Chewie my ankle is better thank you so much for asking!

Busy day today. My friend is having a house warming/birthdays party this afternoon. I made a BBQ cake last night and this morning I have some cooking to do.

It was requested I bring BLT Pasta salad and bacon wrapped chili dogs. I cheated and got pre cooked bacon for the salad.

It's going to be really nice again today so dh and I decided to do bbq burgers and dogs tonight on the grill. I'm going to have the boys set up the patio with chairs and clean out the firepit too. We'll have a fire and roast mini dogs!!!!

I just got a Costco membership last week. Nearest is 22 miles from my house, but we finally decided to get one. I like their organic stuff and the boneless skinless chicken thighs at 99 cents/lb. Also the nuts, like a 3 lb bag of walnuts for like 15 bucks......
Oh goody - now you can tell me all the deals that costco has. I have a membership - but it's 40 miles from me. DS always gets us the walnuts when he gets dog food. We go through lots of walnuts here. Didn't know about the 99 cent thighs though. Just got membership to Sam's - they are closer right now. Any good buys at Sam's anyone?

Ok - I'll bite - what is a bbq cake anyway? Celebrating your b-day too - right?

HOWDY LINDA!! BEEN WORRIED ABOUT YOU!

sigh Costco looked like it had WONDERFUL meat and organic etc but since i would only get to go maybe 2-3 times a year and we already have a sams membership we didn't go a head and join our sams and costco are both in knoxville over 65 miles away
i did like that costco had 7 1/2 doz eggs you could buy where sams has the 15 doz the smaller one would fit in my fridge where the 15 doz won't
Sams i usually get pet food, SPLENDA which i FORGOT yesterday saves me 20 bucks verses buying it in our walmart if i buy the big box of packets, nathans hot dogs (they were out yesterday) big bag pepperoni, Dawn, the huge box of paper towels that i got Ashley, but i don't get that TP i gotta have cottonelle because of my vulvadyna , EAS advantEDGE shakes to have for quick breakfasts (Low carb and 110 calories) G2 gatorade and the 36 or 32 packs of water and Ken gets 5 hour energies Steven gets his pens for school there
i am sure there is something else on my regular run there but i can't think of it now

Aw Deb - you're sweet to worry about me - but no need to - I'm here and about. Thanks for all the things to think about and look for when I hit Sam's - all good to know. That's a lot of eggs to keep around - wonder if I could get by with it or not. I usually have 3-4 on hand most of the time.

You got a lot accomplished today. Me not so much - working on taxes. Ugh. Hate that time of year. Could not believe the size of the Federal tax instruction booklet - more than 2 times as thick as last year. Just crazy. Taxes shouldn't be so darn aggravating and complicated. Sorry - had to have a lil rant there.

Hi girls, have been pulling my hair out with taxes preparation all day. Mood rating -foul! We get Turbo Tax, so it helps out, but still have to pay an ungodly amount back. Eeek! Grrrrrr! Now that is ruining my day. We can't even get the child tax credit because we made too much and have only one child. I'm not sure what college assistance the kiddo will get.

The government should come over and shake my hand and pat me on the back for being responsible, working, and not overburdening the system with multiple children instead of punishing me. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Dh went to Sam's to get some supplies and a big ole corned beef--they were OUT. Then he stopped at Aldi's and they were out. I guess we're not having corned beef today. He did get steaks and I will also make some wings cause I can't eat steak yet.

So yesterday, I did not feel well. My stomach has been off all week. I have no appetite and ate hardly anything yesterday and Friday. I just can't get anything down. I am drinking a lot of tea---chamomile to calm my tummy. Today finally, it feels a tad better.

I'm going to make a Chipotle hummus today. Yum. Not sure yet what else though cause I just couldn't get my head together enough to make the meal plan yesterday. I sat outside in the sun with my dog and cats and my tea for a long time. I did do laundry and took apart my frig and cleaned it---mostly the drawers this time. The shelves are still clean. I should have taken a nap but didn't even do that.
