in your food and if you are like me and eat the same foods for a while it is super easy.

I have been eating super clean and well under 25 carbs total, not net, all this week. I typically eat more carbs around 45, but was trying to limit them to get my protein up a tiny bit and still stay low in calories. I felt I needed more protein with the exercise I have been doing. It is either too few carbs or the addition of exercise for the scale to not move. In the past 9 months I have only had a couple of weeks where I have not lost. I typically go with the flow on these short stalls but I am trying hard to get to goal so that I can plan for plastic surgery.

Terri- Have fun tomorrow in the Zumbathon. I am so out of shape I barely get through an hour of it after going three times a week for a month.

LCLibrarian- Hang in there. TOM will pass and if you stick to your plan you'll start losing again.
