My mom used to make dresses for my girls when they were young and she also made doll clothes for them. I had sent the pictures of the clothes I made to my sister. She wrote back and said, you are a lot like mama. You both are/was good at crafts and with sewing. It stopped me in my tracks. It had never dawned on me that I am like her when it comes to sewing and crafts. Every time I go in to sew I always think of mama. I also have her big sewing box and everything that goes in it including her scissors and pin cushion and pins . I almost feel she is here at times watching me. She would love the clothes for the girls. I just never stopped to think that we are/were two peas in a pod when it came to sewing. Made me cry. A happy type of cry yet a little sad also
One thing I found in her sewing box was a wrist pen cushion I had made in 4H in the 4th grade. I never knew she kept it all these years. Geez I am so thankful for memories God gives us after loved ones are gone. We will always have them. Well wait a minute..we will have them till we are old and our memory is gone!!!LOL

Sue, what a sweet memory of your mother. My grandmother was the seamtress in our family. She could make anything from nothing. I have a red wool cape she made me from an old wool coat when I was little. My daughter wore it and both of my granddaughters have posed for pictures in it. She used to make Barbie doll clothes that were awesome. She made all of her granddaughter's wedding dresses until it was my turn and I made my own. When she was young, she made a tent. Lots of memories.

Good morning. Ugh---Monday already???? Wish it were a joke. LOL

Although I came in today and went to put my purse in my desk and there was a nice card from the Matriarch of the church wishing me a "Happy Hearts day!" How cute and thoughtful. I sent her an email.

Dh and I were talking about food and stuff and I mentioned tonight we're having fish tacos and he got so excited. roflol WTH??? He said he just loves them and I had no idea. I'm making a new sauce---creamy chipotle sauce for them and he picked up our favorite taco shells---lc---only 4 carbs each although they are pretty small, super crunchy.

Question: do you like to try on clothes? I don't---at all. I hate it.

The reason I ask is dh wants me to wear clothes that fit--lol, I have tons of stuff but have been so big and had so many clothes be too small, I have an aversion to trying on clothes(especially pants). I should really go through some of my stuff---especially pants and find some that fit or I might pass them by and not even get to wear them but I don't want to. Advice????

Try them on. There is no way around it! I bought jeans Friday in my "size" that were too big. I have even bought several pairs of the same jeans only to find there is a difference in the size.

You are just going to have to suck it up cupcake.

But, but, but . . . Ok, I guess I just don't have a choice. Maybe I'll be able to purge some more stuff that way.

You and me both. I can't stand to have muffin top. When you are built like a boiled egg with toothpicks in it you have two choices. You can have muffin top and they fit in the legs, or they can fit in the waist and have giant legs.

The shakes are going good. I am feeling better and I have been regular for the first time in years! I have not weighed yet, I am giving them two weeks before I weigh. Yesterday I only had my two shakes all day.

Then you should have no trouble finding pants! Try the Lee brand pants as well as a few others. The Union Bay & Royalty are both cut fuller in the heiney. Stay away from Angels jeans

Thanks for the info on brands. I have tons of older pants in my closet--in bins. The problem is the sizes are not the same. Some 20s fit like 16 and some 22s fit like 18. It's all a mess but it would be silly not to use them since I already have them. Kwim?
