Zay- I am glad the IF is working out for you. I hope you find the right balance of carbs and calories for your best possible loss. Maybe try cutting back on one and see how it works? Zay- I am starting back IF today too. Doing a 17/7 today. Trying to work my way back up to the 19/5 i used to do. How long is your eating window? I find that when I eat LC while IF'ing the weight falls off.

Well, I am doing 2 to 3 - 36 hour fasts...Monday, Wed and sometimes Fridays. I then eat on Tuesdays, Thursdays and the weekend. I know it sounds tough but it really is easier for me. I find it easier then one meal per day or having a window or whatever. My problem is overeating on my eat days. I've only been doing the for a couple of weeks. I know my weight loss would be much better if I didn't over indulge on eating days. I'm working on this. So, when I go to sleep on Sunday, it somehow is just easier for me to know I won't eat until Tuesday. Just one full day. I plan my day. I usually make plans to keep busy with work, tasks, errands etc. and make my family a self serve slowcooker meal. They eat, I usually am gone from the house. My husband will clean up for when I return. A one meal per day seems more realistic and hope to get there one day. I do that on Fridays sometimes as Friday evenings are the start of the weekend and usually involve going out and having a drink and dinner planned. I never ever ever thought I could do a 36 hour fast. It has really got me in touch with true hunger....mentally and physically. |

New low. ok - now that I'm back to pre 're-feed' weight or better, For the few weeks, I'll be tracking my weight loss trajectory, and plotting it against my previous trajectory. I'll be looking at two things specifically: Total trajectory - where I would have been if I didn't take a weekend off for some pizza and gelato. 4 week delta - the difference between how much I lost the 4 weeks preceding, and 4 weeks following my carb re-feed. I'm not trying to prove any particular outcome, but I suspect that the final results will show I would have been better off to just stay on plan. Still, I find it interesting to be able to track the short and medium term consequences of undisciplined eating. Obviously my numbers can only be applied to me, but I haven't seen a lot of people put up this kind of data. I would like to point out that no matter the results, it took almost two weeks to stabilize and get back into a losing trajectory.

I dont think I could do that. WHEW!! 36 hrs. My hats off to you. Now I do end up getting two meals in. Breakfast and lunch... with no breakfast I am a bad thang walking. Attitude for days. So I start about 8 and end it at 1. See my issue is I overeat period. Now LC does tame that a bit but sometimes I just want to keep going. ![]() Question: What is your water cutoff time? I drink water all the way until 9-10 pm but I don't go to the restroom after I drink it that late so I assume my body is holding it. Any thoughts? Has anyone read about this? Now I did google it and some sites say you shouldn't drink after 6 and some say 7. the body produces an antidiuretic hormone if you drink afterwards so you don't dehydrate.
