On March 31, I weighed 158 lbs and today I weighed 152 lbs. My goal was to lose 4 pounds in 8 weeks. I was successful.

I also wanted to increase my walking. This was not really successful so that will be my goal for the 4th of July Challenge in the Century Club.

I belong here as it was the Century Club that was my life line back in 2001 thru 2004 when I was battling what appered to be an impossible task of losing weight from a high of 376 lbs. My doctors are still amazed that someone actually can do this without the surgery. If they don't believe we can, how can we? I wouldn't have made it through without one or two specific threads and the hope of some who had gone before me. My faith in God grew during that time as well as knowing God nourished me with everything I needed so the miracle could happen. And HeShe still does. One Day at a Time, I am given everything I need.

Thank you Mary! I needed to hear that as I begin my journey. I have a long way to go ,also. This is a restart for me from 9 years ago. I had great success and then because of health problems, strayed away. Restarting heavier than I was at first beginning. Please keep reminding me that this can be done.

I met the challenge. My first goal was no alcohol and nary a drop has passed my lips, and can't say it has been much of a struggle. I believe I was prepared. I also met goal number 2, low carb. I feel good about that too. I've pretty much stuck to inducation levels but have had some leeway in choice and have probably gone some over 20 on a few days. I discovered fat bombs, but also that the are for special situations and that I need to be aware of fat, but not afraid of it.

Moderate exercise was goal three (and lowest priority). I have done some, but my new goal will be to increase from what I have been doing. I am thinking about adding a goal about tracking food and weight.

I am looking forward to giving and receiving support from everyone over the next 5 or so weeks.
