In my case there is a big difference doing dishes for 5 and now it's just the two of us and except on the weekends we pretty much cook for ourselves because of our schedules during the week.

I do, too, but I do it by choice. I have a dishwasher but don't like to use it. I feel it uses more electricity, gas, and water than simply doing dishes by hand. I cook pretty much every day so there are always pots and pans as well. I rinse everything anyway before it goes in the dishwasher (when I use it) so if I am already doing that then I should just put soap on it, wipe, rinse and put in dish drainer. I do use the dishwasher if we have guests or a big holiday where there are lots of serving dishes, utensils, dishes, etc. I mean in the morning it is 3 coffee cups, two glasses, two pyrex measuring glass cups, one bowl, one saucepan, two or three spoons, one or two plates, a knife. That is it. That takes less than 10 minutes to wash so.......that is my philosophy. My family does not agree with it. They leave everything sitting out or on rare occasion stick it in dishwasher.

LOLOL NO I am not talking about weight numbers.. maybe I would say I lost 50 pounds.. but it irks the ship out of me, when people say oh I am not going to tell someone how I lost weight and blah blah..why not?? you choose to lose weight like that, so share.. of course it's all personal I get it.but on the other hand your missing out on maybe helping someone....but when I lost on Atkins when I lost on Richard Simmons..people would say oh wow your looking great.. how did you do it.. and then I said Simmon's program or Atkins...and I explained how it worked.... I mean really come on.. you don't want to tell of the plan.. be proud it worked for you.. I am not saying personal numbers.. I say it here cause we support each other..I feel like you all understand and won't go OMG Melinda you are a fat pig... but my hubs has no idea how much I weigh...

Lonykins.. I don't use it. I wash dishes as I go.. in fact I won't eat dinner until the dishes that can be washed are washed.. for lunch or breakfast.. I wash everything before I eat and put my food on paper plates.. I can't stand sitting there thinking about all the dishes I have to wash..

Even Stevia is controversial...there are many different forms of it......but, there is a lot they don't know about it...and it specifies those with diabeties on google also with lots of info...there is so much info I didn't try to copy it...since I don't use it...but, it is worth looking up if you use it in any quantity.

Just cooked breakfast for DH and I. Well it's more like dinner for me, breakfast for him. LOL. It's my last meal before bed. I didn't weigh myself today (TOM) but DH has dropped another pound or so. I'm so happy for him!
When he woke up and came out of the bedroom he said (incredulously) "Are you baking cookies??" and I said no, I just toasted some pecans in the oven. I made some chicken salad and I like to have toasted pecans sprinkled on top. Ate half and will bring the other half to work tonight for food.

I my dishwasher and I used it almost every day. Especially with all the cooking I do now. I hand wash a lot of stuff too, but it's so nice for the dishes, cups, silverware, bowls, etc. I have discovered that I don't need to soak or rinse my dishes at all! I used to in the past but this DW is the bomb! I am not kidding.....I could have crusty, week-old mac and cheese on a plate and it would scrub it clean. Amazing!

Speaking of dishes, I need to go wash some! And also put the clothes in the dryer. And get some food plates ready for DH to reheat, and my lunch for tomorrow. Yep, time to get into the swing of working again!

Hi, just back from Aldi's. They have the 3 pack of colored peppers for only $1.29. 2 of the 3 are red!!!! Our favorite one. I bought 5 packs. Both my boys will eat peppers till they come out of their ears. LOL I will pick up 5 more packs on Tuesday--the last day of the sale here.

I just made myself a coffee/mocha protein shake. I love the premiere ready to drink shakes in chocolate. Dh had also got vanilla----yucko. I hate to waste them though so I took one and added 1/2 c of coffee and some sf kahlua syrup and heated in the micro. Not my fav but I can get it down. The shakes are just too expensive to waste.

Oh, Aldi's also had fresh blackberries for $1.19---a tiny pack but they will go well in my berry upsidedown cake.

Anyone use PB2? I love it in shakes and other stuff. I just reconstituted it for ds14 to eat with celery. He loves pb but it has too much fat and sugar. The unsugar kind is so expensive and I bought lots of PB2 for my shakes anyway. It tastes great.

Some of you sent Christmas cards to Abbi, the little girl with cancer from my hometown. She is on Hospice and today is a very bad day. If you pray, please say a prayer for her and her family.
