Introducing Myself
Hello Everyone! I've been away from this board for 4 years then before that 5. I wish I had never left the support here is AMAZING. I just wrote a long post that deleted when the computer crashed, argh!
I'm 44, 287 (down 3 lbs since yesterday lol) Happily married. I Frankly haven't made a lot of progress on my weight loss. I have to say I'm overal healthy and I feel blessed. All the doctors say, everything about you is healthy but my weight. I was nervous when I saw 290 because that is pretty much 300 and I feel like I have to do something. My husband and I went Vegan last year and you know what? I gained weight. Yes you can be a fat vegan. I found a great new doctor who actually found I was hypothyroid in January, and had been misdiagnosed for years. I also have adrenal fatigue. He put me on some meds for a month and I feel great! March 2nd is the 2nd phase of my getting well. He prescribed me HCG and phendimetrazine. I'm to do a 1200 calorie a day diet with no carbs after 1:00 pm. I sure do miss the luxurious Atkins diet and it always worked for me but since I'm vegan now, no meat or cheese or dairy or eggs, it's not not possible. I'm truly praying that the HCG will work! I'm 100% focused. Look forward to being here and going through the journey with each of you. Andipand |

Have you read Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution? He has some guidelines for vegans.
When I was a vegan, my weight dropped - all the way down to 193! I've known vegans who assume that if you're avoiding animal products, you'll naturally and easily become thin. Not the case! |
